Mt Cook View Motel - Fox Glacier

I stay this often. Great location and helpful staff.

I'm a spoiled American and prefer unlimited wifi access. This hotel uses the paper passwords good for 1 GB of data. They have progressed though.

We got lucky to stay in room 8; brand new and fabulous bathroom… so worth it after a day of exploring and being in rainy weather! Very clean and comfortable room.The host was very welcoming and Beimish, their black Labrador, and absolute delight to play with ?

The stay is located on the foot of fox glacier and close to Lake Mathieson, you also get snow mountain view outside your unit. Staff were very friendly as well.

The beds were not as comfortable as I would like, also you could hear noises from outside and next room

Lovely apartment, clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. Welcoming owner. Amazing views of mountains and fox glacier. Quiet location away from main road and village

This cute motel was perfectly placed. It had a family-like charm from the moment we arrived. We felt at home. Our kids loved roaming around, petting the dogs and seeing other animals. The staff was so friendly. We can’t wait to come back!

Roomy two-bedroom unit — clean, tidy, and plenty of space to relax. Only downside is that it was pretty expensive during the holiday season. Otherwise, a comfortable stay

Great location, the hosts were very welcoming and left a heater and lights on for our late arrival. We had a comfortable stay there.

There was a light outside our room #7 and no way to turn it off. It disrupted our sleep. A blind on the door to keep the room dark, or turning off the light at 10pm would have made the stay better.

There’re many insects in the room. It’s probably because of the opened window.

Matt, the owner was extremely helpful. He helped us book a helicopter ride, and he had great recommendations for dinner, breakfast and a hike around Lake Mathison.The room was spacious.

The rooms were a little rustic and needed some updating but still very functional.

The owners were very nice! They told us all the good spots to eat, view the glaciers, hike, etc, which were all amazing. Plus they have two super cute dogs who greeted us when we arrived and in the morning when we left.

Great friendly owner! Beautiful farm like stay that has an amazing location. The owner told us about the best spot to view the Fox glacier! Two friendly dogs showed up at our door to see us. The owner said the dogs must love you to only be at your door. :))))Very spacious place with a smart TV and equiped kitchen.Extra bed for a 3rd person. Kitchen has everything for 3 people from 3 plates to 3 mugs to 3 knives. :))) with a rice cooker. Its basically an efficiency apartment. Beautifully kept place with an excellent location. Parking is plenty with front and back/rear entry (via kitchen) in to the apartment. wish we had booked this place for a longer stay! great view of Mt. Cook from the apartment!! Again.... the host made us feel very welcomed! and when we asked if we could leave a few mins after 10 am... he smiled and said.... sure. take as long as you wish. while we left in 15, we remembered his kindness. HIGHLY recommended!!!

Everything is to be loved about this place. The ONLY issue we had was that the bathroom has old piping and water connection. Hot and cold water are separate so its soooo hard to mix cold/hot water. While the bathroom is large and spacious it was very hard to use the wash basin especially when you are in the "Glacier" country!!! :)

Super spacious, clean and in the perfect location! The resident dogs were also a highlight of our stay! Would love to stay here again.

My Wife didn’t like the shower head as it hard to shower while wearing a shower cap.

A Great Stay with Furry Friends!We loved our stay here! The location is perfect if you're visiting the lake - it's only a 10-minute drive away.The best part was the two very friendly dogs living on the property. They were so playful and loved to interact with us!With convenient access to local restaurants and great value for money, we highly recommend this place!
