Palette Resort Myrtle Beach - All Inclusive Reviews Rating
Review summary
The hotel reviews reflect a significant level of dissatisfaction, particularly regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and staff service. Guests reported unclean rooms with issues like mold, cockroaches, and broken amenities, which overshadowed the spacious accommodations and good location. While some appreciated the friendly front desk staff and views, the overall experience was marred by the lack of proper upkeep and amenities as advertised.

The location was great. Great views from the room. They need an exterminator.
We spent almost $800 for three nights over Independence Day weekend. The first night seemed fine, aside from piles of trash by the elevators. We brushed it off as holiday weekend chaos. By the second night, we had roaches. We told the front desk, but they barely reacted—like it was just another day for them . No other rooms were available in the hotel or Myrtle Beach at that! So they got a staff member to spray our room instead. Housekeeping isn’t included, apparently cleaning is a luxury, which might explain the bugs. I understand “you get what you paid for” but I’ve stayed in cheaper places that were much cleaner. Definitely not what we expected for the price. Besides the roaches the hotel was in a great spot, and the views were great.

Loved the GM! The room was very clean. It was a two bedroom suite ocean view. Very nice.
Not enough towels.

Absolutely nothing. Not even a motel has giving me such a horrible experience with a stay. Staff are not kind or courteous.
Upon arrival for check in there was a huge line. I stood in line for about two hours. When it was finally my turn to check in, I was told that my room “ King Studio” was not ready yet and this is 6:30pm by then. So I decided to ask for a parking pass and go to dinner. My whole itinerary for my day was messed up because this so called resort didn’t have their act together. The reason why the line was soooo long was because apparently they had zero rooms cleaned. Eventually, I was able to check in by 10pm. I asked front desk how were they going to compensate for the horrible experience?? The girl proceeded to say that I’d have to speak with Yolanda the manager. I hunted her down that night but kept avoiding me. I then, asked the front desk girl to talk to her for me since I shouldn’t have to be chasing no one around the building. The next morning I checked out by 10:30am. I then once again asked the question “how am I going to be compensated for this mess?!” Front desk told me that the manager had approved for me to get a $50 credit. She instructed for me to contact booking.com since that’s how I booked my stay. Before leaving the property parking lot I called booking.com to let them know that the resort had issued them that $50 credit and that I had to go through them (booking.com) to be able to get that credit to my acct. The booking.com agent proceeded to obtain my booking info to confirm the case and then asked me to be placed on hold in order for her to verify this information with the resort. Palette Resort never answered the call. The agent from booking.com told me that she would escalate the case. It’s been more than a week and booking.com has not had success with getting a hold of them. I guess they need that money more than I do. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

The room was clean
The fact that we had to wait almost 4 hours in line to check in because they only had 1 person working and no rooms were ready till 7 pm

Ocean front, king size bed, refrigerator and couch. Room very clean. Walking distance to food and amusement park.
The air conditioner sounds like a freight train. It was too loud to turn on so we didn't. We just left the door open. The rail on the bed was loud and squeaky every time we moved around.

Hotel was not in a nice area. The lobby had a bad smell. The elevators were dirty and disgusting. The room was absolutely horrible. There was mold in the microwave, there was a bug on the bed. The entire room was so dirty it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Parking was across the road in a lot that was dark and we did not feel comfortable parking and walking back to the hotel due to people standing outside the hotel. There was a bad smell. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If the room was free I would not stay there!

The Bed was Ok. The beach was great it was right outside the hotel. Area was VERY pleasant I may say. You can tell the hotel was a great hotel back in the day.
There was a smell throughout the hotel. They NEVER had any towels done or ready when you needed them. When I was checking in there was 2 people that checked in and checked right out due to the rooms not being up to par.

I appreciated being able to check in early. The best part of our stay was the staff! The room was clean.
The first room we were assigned was not clean(stated clean in the computer according to the staff) I expected more regarding the property as this was my first stay and reviews weren't too bad but overall we felt that the hotel needs some work. Seems more like a motel vs resort.
