staff were courteous

the motel needs attention. lawnshavent been mowed for a long time. cigarette buts not cleared from outside bins. Not what you would expect from a NZ --- dollars a night!

Clean comfy well appointed friendly

Owners who obviously loved New Zealand and loved operating a B&B, they gave lots of informations, had good conversations with guests, answered all questions and took great care of their property.Great location.

You could hear people in the next room.

Nothing, was a nightmare since we got there. Paid full price for 4 people and only place for 3 people to sleep. The room was extremely hot ? and the toilet seat wasn't fitted and risk for sliding off the toilet. My adult daughter slept on the floor, really after speaking to the Manager on the phone, she didn't want to list to what my husband was saying. There were no that was available to go to in Fox glacier. We had to stay but left the next morning early. This is not a hotel but a dump. Not recommend it to anyone and shouldn't be on trivago. We rate it minus 10

Clean room, friendly staff, beautiful place.

Broken washing machine, bad wifi (stayed also in a dormitory nearby and it wasn't the case there), cold restroom. This is ok for a cheap motel, but paying 220nzd/day you expect a better quality.

Location was great, old style hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff.

Had work being done to it from just being old.

wasnt clean upto the mark. We found lots of mosquitos n some spiders in the room n washroom.

Booked for 3 people and only got 1 bed

Large room with surprisingly big and modern bathroom. Warm room even on a cold day. Good shower with hot water and great water pressure. Clean and tidy. Massive, comfy bed!

Tidy but felt a little dated. Loud fridge might bother some but I slept through it fine. Our bathroom had no window and very little air flow even with the fan on so it was hard to circulate air through after a shower etc

High Peaks is in a good position just outside the small town of Fox Glacier, and is easy to find. My contact with staff was very limited, but everyone was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and had a comfortable bed, and the bathroom was excellent.

Convenient location, easy to find.

Huge shout out to the Receptionist Lucy who could not have been more helpful. It was wonderfully quiet. My only issue was I was on public transport & there isn’t any in Fox town so it was quite a walk with suitcase - but on the way to very beautiful Lake Matheson, not to be missed! The eco-tour of the glacier area on foot was excellent too and had pick up from the hotel??

The location on foot was challenging. There’s no microwave, but there’s a fridge & coffee/tea making.

It was clean.

Having fire alarm go at 11.15pm at night and with no staff on site it took a fellow guest to ring 111 and have the volunteer fire brigade arrive to turn the alarm off.

Great sized rooms and helpful friendly staff

No milk toaster or any cooking facility.

Location was good.

Tried to contact staff on the morning we checked out as realised had left something in the room. Left the accommodation at 8.30am. Tried calling between 9am and 12pm. No answer. Went back to the accommodation to find a staff member. None found. Checked room to see if item still there but it wasn't. Had to leave without item.

Advertised as a hotel but no restaurant or bar. Tv channels not as advertised, not all lights worked

Door lock to room in need of repair.No coins available from Reception to operate laundry machines.No milk in the refrigerator when we arrived.

Friendly and helpful duty manager. Very comfortable bed.

Lack of some appliances - toaster, microwave oven, bedside tables. Poorly designed shower causes some flooding of the floor leading to musty smell in the bathroom.

Convenient location; comfortable beds; good facilities.
