    Pros +

    • La maravillosa vista que tiene del roof top, y los empleados de la cocina cada día en el desayuno fue un trato extraordinario de todo el Personal
    • Well maintained. Beautiful landscaping and pool. It¿s a walk from the centre. We liked the quiet of the area end enjoyed our daily walks into town
    • This was our third time staying at Ensueno. We love the laid back atmosphere, the superb staff led by Emilio and great amenities, including free rooftop yoga sessions with Fran multiple times a week.

    Cons -

    • La pscina del roof to cerraba temprano
    • Nothing we did not like - however something to keep in mind for some guests: we barely had any internet in our room, so definitely not a place for remote work or movie streaming. But since in general there's no t much service in the island as far as we experienced i'd say it is the perfect time and place to disconnect ?
    • Not a beach club by any means. Their "private beach" is distant, stinks badly and dirty. Impossible to sit there even. Location is far from everything. Too expensive for what it is.

We LOVED our time there! Staff is so kind, helpful and smiling - right away this makes you smile! The setting is perfect, beautiful architecture with authentic feel, surrounded by vegetation. Perfect relaxing vibe. The beach club is right down the small "block" (200m?) and so peaceful with everything you need there: good food, drinks, service, lounge beds... I liked the rooms, felt like you have your own little cabin and it is useful to have a kitchen and fridge. The kids loved that hotel, we could let them play in the pool, ping pong, swings on the roof top terrasses. The front desk would even lend them beach toys to use when at the beach club. Also provided towels for us to use there. Breakfast was delicious with delightful service. You have everything you need there! Then it's a nice little walk to go to the town center and beach there. Or you can rent bikes from the hotel for the day, and it's a beautiful ride on the island. So perfect!

Clean, big room, nice looking property

Not a beach club by any means. Their "private beach" is distant, stinks badly and dirty. Impossible to sit there even. Location is far from everything. Too expensive for what it is.

super hotel, everything the hotel is accountable for is met our expectations or even outperfomed these. The 2 pools are super, with clean beds next to these pools, towels available, nice rooms, loved the architecture of the buildings, looked like tree houses. 1 of the pools was a rooftop pool. 100 mtr from the beach with a beachclub (free welcome drink). Hotel helped us with a tour and the taxi, so all good. The island is a must-visit.

minor detail might be weak wifi

The location was great to us, far from the center, very quiet and chill vibes. No TV no music at all, so good for just relaxation (if you want something else, look somewhere else). All the staff was kind and warm, Hanna helped us a lot in the front desk and we had great conversations with her, thank you!The beach club is AMAZING!! Great food and cocktails, reasonable prices, great service. We god great room a lot of privacy. Can not recommend enough.

During our stay there were constructions next to the beach club, it happens all around the island and not the hotel fault or responsibility, the constructions shut down by the government so we had 2 days on the beach, there are other beaches around so don't worry about that, just be aware it can happen.

Kitchen was quite hard to use. (To boil water)

The hotel is simply stunning – it truly took our breath away. It has a beautiful, exotic beach vibe that immediately puts you in vacation mode. The staff were exceptionally friendly, with special thanks to Hanna at the reception. She was incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more memorable. The rest of the team was also fantastic, always making us feel welcome and special. The hotel has two pools, both set in gorgeous surroundings, and the views from the terraces are absolutely spectacular. Our room was beautiful and spotless, cleaned daily, and the small kitchenette was a great bonus for our stay. The location of the hotel is excellent – peaceful yet conveniently close to the town center and the harbor. The staff were always happy to help arrange transportation or book local activities. Additionally, the beach club is just a few steps away, which made it very easy to enjoy the seaside.

While the breakfast was always fresh and delicious, the selection remained the same every day (pancakes, fruit, yogurt, and toast). For shorter stays, this is fine, but for longer visits, it can feel repetitive. The hotel would also benefit from having a bar or at least a small selection of snacks and drinks available at the reception, like beer, coffee, or light refreshments. We stayed during a windy period, which brought some challenges. Our room had a wall made of wood with small gaps, and the windows had similar gaps, so there was a constant draft. This made the room a bit chilly during the cooler evenings. Additionally, the wind caused the windows and doors to bang frequently, which was somewhat disruptive. However, I believe this wouldn’t be an issue in calm or sunny weather.

Friendly staff - Host/owner, receptionists and breakfast lady always welcoming and super helpful with any requests we had. Room - spacious and very clean.Location - close to the beach and a 20 min walk into the centre, which although slightly long, made for a nice walk along the beach in the evenings. Breakfast - 3 simple options but really enjoyable and you can get all 3 if you’re hungry! Free drinking water - a small addition but one we really appreciated! Pool area - decent size main pool and a rooftop pool option.

Room - we were in room 10, which was underneath one of the communal rooftops. As there were plenty of communal spaces, this wasn’t used often but the sounds of the chairs moving in the wind/by people could be heard quite loudly in our room. A simple fix for this could be to place rubber covers on the chair/table legs.

Very good located, Included beachclub, nice restaurants around the corner, a bit away fromthe crowds but still close so one can choose what to do. Very clean apartments, pool and rooftop terrace incl. pool

It’s a bit basic but totally fitting into the easy going lifestyle of Holbox

    ROOMS CLEAN AND FRIENDLY STAFF

The quiet location away from the village but close to the beach. Loved the hotel‘s beach club! All the staff was super-friendly, we could also book a whale shark tour through them. The hotel is so cute and exotic, just loved the style. A lot of people wrote that they found the rooms too dark - I disagree. Our apartment #6 with king bed and kitchen had a lot of windows and lamps. And the walk to the village along the beach is easily done in 15-20 minutes, even in the dark. Would defenitely stay here again!

Our kitchen didn’t have a fridge or a coffee machine - the only gadgets we‘d have really liked. And the wifi is not very stable.

This is a beautiful property, with a fabulous pool and outside area. We had a family room which was spacious with a good en-suite and powerful shower. We also had seating and a hammock on the verandah outside our room but we didn’t tend to use them as this sheltered spot seemed to be where the mossies gathered. There were other places to relax in the hotel grounds so this didn’t bother us. The children enjoyed seeing the turtles and iguanas. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, coffee, juice, pancakes, toast and fresh fruit, granola and yoghurt, all served in a delightful area of the garden by very friendly staff. The beach club was great, very relaxed vibe with loungers, and seating areas both in and out of shade and the beach and sea was very clean. An easy walk along the beach to town - 20 mins approx. This was our favourite spot on our Mexican road trip, a little piece of heaven.

A little more storage for clothes would have been great but the room was so big it didn’t really bother us.

Super friendly staff, very helpful even outside of hotel related questions. Pool is incredible and go check out their turtles ? !The breakfast is tasty, you can choose multiple options and they serve it super efficient and fast, with a smile :)Right outside the hotel is a little store with basic needs, a super nice pizzeria and a taqueria with delicious Mexican cuisine!

Good sized room, good proximity to the beach and the use of 2 pools

Far from town. When we visited all roads were flooded for the duration of our stay meaning a 20 min brisk walk along the beech in total darkness at night, or a taxi ride back. Taxis charges 300pesos to get back at night and a lot of drivers refuse due to the distance and level of flooding.Beach club associated with the hotel is closed on Mondays, and closed shortly after sunset other days.Towels were supposed to be provided for the beach but this only happened on 1/2 days there. Beware the hotel also seemed to be a haven’t for mosquitos, more so than other parts of the island we visited

The place was beautiful. 2 pools. Great sharing spaces. Extremely nice workers.
