    Pros +

    • Location was not bad, good for the rsl across the road. Pretty quiet aswell.
    • Easy check-in. Beautiful place. Free breakfast. Cute rooms. Easy check-out.
    • We arrived after hours, and Sylvia was very helpful with instructions and very easy to follow to get access to keys. The beds were comfortable and whole house was ducted, which was nice considering we were able to warm up fairly quickly on a chilly night. We were provided with complimentary continental breakfast, and as were travelling with elderly parents, we were able to take breakfast back to cottage and enjoyed at our own leisure. Sylvia was also very kind to allow a late check out given we had the elderlies with us.

    Cons -

    • The hair ball in the corner of the shower was quite gross. Obviously hadn’t been cleaned since the last guest unfortunately
    • The garden surrounding the cottage was quite overgrown, and cleanliness was average at best. The "second" bathroom was not really a bathroom, but a very odd shower stall and the laundry tub, and separate toilet.
    • A clothes dryer would have helped if the weather was too wet for washed laundry to be hung on the Hill's hoist.Garden was overgrown - needed mowing and trimming.Master bed too soft on the edges - hard to sit on it without sliding off the sides!

Comfortable 4-bedroom cottage with rustic charm. Lots of room for 4 adults and 1 toddler. Well-equipped kitchen. Working aircon and appliances. Ample continental breakfast included.Convenient location to town and attractions.Very helpful and cheerful manager.

Reception staff were excellent, very helpful, especially with storing my bicycle. continental Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Room was a good size with thoughtful inclusions.

Sheer Curtains over the windows would be good as the room faced the car park. A teatowel would be nice too for washing up cups.

The king room was spacious with a nice shower and bed. The hotel itself is a little dated but charming in its own way. The staff were very friendly and the basic breakfast (cereal, toast) was sufficent. Location a couple of blocks outside of the main town in the direction of Echo Point was perfect.

The location was excellent with access to Jamison Valley and shopping equally good.

The WiFi. Internet access was throttled to 5MBps download, and require repeated logins every 30 minutes or so to continue to work. Even worse, they capped the data download and I was cut off. Ridiculous for a property that touts itself as a "convention center" and if you want to stream a show or three, beware.

Beautiful cosy cottage, had everything we needed. Lovely comfortable beds and full kitchen for cooking.

    7GrahamPosted on: 9-27-2025

Close to town centre, older hotel with some great features like stained glass. Public rooms were cold, but a/c in rooms. Breakfast buffet was basic but free. Staff very friendly and polite.

Only had fruit at breakfast on one of the two days

Breakfast was good. Shower was good. Bed was comfortable.

Room didn't get changed. Received about 12 inappropriate emails about properties that we had not stayed in. Not enough parking.

Friendly staff, complimentary breakfast, interesting building. Excellent location, close to centre.

No free coffee on breakfast, but personal were friendly and kind.

Rooms are small but cozy, loved the little lounge area down near the lobby with board games and a fireplace. great little family get away place. felt like i was home with the grandparents again.dining area for breakfast as easy enough to find, with a small easy going spread for the start of the day, complementary as with the stay. Also love that it is nice and close to walk to echos point and the katoomba center.

A few squeaky floorboards but other than that and amazing place to stay. Staff are a little hard to find at times but there is a phone number to call them if they are not at the desk.

It was a nice hotel. We went in winter and the room was freezing but warmed up very quickly.

The room was so cold when we checked in. It would be nice if they would pre warm them.

    8MikePosted on: 7-20-2025

Friendly staff, close to everything, good continental breakfast. Stress free

Cracked windows in rooms not repaired. Tiny TV without streaming services.

    Complementary Breakfast,Service

Wifi - After 300 MB, one gets disconnected and has to connect again. After 2 GB, Access gets denied. The bathroom didn't get warm in Winter, even with AC on full blast.

    3CatherinePosted on: 7-6-2025

It was close to Scenic World.

The hotel and rooms were quite smelly. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, with springs poking into your back and side. There was a hole in the bathroom window that let in a draft into the bedroom. There was supposed to be breakfast but we couldn't find anyone in the morning, so we just left. Overall, it really was not a pleasant stay.

    7AndreaPosted on: 6-25-2025

Excellent location. Plenty of beds which was great for extended family, very warm with the central heating.

Hot water ran out on first night after only two showers. It reheated overnight and was no problem thereafter.

    Location is good.

House is old & out of the date but still keep it clean.

The place is ok but a little pricy for what it is. Staff are really nice and the location is great. The hotel gets so much potential but need refreshing

    The design of the room

    7RobertPosted on: 5-2-2025

Location was great right next door to the RSL for good meals.

Bed was terrible room was like daylight all night, terrible drafts yes it is an old building and was charming. It was cold and had a beautiful sitting room with fire place that was never lit.
