Spirit Holbox

Quiet out of the way location for privacy.

Limited access to restaurants and retailers. Our room was on the ground floor and had flooded before our stay so we had multiple problems and a room change. The staff was accommodating to our problems and continued to work with us .

Totally recomend Spirit Holbox. Our room was very spacious with a unique layout, clean (I loved the shamppoo and conditioner). The staff is really friendly. The food at the rooftop delicious specially the tacos de Birria. The breakfast was wonderful with fruit, granola, yogurt, bread, coffee and juice and eggs to request. The only con is that is a little far away from downtown - about 15 minutes walk but closer to punta cocos.

The hotel is very boutique and gives a Greece meets Mexico vibe. The facilities were well maintained and the room very clean. The room was also super spacious for a family of 4 (they upgraded us to the partial oceanfront room with two queen beds). It was amazing! Each room having a balcony was also an added bonus. Rooftop pools are great for kids, including our 2year old. He could stand in all of them. It was very quiet when we visited (Tuesday) but was just exactly what we needed. Beach was fantastic and clean. Super soft sand. Fragata lunch experience was great with very good portions. Whole experience of the hotel and island were just simply 10/10+ would stay here again. We were only here for one night but definitely felt like we could do a weekend getaway here next time.

Drinks are overpriced and not even strong. Mostly watered down. Internet was super slow, we didn’t get to do the work we intended on so just let go and relaxed.

Location of hotel is away from downtown. There is a beach club right next to it called Fragata. The breakfast is really good, like really good. They had fresh juice everyday. The roof top pool had amazing view. I only went up twice. I twisted my ankle right before getting to the island. The staff was very helpful and called the doctor for me.

That the housekeeper stolen a pair of shorts and earrings. I sent the hotel an email but never received a response.

The Place Was Very Clean It's On The Side of Punta Cocos.. This Is The Second Time We Had Stayed here and I believe its More Tranquil,not Too Many People... The Sunsets Views Are Extraordinary...

The Last Time We Went, Their Restaurant Was Open.. It Wasn't This Time But They Did Direct Us To The Next Door Hotel Which Had A Beach Club And So but I Just Loved Their Rooftop and Restaurant There...

We booked this hotel room from December 18 to December 21, but we could stay only one night because the room condition was very poor.The room was smelly, not clean, and full of mosquitoes, which made it very uncomfortable to stay. Because of this, we had no choice but to leave after one day, even though we had already paid for the full stay, and unfortunately lost that money.We then booked a walk-in room nearby at DK Hotel (Presidency Room). It was less expensive and absolutely outstanding—very clean, fresh, comfortable, and well maintained. The difference in quality was huge.Very disappointing experience. I hope the management improves cleanliness and room conditions for future guests.

The bed and linens were great! Loved the ocean view and sounds.

We didnt get towels and wash clothes. Mosquitos were bad IN the room at night.Beach was not good in this area. Pools were ice cold. Never saw a single person in them.Our main ceiling fan did not work.Confusion on the breakfast. I thought it was included. For some it was, and others it wasn't. No hot water 3 out of 4 showers.

Hotel is beautiful

Location is a little far from the center but perfect if you like it quiet

Cleaning,I found some bugs in the room, they use the same blankets for more than 2 days.

Whilst out of the center of Holbox the hotel is located close to decent restaurants and the position is quiet with good access to the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and clean.

Location was awesome! Right by the ocean and on the quiet side. The breakfast was included and was just a 2 minute stroll up the beach ...it was the best and served ocean side!!!

The roads! We rented a golf cart for 4 hours and lots of roads were blocked off with huge holes and rocks that we couldn't get thru main roads. But still was great to drive around and see the whole island!

I honestly didn't enjoy my stay at Spirit Holbox

Only the last day of my stay I had hot water in the shower. Also the color green of the bedroom together with the lighting instead of making you comfortable and welcome they make you sad, feels like everything it's old, it gives you a depressing vibe inside the room. I think for the price I paid I could have stayed in a much better hotel.

We booked Spirit for my birthday trip and I am really happy with our choice! It’s relatively close to the action but further away enough to enjoy peace and tranquility. The rooms are spacious and gorgeous - we loved the swinging bed! Our room was right below the rooftop pool and we’d hear the sound of the water which was like a spa experience for me.A taxi to the center is like $10-$15 depending on the destination. The staff is sweet and friendly, making sure you’d have everything you need. One night we forgot some gifts we bought in the taxi and the front desk employee was able to retrieve them in the morning for us - everyone is really amazing and treating their clients like kings. If you’re a girl and you come for the first time in Holbox - please don’t bring a million pairs of heels because you won’t be able to wear them - no street paving whatsoever - but I feel like this is the charm of Holbox. We fell in love with the island and its amazing people and we surely will be back - and once we do - we’ll stay in Spirit again. Muchísimas gracias para todo, amigos! Hasta la próxima vez!

Food was good. Staff was friendly.

Pool was too shallow. Our room was directly below the pool and pump and was extremely too loud.

Everything was perfect, staff was amazing and friendly. Love the concept of the building, bed was comfortable the lactation next to the beach was a plus. First time staying here and will definitely will be back. Food was delicious.

The place was really nice. It was a bit further out of town so quieter. But close to other facilities though - restaurants and bars. Staff were super friendly and attentive

It was hard to get to when it had rained and the roads were flooded.

The property is beautiful. Rooms are spacious and clean. The rooftop bar is great for sunsets. It can be a far walk from downtown if the streets are flooded.
