Hotel Laguna Residence

.Location was good as bus and tram very close including access to ticket office. Staff were very helpful (good detailed info on use of bus/tram, buying transport ticket and getting a taxi). Also, pleasant and friendly.

Did not get my wake-up call but I used my cellphone as backup thank goodness. Room small but bathroom goo size. Please note (below under how to identify me) that I'm not from Norwalk, CT. I'm from British Columbia, Canada

Noise at night, people talking and smoking which bothered me. Also, there were no breakfast options for people with gluten allergies.

Very mixed feelings, the main guy at the reception was super nice and helpful, the others seemed standoffish. The room itself was OK, but the hotel itself and the area around is questionable (although the restaurant around the corner is great!). For a budget option it's okay, but not something I would re-book.

Poor breakfast selection; a few of the times there was no staff there so we couldn't ask for coffee as they make it on the bar, so you have to ask.

It was ok. Very strong smell upon entry

Shower was not clean. Moldy, A/C was broken (falling off the wall) first day, fixed promptly

Friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient to catch a public transport to Venice or the main train station

I stayed at the hotel yesterday. The environment is very nice and quiet, the hotel has its own parking place and there is a bus stop in front of the hotel to go to Venice. Which you can easily get to Venice.

Not clean as expected. The flushtank didn't work properly. Air-conditioning system was noisy

Breakfast is good value for 10 euro.

They cancelled the 4 people room I ordered and spilt us up, just because some other customer came and wanted to stay longer in that room, even tho we booked the place month in advance. They offered a replacement, but the excitment was already killed

The location was nice, close to the bus stop, quiet neighborhood. The room was quiet as well, there was a bath in the bathroom and fridge was working as well. Breakfast was good overall, provided with toasts, ham, cheese, croissants, juices, cakes, yoghurt.

You can see the hotel is not of the newest ones, furniture may be a little bit older than you expected. Also, in the morning we found out that the thermostat was not working during the night so we woke up freezing a little bit, but I think that can be solved quickly if necessary.

A perfect accommodation for few days to visit Venice. With bus/tram stop 1 min away of hotel to and from Venice/Mestre. Reading the other reviews, I don't know if it was just my luck or random chance. But.. the space was perfect for what I needed. A warm shower, cleanliness, restful bed. I can't really praise the pillows, otherwise, many greetings to the room service. I had clean towels every day. Also, the front desk staff was very friendly and communicative. Many thanks and greetings from Romania! I really recommend Laguna Residence Hotel with confidence!

- it was kept clean - staff was polite and let us check in earlier- bus to venice central sration in front of hotel

- very outdated hotel, you do not get that really from the pictures on the website- kinda sketchy neighborhood (but really the whole town was a bit sketchy, especially after dark)- paper thin walls - uncomfortable bed and pillows - not the cheapest option

Perfect for what we required, just a place to sleep and shower. Bus right outside the door so was easy to get to Venice/train station. Staff at front desk were very accommodating and helpful.

Beds were a little uncomfortable but did the job.

We had a one-night stay in this hotel before continuing our road trip. The staff is friendly and helpful!Location is perfect, Bus and Tram station are just in front of the Hotel. We enjoyed tea in the nice weather in the garden of the hotel. It was great to take a night walk near the hotel.

Since the room is very small, movement is a bit limited.

The hotel is old and not very well maintained.The beds were uncomfortable.The location is not convenient, nothing to do within walking distance.Most of the staff were friendly with the exception of a girl who gave us wrong information about how to pay for the bus to Venice station. We almost get a ticket at the station because of the information she provided us, when we told her what happened she gave us attitude.

Hotel and location

Breakfast had a lot of choices, but not many healthy options, which seems typical of Italian breakfasts.Location was decent because it was right by the bus stop to go to Venice. The bad part was the neighborhood is very dark at night, and as a woman who was travelling alone, was a little bit scary.Staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was tiny, and had no place to sit besides the bed. Only 2 hangers in the closet. I tried to stay out all day because if I came back to my room to there was nothing I could do but sit on the bed.

Perfect location. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel Bus 6L and you are in Venice in 15 mins without worrying about your car and your belongings... No need to pay for crazy car park fees. We stayed for a night which was 96€ so it was perfect for short stays. Excellent price & performance hotel.
