Katoomba Town Centre Motel

It was basic but fine all that was required and great value for money especially with the hot breakfast inclued.

Walls were very thin sound travelled easily.

Good Motel in a great position. Very clean and great staff just a little dated in places but not a concern to us.

not happy at all, disappointed

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife during our trip to the Blue Mountains, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. When we arrived, the room was messy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. attached a photo, which was taken when we entered the room after receiving our keys. The bins were still full, and we even found long hairs on the bed, which was really unpleasant.On top of that, it was very hard to sleep at night because the lights outside the room were extremely bright, and the window blinds did nothing to block the light. Overall, it felt like the hotel had no attention to cleanliness or guest comfort.We expected much better, especially after booking through Booking.com. Definitely not worth the price.

the staff were amazing and hospitable and the location was brilliant. perfect 4 min drive to 3 sisters and the other facilities and we walked to shops and dinner etc. just great location

booking.com said there was a kitchen but it was just a bar fridge and mini microwave, so I would ring next time to get the family room. the beds were not comfortable but i did find out later that you can ask for mattress toppers so next time I would do both those things to get a better sleep and a proper fridge.

The location is very convenient for Blue Mountain visit, just 5 minutes away from Scenic World. All Amenities close by. Room was clean and bedding comfortable. Showers great.

Fantastic central location, nice staff, well maintained. For a small place the layout worked well for the 4 of us.

Very central, rooms were incredibly clean and warm. The reverse cycle aircon was quiet. The beds were comfy with lots of extra blankets. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would happily stay here again

The heating in the room was good and it was very close to Aldi and Woolworths. There were cafes, a bakery and restaurants within walking distance. The room was quiet despite the hotel being full. We couldn’t hear any outside noise or from next door.

The carpet in the room had two huge stains, the laminex near the sink looked like it was stained or dirty and there was mould in the shower. The place looked tired and dated. The main light fitting had been changed to a smaller fixture at some time as there was the old paint showing. You could see that furniture wasn’t moved when vacuumed as the legs had a build up of thick dust.

The location is fantastic. It is halfway between the train station and the main lookouts. Supermarkets and all other shops are just across the street. The staff was fantastic and very friendly. The room was great. The bed was comfy with nice, clean sheets. The bathroom and kitchenette were generally clean. The style matches the price.

The only thing was a black mould corner of the bathroom above the shower. The trim above the shower was pretty worn down and would benefit from replacement.

Fantastic location, great staff very informative with Katoomba places to visit. Close to public transport to travel around Katoomba. Would definitely stay there again

The noise level from next door on our first night was horrendous but then the noise stopped at 11pm which was fine. That was the only thing I could complain about

Central location, surrounded by lots of great places to eat, supermarkets and a laundromat. The train station is also close by.

Reception opening hours are a bit limited. My room looked clearly aged (the shower wall had mould) and a lot less flash than in the photos, but the people looking after the place do make an effort to make the room as clean and comfortable as possible.

The only issue we had was when (under assumption) other people were using hot water in their rooms it would tamper with our hot water (mainly during showering: the shower would either go very very hot or ice cold)

So close to town did not need the car

Good location, VERY comfortable beds, everything you need in the room, microwave, fridge, hot shower, nice staff, easy to park.

Room furniture needs an update, a little old fashioned but we had a great stay.
