Pillow was to small

It seems to be a hotel for people who will be walking around the trails in the area. Like if you were visiting a family home in the shape of a hotel. The staff was kind .

They had to ask the chef if we could eat dinner in the restaurant. Other people were eating so we were unsure of what the policy was. We were served dinner and it was very good.

This hotel is just outside the town of Trier on a wooded hill and it will remind experienced travelers of the classic small German hotels of the past. It has been several years since our last stay here, and in the interim, the hotel has undergone a major renovation. Strengths of this hotel: location, staff, breakfasts, rooms, beds and opening windows.The elevator is also very efficient and effective. Parking is readily available and the hotel is only ten minutes away from old town.

There is no AC, though a fan and open window kept us cool.

A nice and calm hotel. Great staff, very friendly. The breakfast was good, as expected. We also decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and we didn't regret it, because it was excellent.

The only thing I can think of is slow wi-fi. Also, some people won't like the location (if you intend to explore Trier), but its quite peaceful with a forest nearby.

What a wonderful location in the woods overlooking the city of Trier. Whilst it’s a trek off if choose to walk as we did from the city the staff, restaurant and rooms was amazing. Thank you

Friendly staff. They upgraded our room from twin beds to a a more expensive room with a double bed without us asking for it. Modern bathroom with a big powerful hot shower. The breakfast buffet was very good!

The weather ;-) because the forest/nature/terrace around the hotel is best enjoyed in summer.

Noisy bed?

Cheerful welcome when checking in mid-evening by the same team that were serving in the restaurant. Enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, both had a good selection of dishes and products to choose from. My room and bed was comfortable and the smart bathroom had a heated floor along a good shower. Efficient and quick check out. Recommended.

Travelling through the area the hotel is ideally placed for an overnight stay outside of the city accessible from the main roads, less so for those wishing to visit Trier unless by car.

Size of room. Breakfast included. Parking. Proximity to city. Dining room for evening. Pleasant staff.

The staff were really friendly and helpful going above and beyond to help us. It is located close to hiking and biking tracks and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Excellent choice at breakfast and the restaurant evening meals were among the best I have had on my trip and very reasonably priced. The rooms are a good size too.

A lot of cobwebs and hard to keep cool with no aircon. Rooms a bit dated but would consider staying again for one night

The location was perfect for a quiet stay close to Trier. The car parking was free and the food was delicious. We also thought that the staff were friendly and welcoming. We stayed 2 nights. Trier is a lovely city to explore.

internet is unrealiable, the towels were smelling funny, the room seemed rather dirty, the so called double bed is actually 2 single beds put together and customer service is absolutely a joke, all they know to do is to shrug their shoulders, i would never reccomend it to anyone

Nice location, in the moutains with a lot of green. Has a nice garden. Old but comfy vaction place, everything is quite clean. Beds were ok, just big enough for 1 person but definitely ok. Breakfast was ok, has all the basic stuff, not much to complain about.

We had a car but i think only downside would be that the hotel is a bit far from the city (about 3km) so it's a bit far to walk. There seems to be a bus station nearby the school though i don't know how often it comes.
