DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Izmir Airport

Location distance from the airport.

It was not a 4 star hotel. THe beds were average, and the staff wouldn't not try to communicate or understand English. They acted as if nithothing happened during the 6.1 earthquake. To get ice took an act of God.

The staff were amazing. The location for the airport is perfect. Really nice hotel especially the rooms overlooking the pool.

Great service, beautiful finishings, enjoyed the free cookies!

Limited bathroom counter space, but that is being picky!

The location was close to the airport.

The hotel is very well located given its proximity with the airport. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is very friendly and professional. We noted a considerable increase in the choices provided at the breakfast which is great! A pleasure to be back every year.

The music sound by the pool may disturb those that are willing to sleep.

Food at restaurant and service

Offering shuttle service for early morning flights and after 2 pm. No shuttle service after 2 pm is totally unsatisfactory

Room service was pretty solid

The view was great. Close to the pool, but the water was green in the aesthetic decoration pools. Looked like algae was growing for more than a month at least. Also attracts bugs.

The original room was too hot. They changed the room for me without any complaint and it was great. I ate at the hotel since it was late, The food was excellent and well priced, The staff were excellent and friendly. They gave me a complimentary cappuchino while I was waiting for my excursion which was late. I loved the room

Just be careful to get a air conditioned room. It seems some of them are not in April

Like:1) Location to the airport and to Izmir Marble Exhibition.2) Reception staff were very cooperative. Dislike:Upon arrival, the room was hot, so we turned on the air conditioning to cool it down. There were some unpleasant spots on the walls, the walls were painted black, the room and the bathroom smelled very bad, bathroom got no ventilation, the furniture was old-fashioned, it was a long walk to the room, the bathroom wasn't very clean, the aluminum balcony door didn't close tightly and you could hear the airflow and outside noises like cars and airplanes.The balcony view from the second floor was facing a gas station.

The room was clean and shower worked great.AC’s were set on hot and it could not be turned down - after phoning reception they said it was some regulated thing. Breakfast was OK, not great but they had a big selection. Bonus points because they had Gluten-free bread for me. Not sure about the area but I didn’t feel completely comfortable when we got there.Personnel was professional.

It was modern and spacious

The Front office staff and the restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful for every request.Location is pretty good for a quick layover.Breakfast was impressive with a lot of good options.

The room size felt a lot smaller than 30sq.mThe cleaning done for the room was below standards for a 4 star hotel.There were stains on the carpet and stains on the white sheets.There was a mosquito stain on the wall. And hair found in the bathroom.Moreover the air conditioning was very weak. There was little to no cooling available.

Close to the airport and although their free shuttle bus was out of action, they paid for a taxi as replacement.

Good location for me because my customers were not in town but rather south of Izmir. Hence nearer to the airport. Have a rather good chef for dinner and the breakfast is always super

Room was not equipped properly with all tools ( frige was empty, no a glass and a soap holder in the bathroom, no tools for bath) . Breakfast so and so ...

Really comfortable bed and a good shower. Really nice to get stopover here

No spa.Swimming pool didn’t work.

Great location next to the airport. I thought the staff were incredible and attentive. I also really enjoyed the restaurant.

The vicinity to the airport makes the difference ,

the noise coming from a party not far away was not filtered by the walls and windows, I would suggest to implement noise insulation, at least for the rooms facing the street.The night shift personnel was found sleeping at the early check-out (06:15), he woke up pretty grumpy and refuse to print the invoice even after my specific request.A light breakfast would be very appreciated in case of early check-out due to early flight.
