Cedar Vista Motel

If you're considering staying here, especially in the so called 3 bedroom bungalow I would recommend that you look elsewhere. We had a few serious issues when we stayed here recently. Bathroom & kitchen sink was not clean & functional. No help from staff

The "house" that we rented was surprisingly nice for a simple motel in a remote location like this.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was immaculate and had everything that you might need. One could not ask for a better location.

No complaints at all. The location is close to the hub; the staffs are nice; and the room can be told that it just got renovated recently so everything is pretty new and clean. Love it!!

Fare/night : much higher than at reservation which is unacceptable

The so-called 3 bedroom bungalow is overpriced and under-equipped. There were no clean saucepans or kitchen implements, no toaster or kettle and the kitchen itself hadnt been adequately cleaned. Other rooms were okay. The oven and the few battered pans that were there were encrusted with burnt food. Eventually after complaints, the owner provided a few pans and implements but for almost C$500 a night, we felt cheated. The manager was helpful and friendly but couldnt do much to make this a better stay. I recommend that Booking.com not list this property.

Great location, accessible to grocery store and restaurants, close to all the major touristy places. Very affordable as the motel works when you are travelling in a tight budget. Clean room and friendly staff.

kitchen was partially clean. This maybe because they let us check-in early so they might not have did a thorough check.

Best thing was location

The cleanliness was not good. Shower was dirty. Even someone elses hair ties were left behind

Rooms were tiny and outdated. The bed was sunken in and all the bedding was dirty and stained. When asked to replace it they were also stained and dirty. We ended up leaving

The place was very big, very comfortable. Really nice property and the staff was really nice

If I could just make a suggestion to maybe put more of a privacy door up so that the office is not overlooking the apartment. It would make people feel a lot more comfortable

Accomodating friendly staff. Very responsive and present if anything was needed. Allowed early check in. Size of bungalow was ideal for a large groupLocation was great.

Didn't have two sofa beds as listed. Said 5 bed unit but it is a three bed unit. Ad needs updating. Wifi didn't work properly but we enjoyed ourselves either way.

Location. Foodland is only across the road, there are also few restaurants along the highway. Only 10 mins walk to Tobermory Harbour. Fanthom Five visitor centre is only 3 mins drive away.

Very dirty. There are lots of rubbish left by people before us that wasnt cleaned- used toothbrush, opened toothpaste tube, used soap bars, empty shower gel bottle. The utensils are disgusting and werent put away from the previous rentee. So make sure you clean everything first before using them. The floor was not cleaned. The oven and microwave are filthy. There is very little privacy-see through curtains, even in the bedrooms that we need to put a blanket on top just to make it a bit more private. Bring bug spray! There are lots of mosquitoes!

The location to Tobermory was great. Staff were nice.

A very uncomfortable stay. We were in room 1 and water kept oozing through the floor? The floor kept oozing throughout our stay. The bathroom had hair on the shower wall. It just was simply not clean and comfortable enough, despite the very friendly staff.
