Sunset Motel

THE VIEW OUTSIDE WAS AWESOME OF THE MOUNTAINS. IT FELT PRIVATE & SURROUNDED BY NATURE. THE ROOM INSIDE WAS SPACIOUS, WARM, COSY & THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN STAYING WARM (IE ELECTRIC BLANKET, HEATER, EXTRA BLANKET & BATHROOM HEATING WAS PROVIDED.

THE FRIDGE WAS HARD TO READ THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE AND IT CAN FREEZE THE FOOD INSIDE THE FRIDGE LIKE A FREEZER. OTHERWISE, FROZEN FOOD IS BETTER THAN FRIDGE NOT WORKING AT ALL. LUCKY THERE IS A MICROWAVE TO DEFROST MY FOOD.

Great location, clean and great staff

It was OK.

Poor water pressure. As usual operators think by slowing the water to nothing that clients will use less. Actually less water is used with good water pressure. Motel has very little character & certainly no “Sunset”. No interaction with staff.

Location is good, near the town 2-3 mins drive with extra plus for the view while you are on the bed.

The room was really comfortable and cozy. Lovely view of the snowcapped mountain from the window. It also opens out to the neatly landscaped backyard garden. There was a great jacuzzi in the bathroom with special local bath salts! Nice touch!

There could have been a bathroom exhaust fan rather than a window opening to dissipate heat and for better privacy.

Very new and clean with good amenities in the room.

Management would not reimburse us for an unneeded second night, despite plenty of notice - Grrr

Lovely motel with a beautiful view and great location. The staff was very accommodating as we had a late check in. The room was clean and the bed was okay.

A few more towels would have been convenient.

The location is excellent . The view from the window is beautiful,and the scenery along the walking tracks is stunning as well. A short few-minute walk takes you to the restaurant, it’s about ten minutes to the town center. The room is very clean, the bed is very comfortable,and it’s definitely worth recommending.

.Could only get 2 single beds, but we booked only 2 days in advance, so duh.

Beautiful view of the cloud-covered snowcaps and not too far from town amenities. Room was clean and warm during some poor weather. Easy walk to a restaurant.

The location is very good and the view from the room was beautiful.Room wasnt fancy but efficient..

The extra blanket was disgustingly dirty. We left a note cause we couldn't use it.

Rooms are spacious and heating is good. Beds are fairly comfortable and location is good.

Mould in Bathroom due to the fact that there is no extractor fan to aid removal of moisture. Opening window in bathroom does not aid moisture removal due to location and accessibility for smaller people. The shower curtain only drops down to a foot off the floor causing water to be sprayed to large portions of the bathroom floor.

Can't thinking anything

The room was very quiet, the spa bath was great addition. The view was amazing. The bed was clean and comfortable. Good studio size room with lounge area and kitchenette. Didn’t have an oven but the stove and microwave was good for us. Accomodation is so expensive these days and this Room was very good value for money, would stay again.

Even though the motel has no smoking in the room policy, Guests are allowed to smoke on the small balcony space outside their rooms facing the view. Which is a shared area. one night we had someone next to us who smoked and we had to keep our sliding door and window shut otherwise the smoke would come into our room. Luckily they were only there for one night so the rest of our stay was fine. It would be good to have smoking and non smoking sections.
