Nothing really

Bathroom not cleaned very well, ragged towels and very discoloured. Needs a face lift.

Very beautiful surrounding sites with cafes nearby (walking distance). Rooms were large and well equipped, bed was very comfortable. We rested very very well and were happy to have a break from the van.

Better laundry facilities would be helpful.

Clean rooms, great location. It is literally opposite the road to the Fox Glacier Helicopter rides. So we just walked over to the location.

Useful kitchen items, teapot and kettle, electric frying pan! Provided extra pillows when asked. Outdoor table and chairs.

We checked in after hours and owner made this super smooth and easy. Comfortable, large room. Should note shower is over the bath and water pressure/shower head is less modern than expected, but overall would happily stay here again.

Good value room in a popular destination.

Mattress was too soft and old

Bed was pretty comfortable and it was quiet at night. Nice view over the mountains. Very friendly staff and well equipped kitchenette.

There is nothing we didn’t really like, but we were a bit disappointed with Fox Glacier in general. FG is overrated and expensive.

Easy walk to town

Had neighbors talking outside their room for 4 hours next door to us until 1am before we told them to keep quiet.There is no soundproofing from the glass windows at front of the room to the bed so you hear everyone coming and going.Close proximity to nearby bar which was noisy until around midnight.

Spacious, comfortable. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Superb facilities. Wonderful bathroom.

The room was clean, large and very comfortable. It is close to everything in the centre. The staff was wonderful to deal with.

The room was spacious and conveniently located to restaurants and attractions.

It didn't have the feeling of fresh and clean. The towels had frayed edges and one was stained. We asked for another and they obliged.

Clean and well appointed room. Host was not on site but in communication and prompt. We left behind a couple of items and he arranged to have them mailed to one of our next destinations.

Spacious, clean room with a kitchenette. Bathtub and shower! Great location and views of the mountains from the property.

We had a power blackout one we booked in, we needed to move to another motel. The management organised this for us and arranged a speedy refund.

Communications with parents and management via telephone, (parents could not speak English) regarding check in and problem solving of the blackout issue.

The location is good for us.

The room is large enough to be comfortable, amenities are rather basic. Bathroom and bedroom areas were clean. location is good for accessing local bars/restaurants within easy walking distance. Plenty of parking.

Room facilities are relatively basic.

Locate in center of fox glacier and near many cafes and shops

The location was convenient for our trip, suspect the views would have been amazing had we been there during the day. Bed was very comfortable and linen & towels were fresh and clean.The motel is minutes away from everything in town, because town is about 50m long.Check-in after hours was efficient (a sign was in reception window with our name & room number on it) Parking right outside the room. Garden in the back also looked nice.Shower was hot, toilet was clean, all the power-points worked. Pretty sure our unit also had new carpet, which felt nice underfoot. Room itself was also huge. I'd say it was perfect for our use, one night, a place to sleep and not much else, and was priced as such.

While the bed was clean, you can tell that not much care was put in to the rest of the space. The bathroom touch-points were okay, but the walls and tiles are obviously long overdue for a deep clean. The kitchenette has an odd collection of mis-matched pieces that seem to rely on the previous occupants to have done the right thing and cleaned them.The couch is not as uncomfortable as people have said, but it is in need of replacement. Bottom line, it feels like a cheap motel, but it is one.

Nice big rooms, comfortable beds.
