Pros +
- We absolutely loved the location and proximity to downtown Sydney. It was very easy to get into the downtown area, but still felt like we were removed from the hustle and bustle of a major city. We stayed in a bungalow and it was perfect for our family of five (two adults and three children ages 12, nine, seven). Our daughters LOVED hanging out with the birds!
- The check-in process was quick and smooth, with all key information provided in advance. The kids loved exploring the natural surroundings, and the adults enjoyed a relaxing stay. The pool was a highlight for everyone — the kids especially had a fantastic time. A great family-friendly getaway at Discovery Parks Lane Cove!
- Location was good
Cons -
- We liked everything!
- Honestly, there’s nothing bad to say about our experience.
- Needed cleaning, main bedroom door doesn't shut, graffiti under bunk announcing who had sex there, needs painting and expensive

Peaceful location surrounded by bush, easy carparking, convenient accessibility by car.
The noise of the works happening near our cabin and the birds awakening us by hitting the glass door early in the morning.
We arrived earlier than expected and the Park was very accommodating by letting us check in early. The cabin was immaculate. Spacious with all the mod cons. Air conditioners in both bedrooms as well as the living area. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The shower had a rainfall head with good pressure. Lovely hot water. The park backed onto bush land. It was beautiful clean and quiet. The staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here. If I'm ever in Sydney again I will only stay here.
Great location, totally ok for the price. Bit basic but most of the time we were in town anyway.
Bit basic, not as clean as we experienced in other places in Australia
Lovely location adjacent to National Park withh access to walking tracks, Sites are very roomy, so occupants are not on top of each other.Easy walk to North Ryde metro station for public transport to city.
Some renovation created some industrual noise, but not too bad
Great location, lovely cabin.
Cobwebs in the shower area and on the hair dryer.
Location, had all amenities and friendly staff
Contacting staff by phone a bit of issue as often had toLeave message and booking com does not pass on info
Rural location. Lots of birds, nature walk along river and pool was good
Pool was a bit too cold and the beds were small and too soft
Comfortable, clean, lovely environment.
Wifi was pathetically inadequate. We understood construction was going on but being woken at 7am by jackhammers and angle grinders was a bit much.
The location was close to everything, couldn’t quite believe that a natural bush setting could be had this close to the city.
No water was available to the unit most of the first day whilst we were there. No pool was available on the second day.
Amazing little cabin in a beautiful location. Feels like you are away from everything but are actually close to so much. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the air con was freezing cold. Amenities were easy to use and the whole park was clean and well maintained
Peaceful surroundings considering the cemetery.
No oven, initially some issues with gate access code, also the access post could be better placed for drivers in sedans to reach out the window, I had to almost drive up the curb to get to it ;))
The property was situated in a secluded spot but the CBD could be reached by car in around 20 mins or so. It was nice to have a break from the hustle and bustle of the city while remaining within easy reach of it.It was handy having a parking space outside our front door for loading and unloading purposes. There is a nice play park on site for little ones as well as some bigger equipment for older kids which our children enjoyed. We liked using the outside BBQ areas and there were plenty dotted about the site. The ones we used were clean and it was nice to see our fellow holidaymakers respecting the public areas. The staff driving about the site in golf buggies were very friendly and some stopped to chat. The manager was also helpful when we had issues with both the cleanliness and location of our lodge.
When we arrived at our lodge we were greeted with a building site off the back of our balcony which we had not been warned about. The reception team did however organise for us to move to another lodge the next day which was much appreciated as the works started early and we couldn’t sit on the balcony or even have the doors open. The lodge in this area of works should never be offered out to people to rent without prior warning of the building work being undertaken. The two properties we stayed in were not cleaned to a good standard. The first property was quite frankly disgusting. Dirty blankets had been folded on the beds. The windows were filthy, the floor hadn’t been cleaned and there was just a lot of general dust everywhere. The manager was helpful when called, however, and did get us new covers for the evening. We were also refunded for this night which was greatly appreciated. The second lodge we stayed in was cleaned to a better standard, however, the floors still hadnt been cleaned properly and again there was a general level of dust about the property which needed to be seen to. The property was looking a bit tired and could do with a general spruce up. The bathroom was actually modern and looked relatively new; however, the pressure in the shower was very poor.
The bushland surrounds is lovely. The main bed was comfortable.
The wifi is terrible, the shower blocked up and wasn’t overly clean. There were a couple of cockroaches in the unit during our stay. The bunks were not made up and they were very uncomfortable for the kids. The pool was dirty with duck poo and lots of dirt in the smaller pool which made it gritty and uncomfortable.
Really friendly staff exceptional location with good walks close by
The bush, surroundings, very quiet. Beautiful location. Central to lots.Loved the shower.
Couch.
The pool was nice! The cockatoos and turkeys were fun to watch and definitely added some charm to our stay.
The master bedroom in the cabin had a strong, unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke, which made it uncomfortable to stay in. The location is also quite challenging – you’re surrounded by a construction site, they are rebuilding the park, and on the other side, there’s a large cemetery.Another downside was the lack of a baby bath in the toilet facilities, which was inconvenient. Even though there were only two cabins occupied during my stay, they didn’t offer us a late check-out, even though our flight wasn’t until 5 PM. Considering how many things didn’t live up to expectations, I was disappointed by this lack of flexibility.
Fantastic place to stay when visiting Sydney! Located in a National park, so fully surrounded by nature, while being close to the city. We had a standard cabin which was great and suited all our needs. Very nice staff aswell and clean facilities. Would def stay there again!
