Tembo Barcelona Hotel

I had a genuinely pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were attentive and professional, and even when I didn’t fully understand a clause in the contract, the manager took the time to explain everything clearly and with remarkable patience. It made the check‑in process feel smooth and reassuring.The rooms were simply excellent—clean, comfortable, and far above what I expected. Overall, it was a great experience, and I left with a very positive impression of both the hotel and its team.

We were upgraded without charges to an appartment. The view was great, appartment was very nice, clean and well equipped.

This was my second stay here and I loved my suite…so comfortable. The staff are courteous and efficient. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

I would rate this hotel a ten/excellent if it weren’t for the Tapas restaurant which had a limited menu and so so food.

The hotel is modern and the Rooms are big with a modern design.

The room was freezing with no way to adjust the air conditioning. I asked reception if they could do something about it and I was told the system was in general mode and individual rooms could not be changed…? What ??? We were the 15th floor and I guess a bit to high up for hot was in the shower.

A nice hotel located in a quiet neighborhood. The underground station, a huge shopping center, and many dining places were a few walks away from the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were surprised by a free upgrade to a suite, which made our stay even better. Breakfast was very good, but you had to pick a good time to go as at certain times most of the would run out. At around 7:40-8:00 was the best time to visit. The hotel and the room were clean. The most notable things were the views from the balcony of the room, and the outdoor pool on the roof. While the pool was very small and was often packed, seeing how it's included in the accommodation, it's hard to complain about.

1. Sometimes the communication between the front desk and the cleaning staff confused us. One time we asked for a blanket change, and it got taken away without a spare brought to us. When we asked again for a blanket, we got bedsheets. None of the cleaning staff we interacted with knew English, but we managed to explain what we wanted in the end. 2. You are given only one dishwashing tablet, which you supposedly should use when you put the dishes into the dishwasher once you check out. If you eat anything particularly greasy, water alone won't clean the dish in the dishwasher. 3. You are not allowed to hang towels or anything for the matter on the balcony's railing, yet there's no rack to use for drying any wet clothes or towels. 4. Odd system with the sunbeds by the pool. There were only 6 big sunbeds you could lie on while all the others were beach chairs. Those sunbeds were almost always occupied. The most annoying aspect was people leaving their things and going somewhere, leaving the sunbed occupied for hours. Later during our stay, the staff added small "keychains" to them asking not to leave things, but it hardly had any effect. I think a rule should be employed that the staff are allowed to remove things abandoned on these sunbeds and put them in lost and found.

Breakfast was sufficient, fresh fruits, fresh juice, nice selection of bread and cheese. Healthy choices.

This is a fairly new hotel, but unfortunately the design choices are not guest-friendly. The bathrooms have narrow, uncomfortable bathtubs instead of modern walk-in showers, which most travelers now expect. The surrounding neighborhood is currently undergoing gentrification and does not feel safe; I would strongly caution against walking around at night.Booking.com lists this property as a 10-minute walk to the beach, which is misleading — it’s not the main beach visitors actually go to. Even more concerning, guests who book through Booking.com appear to be given lower-quality rooms. At check-in, the front desk staff specifically noted that our reservation was made via Booking.com, and the room assignment reflected that. By the way that rooftop pool in the picture is a pond, ,approximately 15X6 feet do not expect rooftop at Sands in Singapore.

Great hotel (very new, clean, and well maintained). Buffet breakfast was very good and consistent. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We really had no issues whatsoever and would recommend to anyone. Seemed to be a bit more setup for families and longer stays, but it suited our one week in Barcelona perfectly. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool quite a bit (which had an excellent view of the city to the NW)!

My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The location is unique, combining the tranquility of nature with easy access to nearby services. The roof pool and restaurant were so relaxing. The facilities at the hotel like luggage storage and the changing room at the ground floor were very convenient on the last day while we had checked out our room. The hotel was comparatively close to the beach, a mall and metro station.

While all of the personnel were very helpful and considerate, I felt that some of them could have been more cheery and enthusiastic while dealing with their guests.

The location was great!! We were here for our Honeymoon for a few nights. We received a nice welcome note and complimentary drink voucher to celebrate our honeymoon. We felt so special! Amazing breakfast. The staff greeted us in the morning of our arrival date and we were served breakfast and freshly made speciality coffee. Everything was amazing. Highly recommend.

Great hotel: room, services, staff. Had a great time there!!!

Location is the only weak point, although public transport is very easily available, making distance not a big issue.

The architecture of the building was cool, the pool overlooking the entire Barcelona area was fantastic, the balcony was great, and there were fantastic views of the city, Mediterranean, and the mountains. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset seen from my balcony. I could walk to the beach, the metro, catch a bus or a hop on hop off sightseeing tour bus, all very close walk. The breakfast was by far one of the BEST I have ever seen. The staff were attentive, very helpful, informative, and fun. The room, shower, kitchen, everything was 1st class, new, sleek and comfortable bed, etc.. The restaurant/bar upstairs overlooked the city, Mediterranean, mountains and had really good food. I would recommend this place to anyone. I will be back. It is a bit out of the busy tourist area, so if you like that, it's perfect! On the opposite side of the city from the airport, but the metro took you right there.

The price for a 4 stars hotel.

The location is terrible, close to the a dangerous neighborhood.
