Caldera Cave Hotel

It was such an amazing experience we had. The view from the hotel and our room was just spectacular. We could watch the balloons early in the morning. We had a wonderful terrace overlooking Uchisar Castle. Uchisar is the best location to stay in Cappadocia region and our experience in the hotel was speechless.

I stayed there with my partner and we had an unfortunate incident during our stay. I lost my gold necklace and my partner lost some cash. We are almost 100% sure that this happened during our stay at the hotel, however, we don't want to accuse anyone without any evidence.

Stunning room with one of the best views we've ever seen at the top of the hill in Uçhisar overlooking the Cave Houses. Tourists were close by taking pictures of the views they are that good. Also one of the best breakfasts we had all week across several hotels.

Dynamic pricing as we wanted to stay another night but the price for the room was changing online. Hotel reception is not always manned. Some natural ceiling sand and grit was falling from the ceiling.

The cleanliness and the staff courtesy , very helpful and informative about things to do and advised rightly

The place looks unassuming from outside but is wonderful inside. The helpful staff gave us a free upgrade of our rooms. The stone rooms were beautiful with an outstanding view and lovely bathroom. Location was great, right beside Uchisar castle. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast overlooking the castle

Parking was a little confusing - you have to use nearby car parks but it was unclear whether they were free for hotel guests

It was a great location with a view of Uchisar Castle right in front of me, but the sewage smell in the room bothered me.

Great location, wonderful staff. The view from the room was better than I could have imagined. Breakfast was a treat and always more than enough to eat. I would highly recommend eating in the restaurant in the evening, the food was delicious. Local shops and more restaurants walking distance.The room was freshened every morning, and staff were always on hand to ask if you needed anything. I will definitely be returning :)

Staff was amazing and very helpful. The restaurant connected to the hotel also had a very delicious menu. The included breakfast was superb and you will absolutely be full afterwards. Loved my room, was a bit cold but I was provided with a heater to make my stay more comfortable. The view of Uchisar Castle is literally a few steps from your room door and you can also take a short walk to the castle to see the balloons at sunrise. Loved this hotel!

Excellent location, friendly staff. And you’re sleeping in a cave! Staff was super helpful, even setting up our balloon trip for us.

Not a huge fan of Nescafé. Had to park the car in the town square.

The Staff was always available( receptionist really works hard, he does everything , including serving your breakfast ). The Room was very good. Breakfast was good too.

-Bathroom doesn’t have heater and in winter this is really cold. -To access the room you need to do 2 staircases which not ideal with luggages. ( the staff is willing to help you)

the steps to the bed are too steep in the cave room. danger of falling down for elderly and kids while coming down.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. It has such a beautiful setting, so picturesque and awe inspiring. We enjoyed every moment at this lovely hotel. What made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable was the very helpful, attentive, and kind staff. My wife sprained her ankle. The help and care we received from everyone touched us tremendously. From Hamid, the restaurant manager who helped support her hobbling back to the hotel, to asking if we needed medical attention, to arranging for it...all in a most pleasant and caring manner.The hotel manager, who very kindly offered to change our room from downstairs to one that was on the same level as the lobby. So unexpected and generous an offer...to make it easier for my wife who was on cast and crutches.Wahid and the restaurant cook, who served us such a lovely breakfast and showed us care and warmth .The staff made a huge impact on us.

Absolutely stunning views, wonderful clean rooms, beautiful never ending Turkish breakfast

Hotel is situated in a calm side-street and offers unique, best-views-in-town towards Uçhisar Castle. The very friendly staff helped us arrange a last-minute balloon trip. The breakfast was really tasty (non-buffet, served to the table). In general, the hotel would have been a really great option to recommend if not the issue described below.Note that there is no parking dedicated to the hotel. But you can leave your car on the nearby streets (just watch all those little no-parking signs) or in the small but busy paid car park located in the city square 100m away (costs just 30 lira).

The smell of mold in one of the rooms and in the bathroom was awful in our king-size apartment. I really regret to write it because apart from this, the hotel was great. But this issue is so severe that I would not even consider staying there again unless it is somehow sorted out. :(Minor thing: there was just a single shelf in the wardrobe and just one hanger, meaning it was not possible to comfortably store your clothes.

the cave hotel has a spectacular view and is located in the middle of Uchisar. You can walk from your terrace to explore the stone formations... wonder ful terrace for an excellent breakfast, we also can recommend the dinner on the roof terrasse of the hotelA marvellous place to stay in Kappadokia

We were very well received at Caldera Cave Hotel. The breakfast was awesome - especially as vegetarians, there were so many fresh and healthy options for breakfast. The hotel helped us organise a taxi with a reliable taxi driver and accommodated our requests with no issues. Wahab really was a great host and always managed to make us laugh. If you do visit, be sure to try the Fettucine Alfredo (without chicken, for us) - it was exceptional!
