Pros +
- The location is amazing. Amongst multi-million dollar cottages and close to great golf.
- Amazing location and view
- Scenery was beautiful. Accommodation was very clean and well kept. Lots of opportunities for leisure time, walking, canoeing, swimming, campfires! Very quiet because it was off-season, but there was a wedding reception on the weekend and it was still fairly quiet. Keep up the good work!
Cons -
- This hotel is extremely tired. Carpets in the rooms must be 20 years old. This place needs a facelift or to sell.
- Rooms are a little dated, furniture worn out, needs to be updated.
- Mould in the bathroom, docks need replacing

Location. Facilities in the room. Cleanliness.
Took a while to heat the room.
Location was 2.5 hrs from Toronto, which was not too far. Resort was at the end of the lake, which was ideal as water was calm, clean and not many speed boats. It was a picturesque, quiet and relaxing location. Perfect for young families. Beautiful golf club. Many water activities and staff are all very helpful and friendly.
A bit dated, no free breakfast and patio/ lounge restaurant had limited choices and expensive. (Did not eat on location).Room rate a bit expensive for a dated accommodation. However, the activities and relaxation paid off. We would come back.
Dog friendly, quiet, lots of amenities, good variety of restaurants
The units are showing their age- lots of outlets that didn't work, tippy toilet, wear and tear on outside of buildings
Everything was awesome. Staff was so friendly and helpful.
Only thing was the room facilities was complete. TV was not working, fireplace logs were not there. And we paid for that which we didn’t even get the complete service.
Loved the view from my room! And the rooms were a great size
A lot of walking and getting luggage to room was a challenge
We stayed at Rocky Crest Golf Resort for our honeymoon, and it was a wonderful experience. They surprised us with complimentary champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries, which made our stay feel extra special. The resort is set in a stunning natural location, and the room was very comfortable and clean. We also had a canoeing adventure that took an unexpected turn when we got caught in a storm and stranded on a far island—but the staff handled the situation calmly and did their best to bring us back safely and efficiently. The nearby restaurants served excellent food, adding to the overall experience.
There wasn’t much to dislike! The only thing I would mention is that the bathroom didn’t have a toothbrush or toothpaste, which would have been a nice touch.

View from our front porch was beautiful. Room was very comfortable, Loved the suite style of the room. Ground were nice.
The knob on the air conditioner was broken so we could not turn it down, though not a big deal but it was a little cool. Lighting in the sitting room was a little dark to read by.

Property was beautiful and well kept. Pool cleaned daily and the abundance of water activities was awesome. Our kids did not leave the lake all weekend!
They could use a bigger fire pit or set a time limit. We never got to do snores with the kids. People sat down both days and hogged the 6 or 7 chairs and wouldn’t move. Our kids never got a chance to get in to make them.
I liked the view and the presence of several activities for children. There is a swimming pool, water games and kayaking.
I did not like the view of the first room as the trees blocked the lake and it did not have a terrace. The second room had a better view and had a terrace. We wished that our entire stay was in the second room as its price was better than the first.
Lots of amenities for a family - dog friendly. Great food in the restaurants.
No overnight docking without paying the marina next door, hard to schedule cleanings and especially to get a full clean. Rooms need more updating
The Restaurant Food was delicious and of very good quality.
The rooms were dimly lit, poor carpet, no or few lamps, patio had not been kept up- much moss in corners- would not sit out there- not clean or comfortable….needs updating in the accommodations.
The location is lovely; nice view of the beautiful lake. Our room was right on the water. It was quiet (but might be because it was pre-season), but it was nice for sleeping. The room was, large clean and well-appointed. While it wasn’t spanking new, there was a small kitchenette, fridge, toaster, corkscrew, coffee maker, coffee, tea, full dish set, dish soap, microwave, kettle, dustpan/broom, hairdryer, dishcloth, plenty of facecloths, towels, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, soap, extra toilet paper. There was a small seating area next to the kitchenette with a high-top table and 3 chairs, a small sofa, an armchair, a smart tv, wifi, a DVD player, A/C & heating. The couch was a double pull-out there were extra pillows and blanket in the closet. The bedroom was spacious had a large bed, dresser, 2 nightstands with lamps and a rocking chair. There were also a couple of closets with 2 robes in it on.The bathroom was large and clean with a deep tub/shower and wide counter and bright lighting. There was a screened-in front mudroom type area, and a small front deck with a small cafe set on it as well as 3 Muskoka chairs a few meters in front of the room that looked out onto the water. There was a small stream running by our building and a series of decks joined around the lakefront. The front board walk wrapped around the other buildings and came around the front of the restaurants and pool area. There were rows of chaise lounges on the lower deck and stairs leading up to the pool with outdoor seatings areas and what looked to be an outdoor bar that likely is open in the busy season. The pool area was quiet and clean warmer than the lake. The grounds are nice, some landscaping, but overall feels like you’re in the woods. The main reception building is newer, with bags of complementary ice, snacks for sale (ice cream bars, drinks, chips, candy), some health/beauty items, a bathroom, some merch and a shelf with free DVDs on it.
The place could use a couple of updates/renovations; just on some of the things that wear over time, or date with the passing years - especially in the woods. But nothing major: the bugs were bad, but that’s just the way it is this time of year in Muskoka. For families with young children, it would be nice If there was more of a beach area, but again, the pool is great for them.
Location. Restaurant food.
No outdoor comfortable seating near your room or in common areas.Windows need cleaning… regularly.
- Location (stunning views)- Everything was conveniently located - Spacious Rooms- Great wait staff and the food was very good at all of the restaurants.- Amazing inflatable obstacle course for the kids, my son loved it (more supervision is recommended).- low traffic around the Marina, so it was safe for kids.- Snacks sold at the front desk. This could be expanded for more essentials.
- Pool was not maintained well. Pool needed skimming throughout the day, and the water looked cloudy, because of the amount of people using it. Interlocking around the pool was old, so mud was inside the hot tub.- Beds were uncomfortable and for such a large master bedroom, the bed should be a King size in this day and age. Could use a second or larger pool, because, that’s where families with toddlers mostly congregated. Great demand for the pool.- couches and kitchen high top table were really beat up and need to be updated.
