Casa Iguana Holbox - Beachfront Hotel

Great location, similar to the adjacent hotels, just across the beach path/road to an amazing beach. Staff was hard working and helpful.

It would be nice if the beach area had better service, similar to adjacent hotels, however, this was very easy to deal with.

It is one of the best hotels in Holbox. We stayed in 4 on the Island and this was by far our most comfortable room. We loved the view, the hammocks, the style of the room and that it was clean, comfortable and stylish. It was one of the nicest rooms.

Excellent, clean and well kept hotel in a perfect location, not too far from all the necessities but not so close as to be annoyingly noisy. Very peacefull at night if that is important to you. EXCELLENT and very freindly stafff. Great little convenience store just down the beach with a great selection.

Beautiful, simple, no frills.

Restaurant was always empty, so we never felt the urge to try it.

Location was great!

The bed was very uncomfortable and hard. They didn’t provide enough water in the rooms, front desk was open but not early in the morning or late at night so if you needed something you’re out of luck.

Staff was very friendly and attentive in accommodating our requests, we had the king room with garden/pool view and private balcony, which was really lovely. Clean, comfortable, nice room, small private beach which, at the time of our stay was not too busy, but since they allow people outside of the hotel to use the beach chairs for using the bar/restaurant, might get a little crowded.. Walking distance to the center of town with all the restaurants, etc

it's got two pools, one was very clean but quite cold, and the other had warmer water but...in need of more frequent cleaning..

Rooms are very big but there are no chairs to sit on only the bed, chairs would make it perfect, maybe a sofa or sillón

Although the restaurant (and beach club service) is "not part" of the hotel, they represent the hotel and the service is horrible, you had to go place your order and pick it up, otherwise they would forget it. They had the wait staff chasing people at closing so they could get paid. We asked the waitress SEVERAL times for the bill, and she would not bring it. Also, talking to other guests, several people got severely sick from eating there, including one of our friends.AND YOU ARE PROHIBITED FROM BRINGING YOU OWN DRINKS AND FOOD. THE TALL BALD WAITER WAS VERY RUDE!!!

-We stayed for 10 nights at the beginning of April 2025, we were given a room upgrade due to the length of our stay. -The location of the hotel was almost perfect, basically right on the beach(small sandy road between the hotel and it's beachclub). Lots of restaurants within walking distance. -2 small pools at the hotel so you had a choice if one was busy(neither were busy during our entire stay). -Housekeeping brought a small cooler after our first night to keep our drinks cold.-Good value for money.-Very quiet.-Very clean and well maintained overall(beach club could use some upgrades however).

A couple of minor items. -The room had no fridge, I understand that this is not uncommon in small hotels in locations like this but even a small mini fridge would be great to keep drinks cool. -There is no seating around the pools unless you are in a room that is right beside the pool. If you are in an upstairs room you can't really sit around by the pool.-The condition of the loungers and umbrellas at the beach club was on the older and worn out side of things. We used the hotel beach club 2 days and then moved on to the NANA beach club 2 doors down that had much better seating and more selection of food and drinks. NANA was 600mxn pp consumption vs 500 for the hotel beachclub(maybe no minimum for hotel guests?)-The hotel seems to have Starlink internet but with minimal routers the wifi was poor in our room(but we didn't come to Isla Holbox to be connected, we came to disconnect and unwind so this was really a positive!)

Great location, staff were friendly. It’s a cute hotel and tidy. Beach access is great. Good value for money. The rooms were nice and tidy. The cleaning was good overall however some of the sheets were stained.

Staff was really helpful! Any question we had - the team was always there to help!Also, the room was super clean every day. Basically, you will have have everything you need, even more for the good price. By the way, the balcony is great and the team can bring some food from the restaurant directly in there!

The rooms don’t have the fridge, so be prepared to buy the ice in the nearest shop. I think it’s done on purpose to make people buy the alcohol in the bar.Anyway, it’s not convenient at all.

Very comfortable and clean. Beach access to best beach strip steps away from your room. Close to walk into town for meals. Nice bar, nice pools. Kind staff. All round great experience for our family - highly recommend.

Edwin is the nicest person ever!The room was nice, the bed was good, the AC was great, but the bathroom has 2 problems: The showerhead was not good, and the toilet got clogged several times even for peeingOther than that, the proximity to the hotels beach club was awesome! In my opinion,, it's the best location on the island as it's not too far from the center but also not in the center where there's too many people and the beach imo is less nice than Iguanas beach area.We would definitely come here again

Love this place! It’s our fourth stay.The restaurant has reopened (it was closed during our stay last year) and they have added a little bar. They have made great improvements to the beach area since our last stay. The location and staff can’t be beat. Until next year!

Right on the beach. AMAZING staff, who gave us a free upgrade to a room just feet from the beach. Very clean, spacious rooms. The hammock in the room, facing the beach is a lovely touch.When I return to Holbox, I will be staying here again. Everything is fantastic !!!

A TV in the room would have been good, but that's my only fault. It's an AMAZING place.

Loved the location on a beautiful part of the beach away from the center , but still close enough to walk in to town for lunch etc.

Restaurant prices were really high and over priced they added 15% tip on everything! I want to choose the tip myself!
