Pros +
- comfortable, good food good service
- The position- great view all around The opulance The historical value
- The renovations are top class.
Cons -
- No lift
- We were not told that the room was going to be smaller after the change to valley view. I guess we thought valley view would be better but I would rather stay in spaceious place then smaller place with view because we were out mostly.
- This hotel is overpriced and not what is advertised. The rooms was small, smelt musty and dusty. The window was non opening and the view was of the carpark. The decor is not art deco as described. There was no access to the outdoor areas that overlooked the views. The restaurants were expensive and unwelcoming. No room for hanging clothes in the tiny wardrobe, just an old ironing board. The fridge was old, tired and tiny. No assistance with Luggage. I would have scored this hotel a 0 but not possible. Even the gardens seemed tired and the tennis courts run down. We were extremely upset as this was supposed to be our one and only get away for the year, just to relax and enjoy a comfortable environment together. Our disappointment was so extreme, we left and went home on the first day. We could not even sleep in such a small space with no air...the airconditioner also smelt and was not working very well. Will never stay again. Was just a large waste of money.T

The view, food and staffs. Room was clean, beautiful but we got transferred to valley view from standard and realized after that we have been given smaller rooms.

The foyer of the hotel was lovely

The hotel has great history, the staff were nice and the food excellent.
It’s needs more maintenance to bring it up to current standards.
Cute vibes. As long as you are happy to know it is a very old hotel then you will think its lovely. There is certainly an old charm
We didn't get any acknowledgement of our special occasion. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom was freezing. 2 Kahlua night caps cost $65.Overall the hotel met my old charm expectations however these things really impacted our stay. Particularly not having our milestone acknowledged
Spectacular location and sensitive imaginative restoration
It’s a pity the salon du te is not open as a pre dinner bar or tea room. It’s so stylish. Also the lighting in the restaurant in the evening was grim and dead. All it would take is swapping out all the cold white led bulbs for warm white bulbs. The whole ambiance was a bit flat and grey - made it seem cold
The view was spectacular and the hotel interior was beautiful . The winter garden restaurant was very elegant and the menu served amazing food
We stayed in the delamonte wing and the lift was very loud , especially early in the morning . Difficult to find way to hotel reception, signage directing people would be good .
Quiet, location
Room size too small, only one sitting chair. Shower wet the whole floor in bathroom. Dinner a bit expensive for what you get.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The service was excellent. We had the buffet breakfast and the food was delicious.
Hydro Majestic is a true gem! The hotel has a great location, just a few minutes from Katoomba Centre, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. The breakfast, served with a breathtaking view of the valley, is a real treat – both for the taste buds and the eyes! The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!
Small rooms, OK given heritage building, Wintergarden Restaurant food was five star
Beds were great. Casino Bar was very nice.View was great
A little pricey in the restaurant and accommodation
Manager on duty (Marcus) was very accomodating and helpful.
Bed sheet was too rough, and exterior building need TLC
The views, the food, the history, the service and the atmosphere were all tops. The bed was also comfy
It did advertise here that there is cable tv which says to me subscription services. At the end of the evening after exhausting all the lovely facilities we retired to our room to relax with a movie before bed, however there was only free to air tv. Don't advertise it as cable if it's not subscription. It think it's just standard now to have subscription services particularly for high class. Also no top sheet on beds. It annoys me that you only have a choice of being really warm with the quilt or nothing at all. I like the option of a top sheet to be that in between and not the full quilt
Nice view, charming environment, staff were helpful
Felt run down, windows were dirty, room very small, expensive. One room had an obstructed view of the car park.
Location and amenities were beautiful.
Elevator was slow and a little tricky as it stopped whilst on one trip..
Lovely view. Exceptional staff especially Marcus. Very comfortable. Good food.
Beautiful views, great restaurant and incredible history
