Brandon House Hotel

We were in a warm secluded quiet room.

There's no central light in the ceiling in the bedding area. The bedside lights are not bright enough. There are no plug points by the beds.

Very comfortable night in the hotel.Used room service for evening meal and breakfast .Service efficient and friendly.Some issues with organising a taxi and Stephen on reception was very helpful .

We were unable to have Breakfast as we left early to get our work done. (Erecting 12m Totem sign for McDonalds!)But the evening meals were both excellent.Also we got the work finished early so were able to have a work-out in the gym. Very enjoyable!

The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The Staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Exactly what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. There is even an EV charger in the car park.

The building shows some signs of needing repainting here and there, but I suppose it could be called vintage if they wait a little longer. We forgot some stuff in our room and were told it would be sent to us by post, but as it didn't arrive within 11 days, it wasn't sent by registered post and is probably lost. Regardless of these, the hotel is still a good place to stay.

Very nice hotel, not far from the city center. Very nice place to spend time with family, many attractions for kids. amazing restaurant and fantastic people who work there. Very tasty breakfast

The hotel needs some renovation - especially bathrooms, there are no sun beds at the pool and no space to leave a towel, no bathrobes for the guests, sauna quite old and is not hot enough

Location and welcoming atmosphere the room was excellent. Staff were very friendly and always helpful

The pool was freezing cold and it needs maintenance. Many of the buttons for the pool were broken with broken tiles and rust around. The floor was very slippery and could do with rubber mats.

Location - great for Wexford/ Kilkenny/ Waterford

No lift to first floor which was fine for us

The place was stunning, the staff are just so lovely to, the steak in the Library bar was definitely the best steak I’ve ever eaten before, the pool and everything else was just unreal, we had a lovely stay.

Room was a bit warm and stuffy at night.

Looks more like a 2 star old overpriced hotel

The food in the restaurant is terrible, coffee during breakfast is weak and tasteless.

Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from. Dinner was very good although the portions were a bit too big.

The hotel was quite far out of town. Too far to walk so a car is essential.

Superb breakfast, clean rooms and very , very friendly staff.

Location was good. Room was nice. Staff friendly. Having a pool was a plus.

Gents changing room in leisure centre could have been cleaner. Some air-conn in the changing rooms would be helpful and towels might be bigger. Not all the facilities at the leisure centre worked but pool was nice, not to crowded and the sauna and steam room were good and hot.

We were a group of cyclists taking on a multi day charity cycle and arrived quite late in the evening and were looked after by staff from the moment we arrived.From taking and storing our bikes overnight to ensuring we had a beautiful meal that evening and a lovely breakfast before we left early next morning.Would definitley reccomend and look forward to going back sometime.

Nice building

A real mixed bag re the staff - bar and waiting staff were excellent, especially the lady from Hong Kong. The 2 reception staff looked and acted like they didn’t want to be there (and / or didn’t want us to be there!). We certainly didn’t get a warm welcome from the reception staff and they appeared thoroughly disinterested throughout our visit.

The room was nice and very comfortable.The facilities such as the leisure centre were all clean and working order.The staff were very nice and welcoming.

The hotel is a bit dated in parts, especially the leisure centre, the interior of the leisure centre looks like something from the 90s and takes from the overall experience of the hotel.Our hotel room had a poor view viewpoint, the view was the walls of the otherside of the hotel which contained panels covered in mould.For the price paid, and for the 4 star rating, there was nothing extra upon arrival that made the stay memorable, simple gestures like bathrobes and slippers or a chocolate on the bed upon arrival.
