I think the building being smoke and pet free made a difference, it smelled actually good, the mini fridge area was nice, loved the chair in the room and the lighting was great! Loved the dove products.

The bed was great.. It snowed and my car was cleared of snow and did not require shoveling out or clearing when I was ready to leave. I did not expect that.

best budget motel ive ever stayed at
Great location and less expensive relative to other hotels nearby. This is a very basic hotel. Don't expect much except for a place to sleep. Despite hearing people in their rooms from the hallway, the rooms were quiet.
It was a place to sleep for a fee hours after a long grueling day of travel.

Top Tips
- Portland International Jetport (PWM) is 78 mi (125 km) south of Waterville and typically offers more daily flight options than Bangor International Airport (BGR) at 56 mi (90 km) northeast. Waterville Robert Lafleur Airport (WVL) does not serve commercial flights. For the most flexible travel, rent a car at PWM or BGR; drive times to Waterville average 1.5-2 hours depending on route and traffic.
- During peak events such as Colby College graduation and the Maine International Film Festival (MIFF) in July, hotel rates in Waterville can increase by 20-40% and rooms sell out quickly. Book at least 6 to 8 weeks in advance to secure preferred hotels during these times.
- Select your hotel based on proximity to your main destination. Colby College is about 2 mi (3.2 km) northwest of downtown, while Main Street's cultural venues, including the Paul J. Schupf Art Center, are located centrally. Use map filters when booking to match your accommodations to your itinerary.
- Verify included amenities such as reliable Wi-Fi, free parking—especially important if renting a car—and breakfast options. Over 75% of Waterville hotels offer complimentary breakfast; request confirmation on accessible room features or onsite facilities as needed.
- Standard U.S. tipping applies: tip 15-20% at restaurants, $15 per night for housekeeping, and $15 per bag for bell service. Carry small bills for these purposes.
- Ask hotel staff for local recommendations; front desk teams often know current events or trails like Quarry Road Trails 2 mi (3.2 km) from Main Street and popular dining in the Kennebec Valley.
- Pack layers and comfortable shoes. Daytime highs range from 15°C (59°F) in spring to over 28°C (82°F) in summer, with possible 10-20°F swings between day and night, even in July.
- Explore Waterville's downtown core. Main Street features over a dozen independent shops, art galleries, and venues such as the Colby College Museum of Art, which is less than 1 mi (1.6 km) from most central hotels.
- A valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, is required for hotel check-in. Expect to see Maine's 9% state lodging tax added to your bill in addition to the base room rate.
- For families, many hotels provide indoor pools, suites, or connecting rooms. Confirm availability of these features and ask about family-friendly activities, such as the Children's Discovery Museum, located 900 m (0.56 mi) from downtown.
- Business travelers benefit from hotels offering high-speed Wi-Fi and business center access. Several properties near Kennedy Memorial Drive are within 3 mi (4.8 km) of major commercial hubs and Colby College.
- If bringing sports gear for Kennebec River or Quarry Road activities, check for secure storage. Approximately 40% of Waterville hotels offer dedicated sports equipment storage, and ski or bike rentals often partner with local shops. Verify amenities before booking.
