- Unfortunately November is the time of the sargasso (seaweed) on the beaches in Holbox, so that was slightly disappointing. However, the sea is lovely, calm, and so shallow. Except for the storm which came in the day before our departure! Then real waves!
- The hotel is built beside a small pond, which after it rains, is a mosquito habitat. The whole island becomes pretty infested after it rains, but we were glad we packed repellent. Also, there is no drink/food service...it's all BYO. :-/
