An extensive range of kids activities. Bed was comfortable, the free soft for the kids was a nice touch. Close to the local town.

The food was a little overpriced

The facilities (pool, sauna, ice skating rink)

It was quite run down in parts

    9BarwickPosted on: 2-17-2026

The location, services available for children and the awe inspiring wonderment within pockets of the garden areas.

Only 1 lift was operating. Waiting times were very long.

    8MonicaPosted on: 2-17-2026

    Very nice and accommodating staff.

The smell in reception: it was very strong musky, incense like smell that didn't really give a good first impression.

    8MonaPosted on: 2-15-2026

The location, the staff, the room, the activities and the breakfast. I loved the bush walk near the resort. Back again for sure.

We couldn’t sleep properly because we could hear everything from the next room, no insulation between rooms.

From the moment we arrived until the last minute we departed each and every member of staff from the door staff, reception, restaurant, day spa and bar staff were amazing. Polite and accommodating is an understatement. 10/10.

There was nothing at all we disliked about our stay or the property.

We visit regular and in this occasion to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we like the location and we usually enjoy the amenities.

Room had a large wine stain on the floor, bar closed at 8pm on a Wednesday night and 9pm on Thursday, the whiskey bar also closed early, dinner in the Embers restaurant was woeful and expensive for what was served up. My chicken maryland was pre cooked and not reheated properly, when I pointed this out to the waitress she informed me she would let the Chef know! No offer of compensation of any kind.

    Activities for kids were great

Beds uncomfortable, especially the fold outs. Food was expensive and average. Pool and spa run down.

    4CarolePosted on: 2-11-2026

    Location & staff so helpful.

Run down, needs painting, pool looked dirty & maintenance overall of property obviously not happened. Holes in room curtains, paint peeling on all surfaces outside. One gate to pool had hoses running across it which dangerous. Signage to facilitates inadequate. Food almost inedible from room service, ambience in Embers restaurant lacking.

I enjoyed the property’s location. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the views were great.

The heated pool was freezing, the sauna only reached 60 degrees, and the jacuzzi (spa) was cold. There was an unpleasant, pungent smell throughout the hotel. The food at the restaurants was mediocre, except for the waffle chips and breakfast. The hotel staff was unresponsive when I called them.

Their cafe area was lovely, The staff were lovely. Always got a great coffee here,The steak restaurant downstairs was superb. The food and staff were exceptional.

Our room. The outdoor courtyard was dirty and uninviting. We had no idea it was a pet friendly hotel and were confronted with dogs walking around inside and barking when left unattended in rooms. I have two dogs myself but found this not very appealing. Our room was very dated. Room cleaning on day 2 was non-existent. Clearly catering for families of young children ad not enough attention given to anyone else.l

Restaurant is fab. Karen the manager made our stay, fantastic food, super view of the mountains & exceptional service…Highlight of the stay by far. The Spa is also very good!

Property is dated & tired & needs investment…

Beautiful location very disappointed with the property not good value

Extremely dated no bar after 8pm

    Spacious, great facilities.

Lack of cleanliness and mould in the bathroom.

    4RobinsonPosted on: 2-2-2026

View and maybe the staff and some facilities .Car park is too far to walk especially if you have luggages. There should be a courtesy golf cart to pick up guests.

Food in the restaurant..salad was pathetic .3 kinds of leaves and disgusting dressing..so sour. Lunch caesar salad too is unacceptable..little bacon brown pi c es and over cooked. Salad dressing not good..no taste of anchovies. Anchovies scattered on top of the salad is dark and not fresh. I know what quality anchovies taste like.

Great amenities for kids, loads to do

The property in general could do with a little TLC and info from front desk if you have kids to explain when the slides etc operate and what’s on offer for them rather than leave you to figure it yourself!
