Pros +
- Great breakfast bar, large bathroom, clean hotel.
- The hotel is close to Molyvos and it has a nice atmosphere with pretty gardens. The rooms are big enough. The taverna is very nice (except the staff)
- The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and food were of high quality. The rooms weren't very luxurious, but they were extremely clean. Overall, the hotel was definitely worth
Cons -
- Hallway noise, drive to the hotel property
- The whole place has an old 70’s feel to it. Their pool and beach loungers are old most of them dirty! It is impossible to find loungers around the small pool area with most locals using more than one and noone to help or coordinate. Worst part was the waitresses at the Taverna who brought the wrong bill then screamed at me when I tried to get the corrected bill to print and sign. They did not understand english (I was just trying to understand the difference and have the correct one printed) they were aggressive and extremely rude! It is a shame really because the Taverna is so nice otherwise!… their beach quality is below average.
- Room beds were not very comfortable, sharp edges cut our knees. Mostly families stay so pool area is kind of loud

Location waa great, its restaurant and food were good, haa its own beach and large pool
Room beds were not very comfortable, sharp edges cut our knees. Mostly families stay so pool area is kind of loud
Breakfast healthy. Room very spacious. Room amenities super. Your dose of coffee/tea in room is for your whole stay & not renewed every night. Private beach & car park. Seen tennis court w/o activity observed. Large clean swimming pool. Gravel beach clean & gang board usable w/shower. Beds super comfy. Couch may sleep even two.
Shower head not stable. Room Coffe not renewed every day
Places (pool, restaurant, tavern and beach) are very close to each other. It is very practical hotel. It is two minutes drive to Molyvos. Hotel employees were smiling.
They don’t change beach towels after use. They ask us to give it back when we are checking out. We have read in comments and experienced that the bathroom smells from time to time. In addition, air conditioning was very noisy. Probably it was old style and not well maintained.
Great location for a calm and relaxing holiday. Right next to a beautiful beach, we had the opportunity to enjoy the sea the whole day. The staff was very kind and helpful. We received their kind help for arranging the transportation during our stay. Breakfast was fresh and had a good variety. We also enjoyed some local dishes at the tavern and loved every single choice. Totally recommended.
lovely atmosphere, lots of space everwhere, good food and beauty all around
Very helpful staff, great seaside, location.
5 minutes drive to Molyvos, in a quiet, peacefull land with its own beach. As far as I observe the hotel is preferred by elderly people from different countries, you feel isolated from the crowd of molyvos, however you are far away from charm of molyvos. Thats your choice.
Beach was too windy, it may be our luck, of course this is not hotels responsibility ? but it might be due to the location of beach, if this is your deal breaker check this in detailThere was a bad smell in our room coming from bathroom drain and this was really annoying.
The palms. The distance from center of Molyvos. Polite staff.
Very old furniture and dark room, the sink was smelling bad, the balcony was really small. The room needs big renovation! Partly sea view while we were informed by the reception we had sea view. Garbage around the surrounding area.
The hotel had a nice pool area with a nice restaurant with very good food staff were mostly friendly and pleasant rooms were large enough just a little out of date
Think the rooms could do with a bit of up dating we had a problem with the sir conditioning wasn’t working well they did do there best and try to fix it even if it was very late at night but unfortunately we couldn’t sleep much because of the heat
Overall, it was a good stay
What I didn't like was that the room smelled like sewer coming from the bathroom and when you open the balcony door to air out the room the mosquitos would come in. It would have nice to have a screen door as well.
From start until the end, the staff was always very helpful, professional but also made us felt home at the same time. The room was very big and comfy, everything needed was in there when we arrived. There were a lot of options in the breakfast and even for this busy period, they replenished the food and drinks without a delay so everything was available.
The location is a bit far away from the village and the road is not safe to walk so it will be better to rent a car or take a cab. Even though there are signs to not to leave towels and personal belongings on the sunbeds around the pool, it's frustrating to see some people still act like this.
Very comfortable room, great facilities, great variety and quality breakfast. Hotel nicely set up in its natural environment.
The whole facility was very clean and comfortable, with great breakfast options. Restaurant serves delicious dinner menu. Hotel is just by the sea so you can either enjoy the pool or the sea. Personnel was nice and helpful. Rooms are large and have balcony, which is very handy to dry wet towels etc. The nearby town is lively and has a lot of shops and restaurants.
There is nothing I did not like but just as a side note, the pool is salt-water pool so you might see some seaweed on the bottom. And you need beach shoes when going to the beach as it is a pebble beach.
It was close enough to Molyvos -by car- but also in the quiet side of the region. Sunset seeing was pleasant.
Considering the facilities and the overall quality it was pricey.
Location is good, hotel has a beach. Rooms are big.
Breakfast is just a standard one. Don’t expect too much. We had better Greek breakfasts in different hotels. The personnel is not genial (which is just the contrary to Greek culture that we are used to experience in other places in Greece). Additionally, the hotels beach towels are very old. Needs to be renewed.
Staff, location, sea and tastes of their snack bar
Location too far from Molyvos to walkRooms cramped and noisy, we were a family of 4 and asked for adjoining rooms but were placed on different floors. Bathroom doors open outwards and rooms are basic.Beach dirty and parasols & beds run downPool we never used as all the sunbeds were reserved with towels every morning - even though there is a hotel policy to restrict guests from doing this. The breakfast was the same every day with no changes, I asked the morning waiting staff if the menu changed at all and she took this as an offensive question? The same Greek lady serves at the onsite taverna where the staff are rude and don’t care - the food is very poor and inedible see below message to hotel.I am following up on my request to move hotel room.I am by no means a light sleeper but cannot endure another nights of disrupted sleep. As described to your receptionist earlier this morning after spending one night in the room I have identified a number of issues including:Noise, there is gap below the door which allows in any noise from the corridorThe corridor has outside door open at one end(essentially a service corridor for housekeeping) and hotel lobby/reception at the other end creating an amplifier effect, resulting in every door closed, conversation made or housekeeping trolley moved can be heard inside the room.Beds and furniture being moved on the floor above can also be heard. The air conditioning will not go lower than 24 degrees (my wife in Room 208 experienced the same issue) I am not sure if this can be changed or is Hotel policy? but again created an uncomfortable sleeping environment.I am sorry to highlight these issues but thought best to raise early to be able to find resolution as we are staying & have paid for another 13 nights at the Aphrodite. Please respond to this email or call me on my mobileI will be returning to the hotel this evening when I will be able to discuss any solutions you propose.Regards
ordered 4 drinks ? including cocktails, a bottle of wine and water. The wine arrive first followed by the cocktails. The starters arrived followed shortly by the main courses , my wife at this point had received her main course before her starter which we were advised were only 5 mins away and after discussion removed from the bill. The quality of the food was very poor - I ordered veal burgers which were severely undercooked, my sons prawn Saganaki was good but my wife and daughters Chicken souvlaki were undercooked rubbery and I believe microwaved. The waiters did not at any point ask if the meal had been satisfactory and seemed more interested in sitting by the bar and smoking? We paid 120 euros for a meal that was mostly inedible. When I checked in to the hotel there was a keen focus for hotel guests to use the beach taverna and stay on site, unfortunately the food & especially the service (they have a bad attitude)is incomparable to that you can receive in Molyvos or Petra, and guest will always go off site.
