About

Located within one of the most characteristic Venetian villas of Marghera, this elegant hotel is found in the center of one of the most enchanting areas of Venice, City Garden. Occupying a privileged position in Marghera, the villa is away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet close to the bridge connecting the mainland to the historic center of Venice (4.3 mi). The location of the hotel also allows easy access around the city and to the surrounding areas; nearby there is the motorway, underground, train station and a frequent bus service.

    Pros +

    • -close to the railwaystation (walking distance) -parking on property -safe, gated hotel -supermarket near -mini fridge available
    • The hotel is very nice, elegant, exceptionally clean. It has elevator even if it has only 2 floors. The room is big,the bed comfortable, the balcony has a small table and chairs, you can enjoy your cup of coffee there, with the view of a quiet, elegant street with vilas and gardens. There is Tv very well positioned, you can watch it from the comfort of your bed. Also there is a fridge working well so you can enjoy a cold juice .There is daily room cleaning, water bottle provided daily, and all toiletries. The bathroom (has hairdryer )is modern, with shower cabin ,extremelly clean. The garden offers parking space and also nice place with table and chairs if you want to enjoy some moments downstairs surrounded by nice decorative statues. There is a pizzeria exactly opposite to the hotel. The bus stop is near and there are busses taking you in different directions including of course Venezia. Mrs Barbara who received me and allowed me to check in even if I was coming too early, is very helpful ,ready with any information you need. It is a lovely place and I hope to return back soon, in my next holiday.Everything was perfect!
    • Great stuff. Clean rooms, basic things that are needed for staying in a hotel. The location is good, not far from the bus stop and shop

    Cons -

    • if only there was cattle
    • Everything was very old, a/c not working, dirty furniture (bed headboard), broken shower head, falling apart hairdryer. Paper thin walls, no insulation. And no one is on reception.
    • Maybe a water heater with some coffee or tea bags in the room would have been helpful. A long mirror either inside the room or one in the corridor.

Convenient location to get to Venice.

Very clean, very well maintained. Comfortable, good location and nice and helpful staff.

Maybe a water heater with some coffee or tea bags in the room would have been helpful. A long mirror either inside the room or one in the corridor.

Close to public transport to Venice and secured gated fence

Walls are thin so can hear noise and no one at reception

    6BrigitaPosted on: 8-30-2024

    Secured parking.

It's very old. The pic on booking are not realistic as it is.

Good for 1 or 2 nights just to visit Venecia (bus stop is in walking distance). Parking place available for the car which is very convenient. Place is a bit old, but room was clean, AC was working and bed comfortable.

The location is worst and no facility except beds

Nothing very bad and the worst part is check out time is 10:00 am

    6BeatricePosted on: 8-20-2024

    Room temperature was fine.

There was no way to get a cup of coffee at the hotel. A 3-star hotel in which there is no kettle or other possibility to get a cup of coffee in the morning. There were ants living in the room with me. ?? The surfaces of the table and cabinets were sticky.

Nice rooms and balcony! Tnx for parking!

    9VeronicaPosted on: 8-14-2024

The room was clean, the location is perfect if you need the train station or the bus station toward Venice.

No proper sound isolation. You can hear everything from the hall or next room.

Great secure parking, friendly enough receptionist, family room with queen bed plus single bed and an additional request for rooms close together was also confirmed in advance and fulfilled. The property was very responsive to requests and questions. There was a little sweetie tray in the reception area which I thought was a nice touch and very nice that they gave a few bottles of water in the room. The location is very convenient for getting to Venice city by bus or car or water taxi. Marciano pub and lidl are close by which was nice and we also went to a decent breakfast / cafe / pattiserie a few streets away. Also a small kids playground nearby.

No rubbish bin in the room - only bathroom, no facility to make tea or coffee (not in the room or reception area), fridge in the room didn’t work and was leaking, shower had no door so the whole bathroom was wet after a shower, no proper hand soap, small hairs found on bed linen, hair drier didn’t work, shower flooded easily, there was a bit of mold in the shower, the walls are very thin and you hear everything from above, below and each connecting wall, beds were not very comfortable… I also didn’t like that the reception door was left unlocked 24/7… I would say in a nutshell the whole place needs basic maintenance and repairs.

The parking of the hotel is private, in the hotels courtyard. The furniture in the rooms is nice, but the rooms are a little bit old and in need of a renovation. The room has a mini refrigerator and balcony. The trip to Venice from here with bus is around 20 min.

If you are going to visit Venice, there are nicer hotels in Venice, for the same price.

Good location. Close to supermarkets. Quiet street. Easy entrance.

Staff was not present for some time during the day. The sound insulation was bad.

    8MaricelaPosted on: 7-6-2024

The room was clean and well located. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station and near places to eat. The location was in a quieter part of town. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming.

The room was a little dated, but still clean and comfortable.

Arrived on schedule to this family-owned property and found the room key on the check-in desk; along with a basket to place my "tax" money into. When I reached the room, I found it clean; as was the bath. Unfortunately, the hair dryer was broken. The walk to the bus stop going to the Island takes only 5 minutes ... upon check-out, it is only another 10 /15 minute walk back to reach transport to the train station.

Arrived at property appx. 3pm and discovered there was no staff anywhere around. After not finding information about the area; transportation or how to obtain bus tickets/or location ... messaged for Help. A lovely lady named Barbara did arrive from another location and was able to show me the way to the bus stop. The property is located in a residential neighborhood; primarily inhabited by workers from other countries. As noted, the Bus to the Island takes 20-25 minutes (return trip in 10). In 3 days, I never saw staff other than the (very nice) cleaning lady. Other guests expressed the same frustration as I about the "self-check-in". While the room was very clean, facilities are quite out-dated and need a extensive overhaul. Unfortunately, there was NO air conditioning and Barbara advised the outside temp must be above 23c before it is turned on. She was able to turn it on after I advised I had been unable to sleep for 3 days due to the heat. Lastly, this might be the Most uncomfortable bed I've had in ANY hotel/guest house.

Lady at the reception was really nice and welcoming, and rooms were really clean. Having a balcony was a big plus for us.This place has its own closed parking area, which is nice, as I didn't have to think if something will happen to our car while we were off exploring Venice. The location is great for both getting on and off the highway, but also close to Venice. Near the hotel are bus lines 53E, 6 and 6L that will lead you directly to Venice.
