About

The Ferraioli is a charming building from the early 20th century in Atrani, a pretty fisherman's village just outside Amalfi. The themed rooms are named and styled after famous movie actresses. There are 85 steps to access the property. Each room has a different design that echoes the unique style and personality of its namesake actress. All rooms include air conditioning and a private bathroom with bath or shower. Most rooms offer sea views, and some have a hydromassage bath. Breakfast is a varied buffet. Leisure facilities on site include a spa with Finnish sauna, steam room and hot tub. The sun terrace with parasols and deck chairs offers fantastic sea views. Hotel Palazzo Ferraioli is a few hundred yards from Atrani's sandy beach and the small harbor. You can easily reach interesting cities like Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples, not to mention the island of Capri.

    Pros +

    • Room had beautiful view of town. Rooftop bar was delightful. Near free swimming area, and hotel provided beach towels. Short (10 min.) walk to Amalfi. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable.
    • Location is good but a small town. Access to restaurants and local stores are easy and fast. Beautiful views. Very nice facilities and hotel. Access to SITA bus.
    • All staff members encountered were helpful, gracious and kind

    Cons -

    • Getting to the hotel from the street requires walking up many, many steps--not a hotel for those with difficulty walking.
    • There are 76 steps from the town square up to to the hotel lobby-reception area. That is after about 30 steps down from the bus top off the roadway. If you have a disability, knee or hip problems then this is probably not the place for you.
    • Difficulty in finding hotel initially

Everything was great - the views of Atrani and the ocean cove from our balcony superior room were really spectacular, and beds were super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great and varied, and the coffee bar staff were super friendly. The reception team helped us arrange many logistical aspects and activities, including our transport from Naples train station, which was much better priced than anything I could find online. It really helped make the trip special and memorable.

Traveling with a large group of 10, the journey up to the hotel from the only taxi street drop-off location is about 80 steps and was a little difficult with heavy bags - this was well-stated, and the hotel did have a few porters meet us to assist, but with so many of us, several of us got a good work out with the haul.

Beautiful location with a great room overlooking Atrani. We had a corner room with ocean/City view and large jacuzzi in the room...magnificent. Great views, awesome air-conditioning, great bed, and beautiful rooftop for Aperitivos!

    Nothing!

    Disappointing

The jacuzzi in the room made noise for hours! Too noisy and too hard to find! No assistance offered for luggage service! No car park available

Gorgeous property with beautiful views. The breakfast was lovely and the staff was really nice. Carlo was always a friendly face when we came back for the day.

The bed was uncomfortable and our TV never worked properly.

Really relaxing by the pool with the guys bringing drinks on a tray. Fantastic food and house wine was perfect.

    Only staying one night

The location of this hotel (excluding the steps to it) was simply amazing! Our room had the most gorgeous view of the beach, sea, and church. The area was less crowded than the city of Amalfi but a close walk!

    I loved everything!

The guy who helped me with parking was very nice and helpful person. Location is convenient to walk around and rent a boat .

Since hotel does not have its own parking, you’ll have to use valet service for 40 Euro per day.Beach by the hotel is not easy to walk on. It’s also small and you’ll have to ware shoes in the water. It’s also too crowded and right near the motor boats. To stay in places like this, you’ll have to have a rental car and/or rent a boat.

The staff were lovely, breakfast was excellent. Nice restaurants in the square below the hotel.

There were so many steps to reach the property so not suitable for people with problems with their knees or need a walking stick. The air conditioning unit only has one temperature whether it says 18 or 25c, it stays at the low temperature. Told staff but it couldn’t be fixed.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful village! Breakfast was good and ther is also a beautiful roof terrace with views onto the hills in the back and the beach. Our room was very spacious and had a great view of the beach, as well, which was also quick and easy to reach. Also grateful for the luggage service up the many stairs when arriving!

This is obviously expected on the Amalfi coast but the way up from the beach should not be underestimated for people who might have knee-issues or are on the elderly side. Parking wasn't too easy to reach at first, but when we returned, we found a way to not walk through the car-tunnel, but around, which was safer.

The 'Sharon Stone' room is a very nice, spacious and with a panoramic view over the sea and a small part of the beautifull liitle village of Atrani.

The town is beautiful but the hotel should be avoided

Food is terrible. We were woken up every night either by fire alarm at 2am or people in the next room screaming at each other at 4am, there is no noise insulation so it’s like you’re in the same room. Elevator broken the entire time so climbing 4 flights of stairs in extreme heat. Our room wasn’t ready until 30 minutes after check in time, so we arrived on time hot and tired with no room and they sent us to the restaurant where they said was the only place to have food, where we were charged £10 for the saltiest most terribly cooked omelette you can imagine. Very uncomfortable bed, the only good thing about this hotel is the town it’s in. It’s also impossibly hard to find the hotel if you are walking from Amalfi. They say it’s a short 10 minute walk but with luggage it’s uphill and cobbled steps all the way, so if you do brave the hotel then get a bus or taxi there.

    Going up too many stairs

Breakfast was FANTASTIC!The breakfast staff were super friendly! Made me feel so welcome. Carlo was Superman helping me with the luggage. I’m still in awe how he carried my very heavy bag up all those stairs, amazing.Room was so clean everyday and organized me a little bit

I definitely would have liked a better view. A bit disappointing.

    9PetePosted on: 7-7-2024

Atrani is lovely which is a great start and the hotel is right in it. The hotel is really comfortable but what sets it apart is the people. From the reception staff who are all excellent to the breakfast guys to the concierge Carlo who is strong ( needed with all the steps) helpful and the perfect concierge, it made the stay that much more personal. We loved it. And the walk to Ravello, the restaurants in the square and the beach make this a magical place.

Nothing. Wouldn’t change anything as it might upset that family dynamic.

    7VrajPosted on: 5-10-2024

staff was really helpful, especially our valet Carlo who helped us with the luggage, also the receptionist who helped us with locations, taxi, and ferry bookings.

to reach the location the first time was a challenge following Google Maps as there are small streets to navigate. lots of steps to climb with bags

    10BiancaPosted on: 5-5-2024

Beautiful hotel, amazing view, great breakfast, friendly staff. Rooms are quite big, very clean and comfortable. Carlos was very friendly and helpful.Be prapared to go up and down to Amalfi, there are several stairs from the hotel till there.

One staff pretended to speak English, it caused some confusion when they were supposed to call us to take the taxi. She gave our luggage away, without letting us know.

    7GaryPosted on: 4-19-2024

The staff were really helpful. Breakfast very good. If you are not very agile not ideal as lots of steps to climb.

This is just a personal thing but I don’t like themed bedrooms. You are in Italy and I am not sure American actresses is a vibe. Maybe keep it traditional Italy,
