Hotel Fauchere

This is a gorgeously appointed hotel. The room was sumptuous, the bathroom was like a temple: marble, with heated floor and towel rack. Comfortable bed and delicious food at breakfast. I was impressed.

Staff at night were warm and welcoming, but in the morning they were rude. Treated me like a space alien who didn't belong there. I am young, urban, traveling alone. Got the feeling they only wanted chi-chi retired couples in their midst. Ruined the stay.

Wonderful location and cool history. The town is quaint with plenty of shopping. Very attentive and friendly staff.

Pillows were quite terrible actually. Like sleeping on a deflated Ziplock bag. Walls are a tad thin and noise travels easily, but I expected that considering the age of the hotel. Mattress was also rather stiff.

Clean room, quiet night’s sleep. Staff was very pleasant and on top of everything. Breakfast was great.

The location, luxe bedding, tasteful snd classic decor, and the beautiful balcony. Both the restaurant t and bar were great additions.

Location and the facility.

I thought the price is too high.Also the fire alarm located above the bed blinks in a way that makes it impossible to sleep. I know this is a must have by regulations but not the blinking light.

Nice building, comfy bed & pillows, modern bathroom. Good housekeeping

Noisy. One night someone was cutting trees between 2&4 am. Rainfall shower only, can't wash underparts. No chair/ desk situation, but there wasn't really any room anyway. Hard to find receptionist.

The place is very authentic.

1. The shower, difficult to operate and uncomfortable.2. The fact that they start serving breakfast at 0800am which is too late. There was no option for self made breakfast; they did not offer a takeaway for early risers.

Coffee station in room was not clean. Restaurant was very disappointing but they did make good on it. Food was cold twice and they needed more help for service. Atmosphere is great. Been here before and all was good, that’s why so disappointing.

The location was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming. After we checked in, we took a walk around Milford, which is a lovely town. We had a wonderful, relaxed dinner in the hotel at Bar Louis. Our room, although small, was comfortable. The Bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The included breakfast was a buffet, but perfectly prepared, with a variety of delicious offerings.

The room could have used a chair. The bed was comfy, but there was no place it sit otherwise.

It was adequate. We were told that the breakfast buffet started at 8am which it did. We arrived very close to that time but the egg dish was cold and didn't seem freshly prepared.

We also ate dinner at the hotel. Again, adequate but not exceptional by any means. Salad was light on the roasted beets. Hamburger wasn't the highest quality meat. Dessert (tarte tatin) was not good at all. Tasted like canned apple pie filling thrown on top of puff pastry.

It was clean, quiet and loved the quaint and antique atmosphere.

We lost power during the night , so we couldn't really do anything
