Room was not very sound proof. Lots of hallway noise. Bed was not very comfortable and pillows were very flat. Cleanliness of bathroom could have been better.

Not the first time through. Rooms are comfortable and clean, staff pleasant, kitchen area well appointed.

They've changed the Internet provider, much for the worse. Slower connection than before (4.7U/4.7D) and site blocking enforced. Necessitated logging in every day.

Lovely old historic building in a great location to restaurants and middle of village. Nice staff.

I love the vibe this place has – spacious vintage room, indoor and outdoor common area with entertainment, and location in the very heart of the Blue Mountains. The receptionist stayed overtime to check me in long after the business hours – much appreciated! You get faster wifi if you download their app.

There is space for improvement in the hostel's shared kitchen – new cooking equipment (pans) and salt/pepper available for everyone.

Located in a building full of history and beautiful art deco design. Staff was amazing.

Bed was super comfy, staff were lovely and the facilities good. Everywhere was kept very clean. Great location right on the main street - just a short walk to the town centre. The building is beautiful and spacious with a 'grand old hotel' feel, even though it's a youth hostel. The decor is very nice in the reception and dining areas with fairy lights, and the music playing gives it a relaxed vibe. The outdoor courtyard area is very pretty too.

location was superb, lots of supermarkets and cafes close by, clean

you get to choose your own bed which could have been good if you arrive early, and some beds didn't have bedside charging ports

The shower had toiletries. The location was great and the shared kitchen was well stocked

The mattress and pillows were terrible, flat and hard to sleep on. While a bath towel was provided, there was no bath mat or hand towel

Great location, facilities were great, the common area was large with plenty of seating. Loved the pool table and table tennis. Kitchen was very functional, lots of fridge space. Easy walk to the main street for cafes, bakeries and shops

Dorm doors were very noisy. Would have like to see a compost bin in the kitchen

The kitchen is nice, and it is convenient that several grocery stores are nearby. The location is terrific!

Beautiful and spacious common area with pool table, sofas, movie screen, and most importantly a massive kitchen with everything you need to cook, just bring ingredients. Friendly reception.

Maybe I was spoiled by two months in Southeast Asian hostels, but I found it odd that we had to make our own beds and bring all the linens to reception at checkout.

location is great, I can walk around to get to the shops easily, kitchen is big and easy to access, if I stay longer, I would use the kitchen, you can get walk to the supermarket to get grocery then take them back to cook for yourself.

It would be the heater system in the room, if you have little kids then they might get burn when touching it.

I booked online through booking.com and was led to believe that breakfast came with my booking. However, it didn't, and I was asked to pay for breakfast. Please improve this communication online! Also the handle was missing on one of the restroom doors.
