Fox Glacier TOP 10 Holiday Park & Motels

It was clean, in fact one of the cleanest holiday parks during our trip, great location. Fine roomsize and facilities. Linen looked a bit used, but it was clean and there were extra blankets. Possible to park at the door. Good location.

Unstable internet connection, thin walls.

In spite of a problem with booking.com (I suspect) where the owners could easily have cancelled our booking , the staff seemed to understand and held our booking which was settled on our arrival. Thank you Fox Glacier TOP 10 Holiday Park & Motels.

I can only think of one thing I did dislike. The office seemed to be not manned during the expected hours.

Price, very friendly staff.

It is a hostel, but priced accordingly. They did a great job keeping things clean and tidy for the amount of people staying there in the peak of summer.

Basic room in a camping ground. Nice collective kitchen, but bring your pots and pans, none available. Facilities are very clean, it’s good for a stopover

An excellent place to stay. Staff was incredibly friendly and supportive. We had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The challet we stayed was very clean and tidy. Will definitely book this place again in our next trip. Great location- highly recommend this place.

Location was great and the park is overall neat and comfortable. The beds were super comfy and warm! Thank you - it was a great stay!

The bathrooms weren’t super clean - not sure if they did a clean after we checked out but felt that a clean early morning might've done the trick.

Staff was extremely friendly, so many different activities for the kids, all the facilities kept very clean and tidy.

We should have stayed for longer ?

Great location, excellent facilities and very friendly helpful team. We were made to feel very welcome.

The unit was clean and well stocked, great shower.

We could not get the TV to work and there was nobody that we could ask to help us when we turned it on in the evening.

The park had everything we needed and some. Communal spaces were clean and easy to use. Kids loved having some extra activities like the bikes and spa pool!

Everything costs extra. They are not providing anything. Reception closes at 7 PM. If you arrive 7:05, you need to self check in. You cannot cook anything because you need to rent kitchen equipment. You even don’t get a plate or cutlery for free.If you want to play table tennis, again you need to bring your own stuff or go to the reception. If you want to use some of the fun cars like the ones which they are promoting - again you need to pay for it.And if you arrive at 7:05 as we did - you are lost, because without a reception nothing can be used and preparing a dinner is almost impossible, if you cannot find helpful people who are sharing their private equipment.Moreover, the basic room is - as the receptionist said on the next morning - “basic”. So you can only expect a “basic” room with 4 walls, a door and a bed. That was a short conversation and I felt that as “basic” customer should only receive “basic” deliverables if you pay ~ 166 NZD for one night. There is no picture on the wall, no welcoming or something nice in the room. The key of our room was stabled in a sheet of paper with “basic”information. If you want to get out the key, you are ripping the paper with the actually interesting information on it. But again, if you book “basic”, you cannot expect an envelope for 166 NZD a night with a nice welcoming paper - because you are just a “basic” customer. In my opinion the location cannot justify the pricing and the title “TOP”.We stood at a backpacker location in Nelson for half price with a well equipped room, very good kitchen equipment, a welcoming community area, towels and bath equipment including a hairdryer and a reception which was opened until 22 PM and very good amenity services - everything included in the price.And last but not least: the internet is slow. If you want to do some Homeoffice tasks, you will have no chance to load any data etc. for simple google surfing it is okay.

Really nice studio apartment, very easy to access and parking space is directly in front of the apartment too.

Good location with walking distance to restaurants/driving distance to good sightseeing areas

We were quite disappointed with our stay unfortunately. The room was very basic (which is stated so we expected this) but it was also extremely hot in the room and due to the sandflies it was a battle with the windows and doors being open- would’ve been perfect if they had installed fly screens in front of the two windows to allow some draft to get in without being feasted on by the sandflies!! Also no aircon/basic fan.The showers were also really unclean, we stayed for 3 nights and on the first day there was no hand soap in the women’s toilets, another guest said they had informed the staff two days prior and still nothing had been refilled. I spoke with the staff our first night regarding this also, yet nil had been done. The showers didn’t appear to have been cleaned during our whole stay either!
