Located on Galiano Island, the hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Vancouver Ferry Terminals. Pros +
- Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Comfortable room with a deck overlooking the ocean.
- Quiet, clean, beautiful. Has character and the room has everything you need - even a wine fridge. The gardens are a special place.
- The rooms are absolutely beautiful! Faces the water, outdoor hot tub, big kitchen and spacious.
Cons -
- Bothersome issues with a refrigerator that did not work. (Staff tried to help, but with limited success.) The seating area of the room could really use a small coffee table.
- Staff are all polite and professional. However a lot of the staff smile in this strained, somewhat creepy way. Also are reluctant to go out of their way to help out.
- Room was not ready at our check-in time, and coffee maker had not been cleaned. Incredibly soft mattresses and pillows were not supportive and made it hard to sleep; left us waking with sore backs. Should have brought our pillows from home.
