- This is a gorgeously appointed hotel. The room was sumptuous, the bathroom was like a temple: marble, with heated floor and towel rack. Comfortable bed and delicious food at breakfast. I was impressed.
- Wonderful location and cool history. The town is quaint with plenty of shopping. Very attentive and friendly staff.
Cons -
- Staff at night were warm and welcoming, but in the morning they were rude. Treated me like a space alien who didn't belong there. I am young, urban, traveling alone. Got the feeling they only wanted chi-chi retired couples in their midst. Ruined the stay.
- Pillows were quite terrible actually. Like sleeping on a deflated Ziplock bag. Walls are a tad thin and noise travels easily, but I expected that considering the age of the hotel. Mattress was also rather stiff.
