Pros +
- Fantastic location (within a 5-minute walk from the Echo Point lookout), great facilities (outdoor pool, indoor pool, multiple restaurants, spa, sauna, game room), good food (including a wonderful free breakfast), and friendly staff.
- Liked the view, responsiveness and friendliness of the staff
- The view from our room was stunning and the food at the restaurant was an experience not to be missed. The chef is particularly talented, and all the staff were lovely.
Cons -
- The room and furnishings are dated and need refurbishing.
- There wasnt always someone attending the front desk.
- There were some maintenance issues with our room. The aircon was faulty and although staff were quick to try to resolve the issue, is still didn't work properly. Sound proofing could be better too. Noise from guests in reception and the room next to us was quite loud.

Nice views
Was disappointed with the price because it wasn't worth what was charged. The beds are hard, the robes were scratchy and old, nothing was five stars
We were warmly welcomed by Bryant who showed us to our room, which was the corner suite. It had an amazing view right across the valley. The room was beautiful with all amenities and plenty of space. Breakfast was served in the restaurant with a lovely selection of granola, yoghurt, fruit and pastries brought to each table, followed by a cooked breakfast ordered from a menu. We will make sure we stay again.
Great view and exceptional staff especially Ray in the restaurantOnly complaint was lack of table space in room
This was my second time.Everything was good except the garden at Echoes wasn’t clean at all.I expected a lot so I disappointed about the garden but not anything else.
The view of the Blue Mountains from our room terrace was really spectacular. That made our stay very special.
Decor in the bedrooms could be modernised.
The room we stayed in was small for the money. The bathroom was ridiculously small. The toilet was so cramped in it was uncomfortable to use. Shower in the.bath right next to the toilet was kind of dangerous. Power outlets in the room were scarce. Had to check in and out in the hotel next door. Bit weird.Overall disappointed.
Hotel was beautiful the views from our room were amazing. Food was excellent
When we arrived at echos there was knowone on reception. We walked around looking for someone only to be told we had to go next door to the sister hotel to check in. It felt disjointed and I think there should be a member of staff in each building. Was Frustrating after a long drive. Felt there was a lack of staff generally
The views!!Waking up to the most amazing views, easy access to the walking paths. Friendly staff, clean room, nice selection of quality teas in your room. Good hairdryer nice complimentary toiletries.
Lovely comfortable room with tremendous view over the Blue Mountains
The check-in process was tiresome being directed, upon arrival, by a sign stating that all check-in processing had to be completed at the neighboring sister property - advance warning would have been helpful
The location is perfect with the gorgeous backdrop of the blue mountains and lush gardensThere are good restaurants within a walkable distance
The set up of the balcony has no privacy at all.You have full view of the other guests if you're seated outside . Other guests can also see you inside while they're walking around the garden. The carpet in the room is so worn out and smells stuffy.I struggled to relax in the room.Even the furniture is so out dated. The only place that smelled nice and looks immaculate was the reception and passages.I found the staff very cold, the guy who checked us in at Lilianfels was ok but when we got to Echoes, the guy at reception just looked at us.We had to greet him and ask for directions to our room.I've been to 4 and 5 star hotels here in Australia and overseas but this place was a total disappointment.
nice large room clean
the staff were disinterested. no real experience in hospitality wa evident . the breakfast was plain . it just lacks any 4-5 star features which it could aspire to have and in the past it did have .
Fantastic view from our room and in a brilliant location for visiting all the highlights of the blue mountains.
The room could have been cleaner and the restaurant area needed a bit of an upgrade.
Comfortable and quiet location
Room looked a bit worn and had a very chemical smell
Great location and facilities were magnificent...Spa, Tennis Court, Bar, Restaurant..
Lack of power points for business travellers. Also we thought all the rooms had a great view over the Blue Mountains..ours had a view but not spectacular....
The facilities were lovely, view was spectacular
Our exhaust fan was broken in the bathroom, we were woken by vacuuming early in the morning, echoes felt like a bit of an island away from the "main" hotel lillianfels, there were no staff around or information on how to order room service etc. we felt rather isolated.
Location, views.
Starting to show its age. Parking can be a problem; had to park at Lilianfels - again. No longer an on-site concierge; we suspect a cost-saving initiative.
Staff, food and hotel was fantastic
The mattress and pillows are dreadful Sink in the middle Pillows have no body in them at allThe most uncomfortable two nights stay we’ve ever had.
