Cons -
- No light near stairs near room, parking difficult on southern side, one side of electric blanket not working, driveway entrance hjas large dip very difficult for low car & has obvioulsy needed maintenance for a long time.
- Lousy air con - very shabby. Curtains falling down. Lights not working. Highway noise
- Upon arriving at reception the woman on reception sat at the computer terminal and made me wait while she stared into the screen, she was not operating a mouse or keyboard, I was not greeted just asked "do you have photo ID?" I was then asked without viewing the ID "do you have booking and what surname". I was offered milk, enough for one nights stay not two and told I would be in room 15. This woman was truly ignorant and not suitable as reception, no smile, no hospitality and disrespectful.

Not a lot to like.

pretty clean , not excelently cleaned
very old old furniture, toilet didnt work properly curtains were hanging off,
A clean large room in an older motel that had been re-furbished. Bed was comfy and air conditioning excellent.
Not a big deal but TV remote needed batteries, office shut when we got home after dinner out.
I was there to arrend a wedding and meet some friends the following night. So it was adequate.
If I had known there were rooms with only step access I would have requested a room with flat access. The grounds could do with some tlc.
really comfy bed, the heater warmed the room really quickly, electric blankets ensured a super warm stay. Kettle and a minifridge were useful too, spare blankets and pillows were great. Stayed twice, both times we had a question or an ask and the staff were really helpful.
Close to where we needed to go
Climate in Blackheath is cool and damp so towels should be changed daily. Had to ask for new towels on day 2. Could not get ABC on TV, only Foxtel (room 1)
Clean. Tidy. Close to Blackheath shops. Close to other areas of the Blue Mountains.
Too close to the highway.
The motel is in easy walking distance of the hall for the Blackheath Chamber Music Festival, which is why I chose it in the first place.
The only issues were the room backed onto the highway so I got some traffic & train noise. The higher units would have been quieter. Also the shower only had a curtain so some water splash.
The property is old but it got interesting character, beautiful old wood. It would be perfect if the owner renovate it a bit . Got everything we need, clean and comfortable. Next to all the shop, IGA, petrol station that open late. Easy access to Katoomba , Scenic world . Good value for money. Perfect for a short stay while visiting the Blue moutain
Next to the main Street and train track
Cozy, covenient
It was by the road so it was a bit noisy, at least our room. The parking was cramped.
The Motel is located close to the Station and shops.
The room we were in needed a good clean, the smell of air freshener and dust were over powering. New pillows may help. The noise from traffic and trains meant a sleepless night. I expected better for $145.
Quite noisy being on hwy & trains at back but wasn't enough to keep us awake. Comfy beds & clean. Obviously a bit outdated but my biggest gripe was the TV had one foxtel NRL footy channel nothing else. ?
Location
Tv did not work, bed was terribly uncomfortable and pilllw was like a rock
Comfy room, clean
Tv should have netflix or other streaming services,Or atleast option to connect your phone to the tv so you can watch your shows.Like SMART tv
The room was exceptionally clean. It wasnt noisy which was surprising given it is on the highway. The staff were wonderful in allowing us to book in early as we had a wedding to attend.
It is a bit old but that just adds character. Would have liked some milk for tea and coffee.
Nice and clean, great location for what we needed.
Just a personal choice I prefer a softer bed
