Less than 10 minutes’ walk from Eleanor Lake and surrounded by the mountains and wildlife of Blue River, this British Columbia campground features cottages with running electricity and free Wi-Fi. A fire pit and a picnic area are available to all guests of Blue River Campgrounds & Cabin-public washroom. Each private cottage offers a fan and heating facilities. All cottages also feature mountain views. Bikes, canoes and carts are available for hire at Cabins & Campgrounds Blue River. Laundry facilities and a small outdoor pool are also featured on the property. Guests can prepare a meal in the Cookhouse, which is equipped with a refrigerator, stove and BBQ facilities. The on-site convenience store offers snacks and drinks. River Safari is 2.5 mi from this campground. Murtle Lake is 40 minutes’ drive away.

Pros +
- JUst basic value for money and nice camping environment--although it was just 100 yards from a pipeline construction and native protest site, I found that aspect quite interesting
- The setting - the starry sky at night
- Nothing
Cons -
- Tiny cabins. Run down furniture. Raw sewage smell emitting from the shared bathrooms. No private bathroom or kitchen. Just a pokey little cabin with a bed. Did not stay!
- With the cabin, we had to rent the lines.outside bathrooms needed some updates.
- I banged my head a couple of times before remembering that the ceiling slopes down on both sides.
