Hotel Junior Mint Hakuba

They made it with local ingredients (at least that’s what they said) and it’s very tasty- eggs and protein and rice and fruits and they provided coffee tea and juice and cereal

It could be a little less pricey. The room is a bit small for two people but I understand it’s a popular spot and really close to the ski slopes.

Walking distance from the Goryu Resort. Very convenient location.

One of our rooms, the water didn't work. Couldn't take a shower or flush the toilet. Other 2 rooms worked well.

Super cosy stay at Hotel Junior Mint! Michelle was such a warm and accommodating host that it felt more like a homestay than a hotel. Our room was very comfortable and clean (excellent shower pressure, and we slept deeply in the bed!) We enjoyed the hearty breakfast every morning before skiing.

Location was fantastic and staff were welcoming and helpful. good drying room for storing ski gear. Easy access to local restaurants

The guest house was in a great location. Only about a 300 metre walk to the lifts at Goryu, and when it snowed we could ski home to the door. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and always went "above and beyond"

The beds were very hard

Great stay, Michelle was a wonderful host and makes the best eggs! We had a lovely time and would highly recommend. Michelle made restaurant reservations for us and answered the all tourist questions we had. Very helpful and friendly.

Michelle at the desk was extremely helpful; she gave us great tips for getting around the area, and she arranged a ride to the bus stop for us upon checkout. The bed was comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. It is a family-friendly place, and definitely a quieter area than some of the hostel-type accommodations in Echoland. Goryu is walking distance, as are several restaurants and rental places, but it's about 10 minutes walking up a gradual incline on snow / ice. That didn't bother us, but it's worth noting.

Everything was great. This is the case for all old homes and is no fault of Junior Mint, but the walls are thin and sound travels within the building.

Junior Mint had a good location. Only a couple of minutes to the ski resort. They were very welcoming and helped where they could.

It wasn't the most spacious but it was not a deal breaker! I would come again!

We had a wonderful stay. Host Michelle was very helpful and always very friendly. It is a short walk to the lifts at Goryu, so in a very good location. The sister hotel, Hotel Sejour Mint, has a small onsen which is great for tired legs after a day on the mountain. The rooms were small, as in many places in Japan, but clean and modern and had everything we needed. Breakfast was included daily and Michelle was able to source alternative bread for me which was much appreciated. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The location is really close to Goryu Escal plaza, you can go on foot like about 10min? The staffs are really helpful and friendly, the breakfast menu was lovely.They also have a space where you can store your snowboard or ski equipment ??

Not much, but since there is no convenience store nearby maybe you can provide the guest with some water ?

it’s a japanese thing but the bathroom was quite small, would be nice if they had a bit more room to put stuff

Michelle was so accomodating, made our stay stress free. Even picked us up and dropped us back off from the bus stop. My partner ruptured her ACL and Michelle picked up supplies for her, I left some snowboarding gear there and didn’t realise until I returned back to Australia and she shipped it over for me. The facilities were kept very clean, the room was perfect and it was very affordable. Great value for money. You have free access to the onsen, and a very effective drying room.10/10, I will be recommending this place to anyone that will listen

Such a cute and cozy hotel ! Michelle at the front desk was amazing and answered every question I had !! And I don’t know what I would have done without Don picking me up and dropping me off at the bus station… such a legend !! Would recommend anyone to stay here !

The location is perfect, 5-10minutes walk to Goryu Escal Plaza and walking distance to several good restaurants. (Highly recommend KAMUI Japanese restaurant nearby, we had 3 dinners there )Michelle is so helpful and response timely on all the arrangement such as lift ticket, restaurant booking, transportation suggestion and etc. And the hotel provides pick up service from Goryu, Joe saved us in the heavy snow night.Moreover, the room has an independent bathroom, it's quite important for my son who has a little addicted to cleanliness. If you like the Osen bath, you can go to Hotel Sejour, this sister hotel just opposite the Junior Mint.

The room is not sound proof and room size is quite small, but you know, all these old houses in Japan have these problems. Overall is perfect for a holiday stay.

Great location, close to the Hakuba Goryu Botanic Garden. Staff added locally produced blueberry in the breakfast. Will definitely come back again in the winter season.
