    Pros +

    • The location was a bit far from downtown but we still enjoy the walk by the beach.
    • Location was great! Near the beach but also far enough from downtown area that it was quiet and peaceful. Staff was also great, very friendly!
    • The hostesses were super nice and welcoming. We especially had interaction with Kassandra and Daizy. The space was well located in a quiet area and still pretty close to town and very close to the beach. The room we had was spacious with a kitchen and nice terrace, a comfortable bed and sheets with extra pillows and blankets. Many light options and ac.

    Cons -

    • No breakfast.
    • They only served breakfast
    • There was construction at the hotel as we stayed. It was low season, but still, I find it not appropriate. They compensated us for two nights and did offer us to move to another hotel, but we preferred to stay for the location and comfort. I would expect them to close when renovating. Also the room we stayed in was near their service room of the cleaning staff so we were woken up in the morning by walkie talkies and doors opening and closing, I think its just bad luck of this specific room. I appreciate them trying to make us comfortable even in these circumstances.

Great hotel with amazing staff! We’re super nice and eager to help recommend anything or help solve any issue

A bit far from the center - great for couples but a bit difficult to get around (15-20 min walk from center).

I liked the value of the hotel for the amount of stays. This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. There has been some improvements as they now do offer a restaurant service.

Comparing to our first stay two years ago, this time around we didn't have full access to the kitchen. The cabinets were locked and there were no pans available. There was no paper towels. The toilet paper was limited as they only left one roll at a time. This time we were on the 3rd floor which is technically the 4th and there is no elevator. If you are not in good physical condition, it can be a bit much.

    9BrookePosted on: 3-13-2025

Very clean, modern, loved the rooftop and bar.

Only negative was no elevator and we could never get our TV to work.

The staff are lovely, the location is excellent. The rooms are comfortable

    The pool and the view

Doesn’t have a hair dryer, food service and breakfast included were limited to 1 option

The continental breakfast provided was sufficient (1/2 bagel with delicious jam, small portion of yogurt with granola and fresh fruit cup). The staff was so friendly (housekeeping, front desk, wait staff, bartender). The location was away from all the noise of the downtown area.

The kitchen was great but no coffee pot or coffee and no hand soap or towels for the kitchen. The bathroom was missing Lotion and Kleenex. The last night we had no running water and no one to contact (the front desk guy is only available from 7:00 am - 10:00 pm. so no washing up or shower for our trip home at 7:30 am.

Breakfast was good - on the ground floor (literally on the sandy ground). While the food was good the service was slow and due to heavy rains there were lots of flys everywhere. Also, the breakfast that is included with your room rate is rather small (half a bagel, some juice, and a very small yogurt) - you will need to order off the menu for something like eggs, etc.Views of the sunset from the rooms are great as is the bar/mini pool on the top of the building. Very nice place to stay. Also - when you arrive at the port on the mainland - one recommendation is to hire a small white boat rather than take the large ferry.... This way you can have the small white boat take you directly to the hotel - rather than have the ferry drop you in town and then need to take a taxi from there to the hotel.... The roads on the island are ridiculous, especially after it rains - so this makes the trip easier and more fun too!

Service at breakfast could be faster.

The apartment is big and tastefully decorated, although the bulk bed is absolutely unsafe; the cleaning staff goes to a great length to ensure that everything is spotless clean.

We stayed one week. What has left us dissatisfied might not seem that much of a problem, but it is in relation to the price point of the Hotel, especially considering the average cost of the competitors and the general athmosphere of Holbox island itself. When we arrived, the rain has rendered most of the streets completely flooded, so be prepared, in case! As for the hotel, the staff is unfriendly and acts with an unwelcoming attitude in general both at the reception and the the restaurants. The mantainence is non-existent. Safe was not working in both rooms, and no one came to fix the problem even if we requested it; the same goes for the TV. The transfer service we arranged through the hotel is priced ten times what it costs outside. We understand a surcharge, but this is frankly too much. The drinking water in the room is provided by a manual pump system that is painfully inefficient. The breakfast is honestly an insult. We were served the same food for an entire week: a bowl of fruit, mostly apple and pear, half a donut with butter, a single (!!!) spoon of yogurt and cereal. I wonder what happens if someone is lactose intolerant. Any other option available is not included, and there's no chance for proper coffee. The hotel is not on the beach and it does not rely on a beach club nearby. For us it did not make a difference, as we could not stay in the nearby beach in any case, because of the Sargasso. This is the hotel's fault, but in such a predicament it would be wise to offer some kind of compensation, for instance, a pool that one can actually use (the temperature of the water was so freezing that it was impossible to even think of putting a foot in it). Choice of nearby restaurants and services is very limited. Even if this means that you are in a very quiet area, in case you need a quick bite don't count on the pool restaurant, which operates on very limited hours and does not offer any food that might appeal to a child.

Located a bit far from the center which we like. The room we had was so pretty and nice and comfortable. The beds are great, everything is was super clean and they tidied the place every day and provided fresh towels. The internet was good, which I didnt expect in Isla Holbox. The rooftop bar and pool was amazing hangout place!

Breakfast was quite simple but it seems the same everywhere in Mexico. In our bedroom, there’s a ling size “bunk bed” as seen in the pictures. We were slightly bothered by the ladder as it was always blocking the way. All in all it was a really great place!

Very nice hotel and great place. Beautiful roof top. Nice staff.

The breakfast was a bit basic.

    8GrahamPosted on: 12-18-2024

It’s in a great spot. Close to town but not in the busy spot, near the beach. Perfect spot for us

    8JordiPosted on: 11-20-2024

The rooftop with the pool, staff was very nice and friendly, the location of the hotel in the island.

Service was a bit slow repairing and fixing room issues, the breakfast included was poor.

    9DanielaPosted on: 10-24-2024

The hotel is really nice and confortable, the location is perfect if you want to be close to the beach. The staff is friendly and helpful. Fernanda always provided information and guidance about locations and restaurants. To avoid flooded streets, you can walk along the coastline by the beach. This could get you anywhere. This is a great place to stay will recommend 100%

The rooftop bar area was closed during our stay, however, Fernanda provided accommodations for us.Breakfast is fruit, yogurt, bread, and coffee, nothing wrong with this, but you might need something else later.

    Pleasant

The room was located near what seemed to be a staff room so it was noisy throughout the day and night. The breakfast was poor - some watermelon and melon and toast. No eggs and service was slow.

    5OlverPosted on: 8-13-2024

Good location, nice and close to the beach. The rooms were clean.

Very uncomfortable beds and sheets. Included breakfast menu is very limited.

    10JacekPosted on: 8-12-2024

The hotel is really comfortable and clean. Our room was perfectly prepared for our arrival. They even remembered to cool it down :) The stuff was amazing: every day ladies in the lobby greeted us with a smile and a little chat, so after couple of days we felt like home. Our room was being perfectly cleaned every day. The hotel has a nice pool on the roof, with hammocks and nice chairs. And the place is just 100 meters from the ocean, and in 2-3-minutes walking distance from a beach. We had a great staying!

    9CandicePosted on: 8-5-2024

Loved that the rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. It was close to the beach and I loved the rooftop pool and hammocks! It was a peaceful place and we enjoyed our room a lot!

Things weren’t fully up yet (such as the rooftop bar) and there were so many mosquitoes downstairs (but then again, they’re everywhere!)
