The sol barbados was is fantastic hotel .The only down side to it is if you have walking difficulties then you need to taxi or bus .The food was good always plenty to choose from did get busy at times in the restaurant. The big pool area was nice and always plenty of sunbeds so need to reserve 1 .and the entertainment was OK. So I would say the hotel and the staff are great and yes we would go back again .

    No complaints all was good

    Staff very kind and helpful

Food is very low quality, restaurant is always messy Many many guest queuing for one egg.the hotel should be prepared for this amount of people and arrange the restaurant accordingly.I booked for 3 nights and I went out one day earlier just to leave this mess. Advice DONT BOOk the full board.

All inclusive option is amazing. Food choices are excellent especially for children. Staff are top quality.

Sofa bed not the most comfy. Pool a little cold but you get used to it.

We liked the view from the balcony.. overall good hotel. My kids loved the "kids club". Fun activities and discos for smaller ones :)

Location of the hotel is great, breakfast is nice, lots of kids program,

Great location, good food, perfect swimming pool and slides for kids and adults. Beautiful beach just 5 min walk.

Beds could be more comfortable, you can hear neighbours a bit too much, and some neighbours were smoking on a balcony and all smoke was coming in the room as our balcony doors were open.

All was great, the food, location, staff, nearby beach, pools, bars, enertaiment for kids…Were there with two small kids, we all loved it.

    Location was good.

Nothing about this resort was good except location. There was no water/electricity the first day itself and we had to postpone our plans because of that. Breakfast was not great. My cousins took all inclusive and they hated the lunch and dinner too. I had to fight back for some refund, for the lost time. I got it, but it was a headache. Rooms were also very very basic, but comfortable.. nothing close to a 4 star. Except hair dryer and kettle, there was nothing.

    Great facilities for kids

Frequent smell of bad drains/sewage. Water and electricity turned off for a day. Multiple people had vomiting bugs.

    2RozannaPosted on: 4-20-2025

    Great location and family friendly

The higher level rooms have a terrible smell from the shower drains like sewerage, I’ve been here twice now and same on both occasions, will not be back, housekeeping will come and pour stuff down the drain but only lasts for a few hours, the hotel knows there is a problem as I complained last year but realise this is an actual hotel problem and ongoing issue, shame as rest of hotel is great but the smell is enough to make you sick

The breakfast was outstanding! It was a real treat with an incredible variety of fresh and delicious options. Choosing the all-inclusive option was a fantastic decision, as they provide the crème de la crème! It was a dream come true for the kids—ice cream, sweets, cakes, a chocolate fountain, an ice cream machine, and crepes! My children were beyond excited! Honestly, just for this incredible experience, I’d return time and time!

Unfortunately, they were unable to fulfill my request to upgrade the room, as I had booked a standard room, and the air conditioner was not functioning properly. However, I completely understood the situation since the hotel was at full occupancy. The manager did everything possible to assist us and provided a fan, a nice bottle of champagne, and juice for the kids, which made me feel truly valued.

Was a nice hotel. Been twice now. However this time the water was off. Therefore the pool was closed. Kids club couldn’t take all the kids in so only had a few. Granted this was only half the day but still. Breakfast was okay. Not as good as last year. Room was fine. However not noise proof. I could hear the man vomiting all night next door. Could hear everyone’s conversation. Kids running up and down the corridors at all hours. Don’t think I will be back next year

The hotel only had 3 lifts for the whole hotel which did not cater for the amount of guest so long waits! The restaurant was like a cattle market, we where a party of 12 , 7 of us got sickness and diarrhoea and lots of other guest, hotel was not interested, we ending up eating out which was very disappointing as we where all inclusive so we wasted lots of money, but felt after falling ill we could not use the restaurant everyone touching everything it was a mess, had sausages one morning and they where uncooked in middle. On last day we had no power or water in room or in the hotel, staff did not communicate , were not helpful and a general do not care attitude.the one positive where the cleaning team kept our room clean everyday and brought extra bedding when small child was sick.

    7DurdanPosted on: 4-14-2025

Ok on last night no power no water unable to shower and to carry suitcase down 6 flights of stairs as no lift or help was disappointing but it is what it is

    4BaileyPosted on: 4-13-2025

Norovirus outbreak but the hotel did not do anything to overcome this and denied it was happening. Feeding time was like being in a zoo absolute chaos. People were throwing up in the lobby and reception areas. The rooms were very clean though and the pool was good for the kids.
