Hotel Abaca

Pros +

• Excellent location if you are visiting Charlie Chaplin musee, although you really need to drive there as the walk would not be ideal. Public transport is excellent, with a bus stop just outside the hotel, taking you to Vevey and Montreux. Special shout out to the reception staff, he was very friendly and helpful, giving us some much local information and details of the free public transport
• The hotel and room was a bit outdated but the staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly and the room was (while small) was very clean. There was also a bus stop right outside that took you to the train station and lakeside which was awesome. For the price, I would definitely go back if travelling by myself.

Cons -

• By booking a hotel in Switzerland you qualify for free transport tickets and discounts for museums. Booking.com should have sent details of this in advance, but they did not
• The elevator was a bit of a shock I just have to admit, felt like I went back in time with how old it is. The shower and toilet was a bit small, Im not obese by any means but bigger people might find it a bit more difficult.
