- Location and pool great breakfast
- It was right on the beach, and the staff was friendly. That's about the only thing good I can say about it.
- The saving grace of this experience was Karena apon check out . She was genuinely caring.
Cons -
- Our room was dirty and run down and featured an uncomfortable bed, a broken shower and a unsecured safe. The water went off entirely several times and we rarely had hot water. We paid top dollar but there were many, much nicer, cheaper hotels nearby.
- The smell for the seaweed on this area of beach. The whole hotel needs an upgrade and maintenance. I’m not sure how they are able to charge the prices they do.
- The bed was probably the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. Rock hard. my partner went to go get towels and then when they were layed out onto the sun bed he realized they were dirty. He brought them back and the lady at reception that day (not laura) told him yeah thats sunscreen... he said okay i would like new towels and she gave him attitude and said thats what happens here. Some people use bad lotion that is hard to get out of the towels. He had to asktwice untilshe agreed to give him more towels. On the first breakfast our "free" continental breakfast was three HALF SLICES of toast. then we had to choose between butter or jam...we were told we could not have both.. we were laughing it was so insane. one little butter pack and one little jam to share between the two of us. My partner told the reception about this and on morning two he gave us each a jam and a butter without asking. servingstaff was not friendly and also at the alma bar except for the cook. he was great.

The location was great. Laura at the reception on our check in day and check out day was the friendliest staff on the whole property. She blew us away and was so inviting and positive. Gave great info and had answers to all our questions.

I appreciated the semi- secluded, peaceful location where you could easily embark on a peaceful morning stroll toward the Punta Mosquito.I had nothing to complain about my room. Good ac, ok bed, small fridge that did its job.
I was satisfied with the modest breakfast that was included in the price. Some fruits, two slices of toast and either butter or jam to go with it. Coffee was drinkable but watery and kind of let down. I tried some egg dishes from the menu to supplement my menu, but they were disappointing and decided to get my food from nearby hotels instead. Same went for the drinks. 200$ for a 3 cl shot of cheap mescal felt like a rip off.My hindsight tip: Improve the tomato sauce recipe and be a bit more generous with the pours so I'd certainly spend more money on the beach bar.
We really liked the big rooms, the beach and the staff. Thank a lot to Karina.
The breakfast was really poor. Only fue fruits and dry bread.
The location, free breakfast that included eggs, pancakes or chilaquiles, and rooftop swimming pool
Need to update towels and circulate rooftop pool water more often.
The location is great, one of the last hotels of that side of the island. You can walk through the sand banks to Punta Mosquito, which is a top destination of many day tours. The room itself was good, with direct sea views. The food in the restaurant is not great, but the rooftop bar is very nice. The staff at the reception were very helpful.
The breakfast is very simple, including just some fruits, a toast with butter or jam, a coffee and a juice.
The staff was fantastic and very accommodating.
The breakfast included in the price was fruit and toast only. Any other breakfast items were reasonably priced.
Hotel is in the first line on the beach. That is super comfortable to access it. Also rooms are spacious and was comfortable for us with two kids. Staff was friendly and put a lot of efforts to solve some issues with hot water. Hotel has two pools, but we actually prefered the sea and beach.
Seems that hotel needs to be reconstructed and renewed. Booking.com marked that it has 4*, but for real - only 3*. Breakfast were really poor: only fruit plate and two peaces of toast. We had to order additinally omletes or something else. Location is nice if you want calm environment, but a bit far away from the city center - 20-25 min to walk. And for our personal opinion, rooftop pool DJ was too loud and the music did not matched to the environment :)
nice staff and good location
the breakfast
The staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous, which really helped make our stay more enjoyable.
Breakfast was supposed to be included, instead there was coffee and a plate of fruit. The room was really in need of renovation, and smelled of mould, and the A/C unit kept us up with a loud noise. Thankfully we only stayed one night so it was bearable, but would not return.
Hotel It is located in a great location.
Dilapidated bathroom. In the bathroom, black spots appear on the walls (mold)
It was in a beautiful location, away from the city centre. The beach is 50m from the accommodation making it easy to go back and forth. Staff were helpful and friendly, ready to help with anything
Breakfast was bread and a few fruit. Coffee was subpar but drinkable
Very friendly staff and very clean. The raccoons that appear in the night are so funny
The included breakfast is just a few pieces of fruit and coffee, so we had to order extra items each day because it was too small. We saw that with basically everybody. Holbox in general is super overpriced.
Good location
Room key was a struggle to unlock/lock, holes in shower let cockroach in, no remote for air conditioner in room - had to go search for it at 12a
Bad
So far our worst experiece in Mexico. We spent a night at Hotel Villas Tiburon out of the 4 nights we planned to stay. We had to leave earlier as our room was not what was promised on booking.com's website. We had two rooms during our time there. We were offered a second room as in the first one the TV didn't work. Both rooms were damp and musty. We found mold at some places. The roof was leaking and the rain water was dripping down on the wooden beam of the ceiling. The airconditioner worked only partially. The closing lid was broken and couldn't open. The mosquito net was missing, so we weren't even able to open windows without letting hundreds of mosquitos into our room. The bathroom also didn't feel clean. The cabin and the equipment looked really worn. There was mold on the bottom of the sink. The front door had a huge blurred glass sheet in it, letting all the lights from the corridor into the room, even in the middle of the night. The walls were paper thin, so we could hear every step and motion from outside, not to mention conversations. The bed sheets had stains on them and after asking for a replacement the new sheets still had stains on them. The staff's explanation for this: it's the sunscreen from other people's skin. I don't know if I should feel any better hearing this... We tried to complain at the reception, but we were told humidity is high on the island, so it's natural that rooms are damp. We booked another hotel on the island via booking.com and that one doesn't have any of the issues mentioned above. It was also much cheaper than Hotel Villas Tiburón.
The hotel is right on the beach! It’s a very nice location - a 15-20 minutes walk to the centre. The staff are all very nice. There is a light continental breakfast included (bread, jam and fruits). The view from the rooftop bar is really nice. Our room was nice and spacious.
The beds were not that comfortable.
Good location.
•The room was quite small, with areas where it was impossible to stand due to the low ceiling, which was sloped like an attic.•The Wi-Fi did not work during the entire stay, forcing us to use the Wi-Fi from the neighboring hotel.•The hotel’s restaurant was very messy, with staff cleaning the floor during its opening hours.•The breakfast was practically non-existent, consisting of literally one slice of bread, butter, and a few small pieces of fruit.•Mediocre maintenance.
Location. Great fish tacos.
Bathrooms a bit run-down (style/function), rooms were sparse.
