Pros +
- The old world charm, helpful staff, free parking
- The staff were lovely, always very happy to help The overall olde-worlde feel of the hotel Having my room upgraded to a king Position
- Good location to visit the Blue Mountains but also be close to restaurants for dinner.
Cons -
- Dinner wasn't available in dining room, shower over bath and definitely No lifts!!
- I was unable to adjust the heating & was very cold. There was a heater in the cupboard, extra blankets but still climbed into bed at 7 pm. Towels were scratchy, yellowed & old. One side of the bed had a clear depression from overuse though still comfy
- Overall it did not meet our expectations for the star rating. It was very dated, there were stains on the window curtains and the shower curtain-- just small things that were unexpected considering the price and star rating.

Location is goodRoom was very cleanStaff was friendlyHistoric hotel Breakfast was nice
Room was a little small, but was good for a historic hotel
Good location for where we were trying to go.
Not worth the price of the night. Very uncomfortable beds that you can feel the springs pushing through. Clean but very old. Many spots of the floor in our room would sink down and squeak very loudly when walking through. Not good water pressure in the shower. Not worth the value.
Walkable to downtown area and very clean. All the staff were very hospitable and went out of their way to help when needed. This is a great option in the area close to Blue Mountains. Parking was great.
The breakfast was a bit lackluster and didn’t seem staffed so was a bit confusing.
Breakfast was fine and nice dining room.
The climate control in the room did not heat well. You would put the temp to 25C but room would stay cold at 18C or less. There was a portable heater in the room but it didn't work very well and barely heated the bathroom.
We loved the history and overall decor of the property, the location was amazing and the room we had was in an amazing position. The staff were friendly and helpful, we felt safe coming and going from the hotel no matter what time of day. The added bonus for us was the common balcony area that we could access from just outside our room, there is a view of the blue mountains from here when the weather allows - photos attached.
The room could have more storage/cupboard space and a small microwave would make it feel more self-sufficient for people staying a longer period like we did for 6 nights.
Lovely reception greeting. Great location, free breakfast
Breakfast not great, finished too early. No gym and okay vfm
Comfortable, clean and friendly staff. Upgraded to large room, great bathroom and shower.
The continental breakfast could of been better
With good history and charm. Sufficiently updated, clean and quiet. Close to three sisters.
Very simple continental breakfast.
Close to blue mountain
Light in the room is really dim so overall it feels uncomfortable. Place is old, room structure isn't squared and floor mat colour and cleanliness is questioned so might not want to visit again. If lighting is improved it would be a lot better though. In the morning, the lobby feels nice and cozy.
If you want a real boutique stay…this is it. Super friendly staff that were helpful with things to due and places to eat. We added a few more days for that reason. Parking is good with a very close Aldi, laundry and Woolworth. One mile walking to 3 Sisters lookout.
1. Congratulations to the day manager when I checked in - Michelle. She was very friendly and polite. She greeted me whenever she saw me coming and going, and it gave a very welocming air to the hotel. 2. Parking good.3. Good idea to have barrista coffee at breakfast.
I think you could be more varied in the continental breakfast.
Great location, helpful staff, light breakfast included.
Bed and linen was not so comfortable.
The location was great, car parking was easy because it wasnt full. The room was pretty good, comfortable.
There was maintenance required on the room. The towel rail in the bathrrom looked like someone had grabbed it for a hand rail , probably to assist getting out of the bathtub/shower. It needs a grab rail. The toilet seat would not stay up on its own, thats a bloke thing . The iron needs electrical attention, inner cables wer busting out of the outer cord sheath, near the bottom of the iron. The air con was hard to operate, needed somer additional instructions. The key holder just inside the door is broken, had sticky tape holding it together. Windows really need fly screens, opened them up for a nice breeze and the blow flys came straight in. Breakfast was way too late, like from 7.30am. We should have been told this at checkin, but had to find it in the booklet in the room. Way too late for us. Small stuff, but should be addressed.
Great location lots of food options near the hotel.Reception person was amazing too.
Bathroom was a bit narrow. One night it was really windy and the building rattles a lot.
Location was excellent as we were attending a wedding that weekend. Walking distance to the centre of the Katoomba. Room was very clean and comfortable. An abundance of parking within the hotel. The old charm of the place really shone through. Would stay again for another weekend.
Continental breakfast could have been a little more than just cereal and toast.
