- LOVED the spa!!!! We absolutely LOVED the whirlpools and the thelasso spa and the wet and dry saunas! It was also not expensive, more like a 5 star $1000 euro spa but only around $360 euros!!!! What. value! The hotel is beautiful. The store is lovely and we got gifts (ask for Elanora she was lovely and helped us pick out things). There is a lot to do... a great gym and great outdoor pool that we didn't even get a chance to go to! The beach is lovely and sandy. The decor is outstanding and new. Beach chairs and outdoor space is terrific, they even have a swing. Super quiet and relaxing atmosphere, we only saw one child, mostly adults. Breakfast buffet was outrageous! I couldn't believe all the lovely wonderful food hot and cold dishes they had. Everything imaginable!
- The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast had a good selection and I liked that it was away from the city and more secluded on a private beach. Staff and car service were amazing.
- Exquisite! The location , the architecture, the staff, the spa, the sea. A perfect stay!
Cons -
- Only thing that was so - so was dinner. No healthy options on the menu, which is strange for a spa. Wine list was pretty scant and no good wines by the glass. The worst part was the service. They weren't very nice it seemed like we were bothering them to ask questions. My wife is vegan, ended up with the ONE pasta they had and it wasn't very good, basically big noodles with what seemed like a jar of sauce, not homemade. We had lunch by the pool also and it said a vegetable panini so my wife ordered that, it was sliced eggplant smothered in melted cheese with a huge bun that was no panini bread and way to much bread for a slice of eggplant. WIth all the wonderful breakfast food and service they need to up their dinner game and service. Next time we will go out to one of the lovely local restaurants for dinner instead. Also, they should really show off their place and show you around the hotel, where to go,what to do including extras like hiking, biking and ebiking...they just kind of let you find it yourself. Not usual how a 5 start treats guests.
- The only negative would be that I couldn’t stay longer!
- The food selection in the restaurant in the evening was very limited. The drive to and from the highway is a little long but with nice views

The hotel is very nice with a beach on the property. Nice view of the ocean. The rooms were spacious and the staff very nice. The piano singer was a nice touch at the bar and the service great.Breakfast was wonderful with lots of options
The food selection in the restaurant in the evening was very limited. The drive to and from the highway is a little long but with nice views
beautiful location, nice facilities, good breakfast. walking distance on the beach to a relaxed dining and wining place in a camping site
quality for price of food has potential, flexibility of reception staff too.
The pool area was amazing. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t swim at the beach. Thankfully the spa was available at the resort. It was great to go there and relax when it rained. The room was lovely and spacious. We had a nice view of the pool and the beach Buffet breakfast was great with a great variety of dishes to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful. They organised our transfers from the resort to Tropea in the evenings for dinner.
The lunch menu was limited at the restaurant. It would be great if the bar area also had food options.
Pool was great with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Dinner at Matineo was very good; being able to sit outside was a plus.
The mattresses in my room could have been more comfortable; old-style spring mattress and a bit tough.
Clean rooms and facilities, it’s perfect place for a quiet beach holiday.
I thought the staff were excellent, the breakfast and evening meal was delicious the full place was spotless including the gardens .The beach and pool was perfect
Beautiful stay for our honeymoon! Although it’s a little out of the city centre, was well worth it as we had a car. The beach, pool and gardens are great amenities to relax and enjoy. Easy access to the spa facilities. We enjoyed having a continental breakfast too.
This didn’t bother us as we had a car, but location is a little out of the centre so ensure you some form of transport to get around if you do intend on leaving the resort.
beach was amazing and clean and staff well prepered
The menu in the restaurant was very limited and had nothing which included Calabria.
The hotel was great , nice view , you need a car as there is nothing nearby .
Should be replenishing of bottled water daily not just once . Breakfast choice for vegetarian was poor . No smoked fish , no salads and often empty bowls were left empty . For 2 days there was no hot chocolate for breakfast which is crazy in a hotel .
Great staff, clean, comfortable, beautiful beach.
The location was amazing, the sea water pool beautiful. The beach is stunning with crystal clear waters. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved the feel of the place - music and drinks as the sun went down. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
Nothing!
Very nice beach location. SPA area was a plus to have. Very quiet hotel, pure nature!
