    • Hotel staffs are excellent. The food is outstanding. All facilities are well maintained.
    • I stayed at Halekulani Okinawa with my family (4 of us), and the hospitality truly went the extra mile—from the very beginning until our departure. Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating, always attentive to our questions and needs. The view is even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures. The room was extremely comfortable, and we loved the thoughtful personalization during every turndown service—each night came with a small memory token, which felt very personal and meaningful.A very special thank you to Ms. Kameyama from the concierge team, who kindly assisted us with our airport transfer. Despite a mistake on our end, she helped resolve everything smoothly and even arranged a more suitable taxi for our family. She bid us farewell with origami and prepared bottled water upon pickup—small gestures that meant a lot to us.Thank you for the beautiful memories, Halekulani. It truly is a paradise on earth.
    • Phenomenal breakfast buffet. Incredibly attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful property, breathtaking views.

    Cons -

    • It would be perfect if the hotel were on a nice white sand beach.
    • The restaurants. They force omakase on you at both Shiroux and Aomi. You have no choice. It is expensive and just Ok. Then they push fixed menu at Kingdom and only have me a la carte after I asked 3x. The food just was not that good at any dinner. Note breakfast buffet at Room without a Key restaurant is very good. Pool bar food choices way too limiting as well.
    • As said before. Not foreign friendly. Kids friendly only for locals. The pressure was not needed during holidays. We really didn’t feel welcomed.

We stayed at the propery in Hawaii and were very pleased however the Okinawa property is essentially a family resort and not of the same standard of the Hawaii property, although it has beautiful scenerey and is well managed, the food quality and obverall experience was not consistent with our expectations. If you seek a vacation with young children , rather isolated from the rest of the island, then this propoerty will work well for you and your family.

Beautiful place but Not foreigners friendly. And if you have tattoos (even the smallest one) don’t come. You’re not welcomed. Not for tourists.

The location is superb and the staff is incredibly professional and friendly. The connection to nature at this place is one of its most remarkable features. Breathtaking views and nonpareil hospitality!

An exceptional hotel with outstanding hospitality and excellent service. Coupled with very comfortable rooms and superb facilities this makes the Halekulani Okinawa a truly 5 star hotel and relaxing experience. We enjoyed 7 nights here as a family of four after a busy 2.5 weeks sightseeing across Honshu and were so pleased we picked this hotel to finish an amazing holiday. We were fortunate to have warm sunny weather which always helps. Having spent 10 years working in the travel industry at the start of my career and visiting some of the best hotels and resorts worldwide, I would thoroughly recommend the Halekulani Okinawa.

Hard to say as we had an exceptional experience, The outdoor pools are a little ‘fresh’, they could with some heating, but appreciate we were early in the season. The resort is a little isolated (which will be a positive for many) and I would definitely recommend hiring a car if you want to get out and explore places like the world class aquarium, Naha or the Peace Memorial. On site dining options can be pricey when you are looking at breakfast, lunch and dinner for a family of four, all at the hotel. There are some cheaper, casual dining alternatives within walking distance of the hotel.

    I will not go back.

The door is really heavy . My kid thumb was wounded. Not kids friendly hotel

it's a wonderful experience for me and my parents. We will surely going back to for beach and water activities in summer or spring. Food, service, hardware is true omodenashi. I especially pay tribute to the staff in the hotel!!!

The hotel is beautiful and the multiple pools in the property is really nice. The staff were super friendly and helpful although they didn't speak English. Emi from the concierge was so sweet and helped us a lot!

If you don't have a car you can't really go anywhere outside of the hotel since the buses aren't reliable and the next town is a little far. We were kind of disappointed that renting a kayak or other water activities cost money and were also pretty expensive.

    10ElenePosted on: 12-2-2024

The room was huge. There is a walk in wadrobe, huge bathroom. There is turn down service and valet which cost 2000 yen per night if you are driving. The staff pays attention to details, for example by giving cold bottled drink in the car when we need to use the car. The room size, location and amenities were great. If you want a luxurious resort stay, you can consider Halekulani.

Maybe it was a little far from the main attractions. It would be good to have a clock in the room but we can understand, the resort is for relaxation and looking at the clock and timing would not help.

    The room and location

For us it was rather disappointing. On 1 November apparently 3 out of 4 outside pools close amongst the two adult only pools and the children’s pool. As a result you sit at the pool with screaming children. It is not clearly mentioned that these pools will close on 1 november. Most hotels mention this in the important information section; but at Halekulani the information sits a bit hidden. Also when you do find the information it only mentions the pools are seasonal. I would not expect a seasonal pool to close when the temperature is still around 30 degrees. If seasonal means 1 november it should state 1 november. Also, i would expect if I apparently arrive off season to pay off season prices and not the regular price (which was the case). I think our experience would have been better if the pools were open. However; i have to say for me the experience was not that of a high-end luxury hotel. Although staff is friendly and very willing; not all seem to have enjoyed the proper education for their role / seemed nervous.

Excellent service and very relaxing atmosphere. Staff are highly professional and very tuned in to customized service i.e. attentive but not intrusive. Rooms were extremely spacious and property was well maintained Appreciated the little touches such as a small token during our anniversary stay.

Variety and cuisine during lunch hour is limited especially considering there aren't many good restaurants within walking distance. However, the food at the restaurants within the property, though limited, was delicious.

Service was outstanding. The staff do an amazing job of organising activities external to the hotel. Hotel was beautiful. They have done a good job of having a family/kids side and then the sunset side which is more suited to adults. Very clean hotel, great turn down service, very comfortable bed and pillows. Loved that you get pyjamas, a beach robe and a bath robe. If you book a villa you have access to lots of additional facilities eg free flowing champagne, afternoon tea etc.

breakfast organization, location of the hotel, cleaningness

restaurant not available for guests; more activities in the hôtel, more advice on what to do around the hôtel

The room was huge and very comfortable. The bed was also very big and the view was great! The staff is really nice, I spent a day at the pool and I felt very well taken care of.

It was perfect, I'm super glad that I stayed in there!

We stayed at the coral suite at sunset wing - very spacious, clean and stylish suite with breathtaking view. We woke up to amazing, transparent ocean and clear blue sky each morning and we can directly enjoy the sunset view from our bath or on the lounge chairs on our balcony.Service was wonderful - helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed breakfast a lot - buffet restaurant offers wide selection with good quality. Aomi was also nice with traditional Japanese breakfast. We did not try Shiroux.

The opening time of the pools are quite short. The dinner options were quite over priced and difficult to book.Breakfast queuing system is supposedly convenient and saves you from physically at the restaurants, but in fact it is a bit of a hassle to have to register in the morning and constantly check your phone for queue progress. If you have plans in the morning, the queue is a big problem. I would suggest waking up at least 1 hour before your preferred breakfast time slot to register.

I loved everything but especially the view The Hawaiian singers and dances every night and the 5star service received no matter where you are on the property . Walking into my room the first day was like walking into a little slice of heavenEveryday little thoughtful gifts were left and it felt like they knew exactly what I needed ..

Honestly there was nothing I didn’t enjoy

The Halekulani is perfect in every way! From the moment we arrived until the time we left we were taken care of by the excellent staff. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, the service is top notch and the breakfast buffet in the morning has a wonderful variety and is delicious. We asked for a couple recommendations for dinner off the property and they were spot on, especially the Okinawan dinner! We cannot say enough good things about this special property other than a must stay of you are visiting.

There is nothing negative to say about the property. We did rent a car which was a great way to get around the island and experience the other neighborhoods. I would recommend this if you are able to do so.
