Hotel La Tortuga

Grear location, clean and safe.5 min walk from beach and restaurants.Breakfest was good, we alao had obe dinner at the hotel which qas good as well

The pool, the beds, and the AC.

When you park it’s all dirt roads. The bathroom door locked my sister in and staff had to come to break it because they couldn’t get it open. Breakfast was lacking options and you can only order one meal.

If you don’t mind a little walk this the place to stay, especially for couples the facility is eco-holistic facility ( no tv in the rooms, no laud music, no children around.

May more variety in the bar.

We were reluctant, as soon as you walk in you are greeting with . Easy check in, welcome drink was really nice. Very calm, everything so clean, when you walk in your room, you smell the cleanliness. A great eating area. Its own bar/restaurant. Food is great and very reasonably priced. I really can’t emphasize more an amazing place.

I am a very picky person, and I can say there is nothing absolutely nothing I can say here. Amazing setting !!!

The bathroom in the room is not as modern and well maintained as the price would suggest.

The common areas, the pool, the tropical garden, we could not have made a better choice than La Tortuga.The fact that the hotel is not on the main road/sea front makes it a much quieter place.The staff was amazing.We originally booked for 3 nights but then extended our stay for another 4 nights.The rooms were spacious.The location was great. There was a gym nearby. And there was yoga twice a week.The staff also accommodated any extra wishes.

The breakfast could have been a little more generous.

- very small and limited breakfast- room was a bit uncomfortable because of the furnitures made of stone.. bathroom had problem with the doors, no shower gel/shampoo..- overall the hotel was nice but a bit overpriced

A tv would be niceTo just have in evening If you are traveling solo And feel unsafe walking through back alley ways to get to beach and town. I recognize my problem not speaking the language .. but zero English here.. photos not true to place.. saw no yoga .. shower horrible.. and food really bad .. they did not carry my suitcase in room or upon exiting to driver.. zero service .. tons of mosquitoes and they had no bug spray for guests .. could not ask for anything or communicate and they were not happy in helping or trying

Everything. Peaceful place close to the main street and beaches. Staff very kind and helpful.

Nice and spacious rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful tropical garden with a nice pool. Good location. 10-20 minutes walk to the “clean” beach areas. 10 minutes walk to the center where you find shops, restaurants, party locations.

Too small breakfast for a normal eating men. When you ask for more they charge extra. I don’t thing this appropriate for a hotel in this price category. Others offer a buffet where you don’t have this issue.

Beautiful place to stay. Wonderful tropical garden en pool, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if we visit Las Terrenas again.

Nice hotel with rooms in beautiful garden arranged in twins. The rooms are created in cement style; cement bed, table, shower etc. The linen is very clean. Breakfast great!

Many mosquitos, the bathrooms lacks comfort. The cement style is creative but gives an unclean feeling.

I am always looking for places where I can bring my dog with me and La Tortuga and it's staff were so great and accomodating in this aspect. The entire property was adorable and the rooms were also very comfortable. Breakfast was super yummy and I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

The property is very charming. It is a short walk to the beach, located in a quiet area. Upon arrival Jennifer checked us in and gave us cherry limade (delicious), she showed us to our beautiful room with an outside sitting area that has curtains so it is private. The room is two floors (bed on each floor upstairs bed looked bigger). Everything is painted concrete (which is very cool) (counters/shower). The bed was very comfortable and the shower water was hot. In the morning breakfast is served from 8-10 (coffee/tea/orange juice) pancakes/bread (butter and jam)/ eggs/ omelettes/ fresh fruit- it was perfect! They have a yoga area. The pool was clean and we witnessed the property being maintained- leaves were being picked up/pool skimmed. I am very picky and I have nothing negative to say about this property. I will definitely stay again

Beautiful spacious villas with comfortable beds set around a beautiful pool (exactly like the photo), it is a very private space. Staff were so kind and helpful. Great breakfast every morning of fresh fruit, bread and eggs cooked to order. Great location just a 5 minute walk to the beach and loads of wonderful restaurants.

Nothing! But just a tip for other travellers - bring some earplugs as the crickets are loud at night!