There was a problem with late lunch and kitchen could not cope.
rooms were comfortable snd property was well kept.
VERY limited selection at Mantineo restaurant. beach chairs were uncomfortable and could use some padding.
Nice design, beautifull beach & outdoor pool, good breakfast, Very polite, helpfull and profesional stuff. Large , nacely decorated rooms. Resort very clean.
Very inconvinient location for any travelling from resort if you do not have a car! CAR IS A MUST !!! You are just trapped!!!!! Contrary to discription on Booking.com , there are only 2 restorants. Mantineo for dinner-poor variety and tasteless cooking, Stromboli for lunch not bad, but same menu every day.It also works as a bar, but close at 8 every evening. If you want to get to any other restorant or even grocery store, you have to ask for taxi and it will cost you 30-50 euro round trip ! Nothing at all at the wolking distance, unless you are able to hike long way or climb uphill .
I admit that I came here with a little apprehension, due to certain comments about this Resort. But after a few hours of being here, all my fears disappeared. Everything is superlative!! Very spacious and clean room, excellent breakfast and dinner, the beach, the pool and the Spa are wonderful. The staff is very dedicated and very friendly.Everything is impeccable!!!The price-quality ratio is a 10.For all this we decided to extend the initial stay of 7 days with 3 more days.Thank you all very much and we highly recommend this hotel!!!
Great Hotel in ricadi Capo Vaticano city of Tropea.Remotely located on a beautiful beach. We have stopped at this resort each time we visit Italy coming from the USA. We enjoyed the relaxing /unpretentious high end setting- that allow you to reconnect with nature, listen to the sound of the weaves/ enjoys beautiful sunsets and the unobstructed view of the Stromboli island. The Hotel location is very unique, right on the water. Beautiful surrounding, photo are a true reflection of what’s here! Nothing is left to chance, a very clean environment cared for especially in the design details. We rented a small boat and traveled along the Costa Degli Dei, enjoyed snorkeling in the incredible crystal clear blue water..Most of the staff is attentive and hard working. The rooms are very nice/ clean/and spacious with a sea side view. The beds have comfortable mattress very clean linen and comfortable pillows. The bathroom are large, well decorated and clean. The hotel breakfast is delicious and substantial-there’s on elegant display of pastry /fruits/juices /cereals /colds cuts/ fresh dairies and a station that prepare eggs/any style you like.Dinner also pretty good, high quality of the raw materials which uses mostly Calabrian origin.Special mention to Rocco, an incredible waiter always with a smile on his face also thanks to Francesco /Sebastian/Sara / and others.. sorry do not recalleveryone names.Spa- It is quiet, spacious, truly adheres to international spa etiquette standards. gracious and helpful staff, offers an elegant and well-maintained area.To our knowledge this is the only high-endbeachfront Hotel in the Calabrian region.. were structure like this are hard to find.Thank you Tony& Lucia z.
We discussed with management..nothing serious
The resort was beautiful - it was expansive and set on one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever stayed at. We stayed in an Oceanview room which was so worth it. Waking up to that view was worth every penny. The service was impeccable - especially the Bar staff working the beach area. They were attentive and always catering to their guests needs. Excellent breakfast offering as well as the lunch restaurant. It was a bit more pricey than what you would find in towns, but totally understandable when you see the location of this place. The beach was beautiful and totally comparable to our beach stays in Puglia and Sardegna - white sand, blue waters, chairs and umbrella readily set up for you each day. That was the main purpose of our stay and it exceeded our expectation. The Management on staff recovered nicely from an issue we had during our stay and over-exceeded their service recovery -well done. The resolution to the issue was appropriate and appreciated.
The only constructive feedback I can give is that the location is very remote. If you have a vehicle, it's fine - you can drive out to neighboring towns for dinner (if you do not have the dinner package). If you don't have a car, there is nothing you can really walk to. There are restaurants at the top of the road, that can be accessible by walking up 3 very steep roads - it would be very difficult if you have trouble walking. One suggestion would be for the hotel to have a vehicle they can offer (even at a reasonable cost) to drive guests to local restaurants that are within a 5 min drive (but very difficult to walk to). The hotel is at the bottom of a very steep road which makes walking up it a bit difficult.
