    Pros +

    • It's character and charm. Loved the full breakfast buffet. Occupants should know there's uneven flooring and stairs to navigate.
    • Location, coziness, friendly staff, and good breakfast.
    • Great location - picturesque. Close to downtown Woodstock and about 45 minutes from Killington if you’re going skiing. Great little bar and restaurant downstairs. Delicious buffet style breakfast included.

    Cons -

    • Not enough seats by the fire!
    • Wish we could've stayed longer!
    • Management has done very little in keeping this property anywhere near it should be kept since it is historic. Clearly they have not kept up this property. The furniture was extremely dirty in the common areas and in the bedroom and the bedroom smelled.

Quaint and cozy. A perfect get away - good restaurant. About a 45 minute drive from Killington so good for after skiing.

    Wish we could've stayed longer!

I loved the location and the grounds. So peaceful and beautiful. Loved walking across the street as well where the old township was. My friend and I thought our meals were extremely tasty and filling.

    Nothing! Everything was amazing.

Buffet was adequate, but it was the same for all 3 days. Loved the common areas for reading and board games.

The shower temperature was barely tepid. At first, we thought it was because we took a late shower our first morning. But it was the same all 3 days. Our room was a little small for the cost, but was adequate. We asked the staff to show us how to turn on the TV: apparently, the TV didn’t in work with the remotes provided! However, they brought a new TV & remotes while we were out of the room. Kudos to your staff; they were all so helpful and pleasant.

Everything was exceptional -- the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the food, the whole atmosphere. The breakfast was wonderful -- the homemade bakery goods (coffee cake! muffins! pancakes with Vermont maple syrup!) were amazing, and the variety -- eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, bread, muesli, etc. -- was extensive. One of the best buffet breakfasts I have had.

I think the dining room was understaffed in the evening -- the barman, Mike, was also seating dinner guests and busing tables; this slowed down bar service. He did his best, though.

The breakfast was very good. We ate dinner there also and enjoyed the food. Liked jazz entertainment in the tavern.

The lighting in the room was poor. Would have liked a blanket or comforter on the bed. Didn’t like using bedspread. The lighting in the bathroom was so poor that you couldn’t see to apply makeup. Also no other mirror in the room. Could have had full length mirror on back of closet door.

A very pretty, very quaint inn. The beds were very comfortable. The jazz in the lounge was pleasant.

The innkeeper did not respond to my email concerning gluten free offerings. My daughter has celiac disease.

We loved staying at a historic inn built in 1793! The room with its flowered wallpaper and high bed was very nice and fit with the historic theme. The included breakfast the next day was delicious with options of choices from a menu ( eggs, bacon, pancakes etc) as well as a selection of serve-yourself breads, toast, cereals, coffee cakes, and fruit. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We were very happy staying at the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm.

    No complaints.

Beautiful little Inn within close proximity to Woodstock and very relaxing atmosphere. We totally loved it. Nice little getaway to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Loved it! The rooms were elegant and the beds were very comfortable.

    Everything was wonderful!

We had a great stay at this historic inn. The portraits of the original owners hung in the lobby, and you can read a little bit about who they were, which was a nice touch. The staff were very welcoming and answered all our questions; they were even able to get us a reservation at the restaurant on the night we checked in! Our room was clean and comfortable; the furnishings were more modern than we expected, but we very much appreciated the USB plug-ins on the bed and the dimming light switches. The breakfast buffet was also excellent--plenty of food and a good variety. I wish we had stayed another night!

Unfortunately, we happened to be there on an extremely cold night, and while the covers were more than enough to keep us warm while we slept, the rest of the room never really warmed up. Just something to be aware of if you're visiting in the colder months.

    Excellent breakfast, nice quiet location.

When we stayed in the past they had the main fireplace going more often, especially in the am. This time, not as much.

Such a lovely little inn with really super staff. The restaurant is absolutely excellent. There was a fire alarm while we were there and the staff were professional and efficient in ensuring that everyone was safe and accounted for, despite the freezing weather.

    Can’t think of anything!

location is great and the grounds are amazing

they had an event and we were hoping to enjoy the Bar and restaurant they have at the Inn but it was all closed due to event, and never let me know ahead of time

The breakfast was very good. There were TWO personable employees at the Inn. ONE was the young man who checked me in on SUNDAY EVENINGJULY 28. The second person was the young lady who was in charge of the breakfast buffet for JULY 29, 30, AND AUGUST2ND.

Very cozy old building, walking distance from the Quetchee Gorge. Quiet, pleasant, feels like an old timer hotel. Excellent breakfast!

Electrical outlets are sparse and wriggly.

Stunning location. Close to lots of fun activities. Beautiful old home. Bar/common area cozy and fun with fire place, live entertainment one night and very personable Bartender. Restaurant serving dinner excellent. Breakfast good but starts late if you are traveling for work (8am)
