Hyatt House Charlotte Center City

Very nice property. Very beautifully decorated. I love the little market. It was a very nice hotel. We were staying there for a NBA game at the spectrum center and it is basically connected to the spectrum center so that is actually wonderful convenience.

The parking situation. I don’t know if I just missed that part when I booked or if it wasn’t mentioned, I’m not 100% sure right now. I did not know it was valet and I did not know that it was $50 a night.

The beds were not that great. It was too difficult to control to temperature in the room, so it was too warm all night.

Waited over an hour for my room to be ready. Lobby is busy and unorganized, construction out front. Unaware of valet parking that was $57 and a complete cluster! Never received a text either and had to go back and ask for it.

I enjoyed the location, free breakfast, cleanliness of the hotel, and staff was very nice.

When we arrive, there was quite a wait to check in. The room card reader was very slow that day. Not to mention we got all the way to our room and the card to open the door did not work! Therefore, I had to go back to the lobby and have two new cards issue. also, there was no lotion in our room.

Was given only one bed when i paid for a room with double beds. i was not given a refund for the extra cost either. valet is very slow and you feel rushed to unpack or pack back your things in the car becauce everyone is waiting on you due to it only being one car at a time. our shower was broken as well which made it really hard. no one came to fix the faucet so we could shower the right way. the space was very nice but these things made me not want to stay here ever again.

The room was great. Spacious and excellent facilities. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean. I had hoped to use the pool, but the weather was pretty lousy whilst I was there. I did take a look and it was very small, but adequate to cool off if needed.

The free breakfast was rubbish. I don't eat carbs so my choice was very limited, I was able to have some bacon and scrambled egg. It was cold and tasteless. I didn't bother with it the second morning. The photo of the free breakfast showed yogurt and berries Reality was a very lumpy looking yogurt and some hard melon. Really disappointed. I would just go to the excellent diner across the street.
