Room was what would be expected for a hostel. They could have cleaned up the spider webs a bit better though. It wife have made the difference.

Location in the middle of Fox Glacier township

The bathrooms were extremely small and taking a shower was liable to set off the smoke detector

The location was great. Backpackers loved it and the backpacker section seemed clean and comfortable.

My room had a backed up toilet - filled with paper. No one noticed? The staff moved me to another room. I only had one channel on the TV. The staff was new, no one knew what was going on. They said Sir Cedric had just taken over the property.

Very relaxing. Quiet spot in Fox township. Staff very pleasant.

No air conditioning or room safe as noted on Booking.com. A fan was provided and a safe at reception. Amenities were lacking.

Should have stayed longer

Very comfortable and spacious in central location. Good breakfast w bacon and eggs on the menu! Helpful staff. Looks to be the best place to stay in Fox Glacier

Not really a criticism of the hotel, but watch out re dinner. Limited choice in Fox Glacier for dinner and fill up quickly from late afternoon. Best avoid Cook Saddle where the staff seem to have been trained by Basil Fawlty

The location is the only good thing about the property. It is right in the township, close to restaurants.

From the moment I walked in to the reception area, a very unpleasant smell hit me. The smell permeated throughout the hotel. We needed to open the windows and doors to try to reduce the smell. The property is priced at the highest end of the market, but don’t be fooled, this is not a high end establishment. Te Weheka is vastly overpriced.

This was a fabulous hotel. Location was fantastic and Ash the hostess was amazing. She recommended a fantastic restaurant for dinner and helped me to book a flight over the glaciers the next day.

Property was very clean and comfortable, great size room.

The breakfast server/cook came out of kitchen wiping her nose on back of her hands and told us she wasn’t ready. We were there at the time we were told that breakfast was opened. She was rude, her attitude was bad.

For the price we paid the quality was poor. The balcony was of no use - too small for a chair or table. Fridge was noisy. Plug was missing in the sink. They need to attend to the proper maintenence the rooms

The location was convenient and close to local restaurants and attractions. The cooked breakfast was a great bonus. The fan helped cool the room from the late afternoon sun.
