    • This hotel was very charming. The room was small but had an amazing view. It met our needs perfectly.
    • Lovely staff and great space and amenities in the room.
    • Nice spot on the ocean

    Cons -

    • A coffee machine would have been great!
    • For boaters the fuel dock should open at 7 AM - not 10 AM. I had to go to Gorge Harvour and buy $1,200 fuel which is a missed opportunity.
    • It was renovation time so the restaurant was closed.

    Lovely location

Noise at night and expensive for such a small old room.

We loved the location and the friendly staff. The building has a wonderful old charm and is very clean.

No coffee available on site. The closest morning coffee is only available off site and not before 8 am.

Incredible service. The lady on reception was so friendly and welcoming and upgraded us to the entire suite when we only booked a basic double as we were the only guests at that time. (Off peak season). The pub attached is fantastic also, cannot recommend this place enough, all the staff are friendly and the pool table is free!

    It was perfect

Breakfast was not included, but the full kitchen was great. the location was lovely, being able to see the activities at the marina, and the ferry coming and going. The old feel ambiance was lovely, the decore in he lobby and dining room was beautiful and comforting!

The cabin we booked was supposed to have the ocean view but the huge trees in front of the Cabin obstructed the view. The stuff was very accomodating, and moved us to the main Lodge and our view was absolutely Lovely. The coffee table in the living room was covered with animal hair, and there were mouse traps under the kitchen cupboards, but the Inn is old, so to be expected. otherwise it was a nice getaway!

The location was very good, the view exceptional and the cabin was handy to the Cortes ferry, Rebecca Spit, grocery shopping, food truck, coffee and desserts.

The cabin was disappointing and I felt it could have been cleaner. The bathroom floor was not up to standard and the shower curtain needs to be replaced. The windows in the entire cabin hadn't been washed in some time and really needed to have the cobwebs removed and given a good scrub inside and out; kitchen curtains need to be replaced. Although our stay was mid September, the dining room was closed for the season and the Pub only open for lunch and dinner until 7 P.M. with a limited menu. We paid 'summer' rental rate for this cabin and after spending a few days on the island and being disappointed, I feel it should have been the 'shoulder' rate. Not only were the amenities at Heriot Bay reduced but other venues on the island had closed for the season. The only option we had for dinner out was the pub. Had I been made aware of these closures at the time of booking, I would have changed the dates or booked something on Vancouver Island.

A beautiful old hotel situated on the water in a cute Harbour. The place is extremely well maintained. There is a wonderful display of flowers and a beautiful garden. The rooms are on the small size but that is to be expected in an historic building. This is more than compensated by the friendly staff and the location. I will make this an annual destination.

As I said the room was small but this was a minor issue.

I loved the location and the convenience of having a pub and restaurant attached to the hotel itself. Very friendly staff and a cute little cat.

The rooms were a little dated, it was difficult to get into the room because of how close the bed was to the door and bugs found their way in very easily.

    No coffee machine in room

such incredible history and so friendly. pet friendly. great pub

mattress was too hard for my old hips

    3JanicePosted on: 9-25-2023

There was no breakfast option, not even a coffee maker in the room

Very tiny room, door to room and door to bathroom barely cleared the bed.Bed was a double bed, advertised on website as a a Double/Queen whatever that is. It was too small for two people to comfortably sleep. The bedcovers did not hang down on each side enough. Customer service was generally meh.

    5DanaPosted on: 8-26-2023

there was no breakfast of coffee on site

coffee would have been great and the carpets on the lower level should be removed. Too dirty and stained

    6MaryPosted on: 8-20-2023

Location is excellent next to the Cortes ferry. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice food and friendly staff.

Extremely loud music noise from some drunken patrons in the bar which made it impossible to sleep! After the bar closed, their conversations continued at a very loud volume in the parking lot until almost 3am! Be aware of the location of room you are assigned. Some rooms are probably quieter than others.
