Hai Lodge

The hospitality was top notch. The staff and other guests treat you like family. I would highly recommend Hai Lodge and would gladly stay there again in the future.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk to Tsugaike Gondola station.Every morning there is a shuttle at 7:45 to Norikura/Cortina(need to sign in before 22:00), and also to the resorts in Hakuba Village at a later time.Best lodge for powder chasing.

Plenty of facilities. Beautiful recreation area to chill and meet other people. Toilets and bathrooms were clean and tidy. The shared bedroom had a nice Japanese touch to it and was very comfortable. The breakfast selection was great. Eggs and toast or cereal and juice coffee or tea.

Just a minor inconvenience with the laundry. There is usually a queue as there are two washing machines but only one dryer. An additional dryer could help with this.

The location was perfect! We stayed in winter during the ski season so there were plenty of shuttle services to help everyone get around. the staff were all so lovely !

I honestly booked this place because it was cheap and it turned out to be probably my all time favourite hostel. Such comfy and chill vibes and surprisingly well catered for a little place. The location is perfect too. Right near the main lifts for Tsugaike resort which is imo the best hill in Hakuba Valley. Definitely will be staying here again next time I'm in Hakuba.

I was initially skeptical about staying at Tsugaike seeing how the "main" resorts Happo-one and Hakuba 47 are quite a distance away. However, Hai Lodge was everything that previous reviewers had said. Tsugaike is a wonderful resort with many different terrains that would satisfy most people. The place was very well-maintained and clean. Josh and Victoria were wonderful hosts. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hai Lodge and will definitely stay again next time!

There was a very old guy that stayed in the room and it was super awkward, they could have a max age, this guy was in his late 60s and he was very weird

Very welcoming atmosphere and approachable staff! Had a great time here and would highly recommend. Hai Lodge is a quick 3 minute walk from Tsugaike gondola, and has shuttle to onsen, other ski fields and grocery store

The atmosphere, and welcoming culture of the staff and guest was phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and the lodge was set out nicely with plenty of communal areas; pool and Nintendo

Staff were keen and accommodating. Good balance of family and young adult. Great location, Tsugaike proved to be a favourite across the Valley for boarding.

The complimentary breakfast was simple but nice, there are eggs where u can fry in ur own favourite ways. We fried some eggs to eat with the toast and it was so good. We had some cereal and granola with milk too, we truly enjoyed our breakfast.

The shower upstairs would turn hot and cold while showering which was a nuisance, good thing the downstairs bathroom was functioning perfectly fine so we used the bathroom downstairs.

I've stayed in a lot of different ski accommodation! This one is by far the best! The crew is second to none, such a nice gang of friendly and caring people! The shuttles to the ski resorts and free shuttles to the Onsen made it the perfect place to stay! Breakfast was perfect as well! Immaculate vibes! Will be back!

Amazing hostel! If you are looking for a chill and fun hostel in Hakuba definitely stay here! You get amazing value for your money. The location is Amazing! Is just a couple minutes walk from the slopes and rentals and have a little convenience store in the corner of the street. Also super close to public transport and they offer private shuttles aswell which were super handy.The installations are great! Super cool chill social area with a pool table, driying room for your boots and ski equipment, very nice kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking, very cosy rooms with super confortable beds, clean nice bathrooms and a super convenient laundry. The staff was definitely the highlight of the place. They were super accommodating and helpfull. Every single staff member was super friendly and welcoming.They created a super homey environment. The owner Gavin was great to deal with. Special thanks to AG that went above and beyond to help and also Will, Adam and Andy and for making the stay great!

I can't think of anything I didn't like, I had an amazing experience.

Staff were so welcoming and arranging. Being able to have a free lift before check in was massively helpful. The location at the bottom of the slopes of Tsugaike is perfect too. A really positive and warm atmosphere - I highly recommend staying there!

Incredible place, couldn't recommend it anymore. Right by the lift, staff are amazing, rooms are amazing, and vibe down in the chill area is great. Best spot to stay in Hakuba!

Chill environment, all the people who work there are really friendly, you could practically throw a rock at the gondola, facilities to cook up pretty much anything

with the slopes being so close, naturally it’s a bit of a pain to get to the town for atm, groceries

It's expensive for a bunk bed, but the location is amazing in front of tsugaike.

the place is close to the fields, close to the bus terminal and all the staff are friendly and happy to help
