This resort is way "undersold" online - it far exceeded our expectations! Registration was wonderful - Roberto sat us down (before escorting us personally to our rooms) and told us where everything was in the resort & made recommendations for where to visit outside the resort. The room was spacious, clean & comfortable. The shower was lovely! The beach area was a wonderful surprise - you take a path along the sea & find beach chairs & umbrellas tucked away in places where you can see the sea, have shade or sun & be alone or with others. Dinner was lovely - but the breakfast was amazing. Such a wide variety of options displayed in a beautiful way. In hindsight, we would have left or skipped our previous location just to spend more time at Hotel Cala Lunga. ***** from us!

I wouldn't change a thing.

The location, condition, staff and overall experience was top notch! The entire reception staff starting with Bernice and the restaurant staff starting with Robert and Anna were fantastic! They couldn't have been more accommodating. They were all helpful, thoughtful and tried to do everything to be sincere in every effort.

the partial ocean view and AC were both weak, but again Bernice tried to offer us another room and gave us room fans which made a big difference.

It’s beautifully designed around the landscape. The architect removed cars from the resort so there is no experience of cars while there, brilliant. The property is simple yet elegant and built into the landscape- I hope to return.

It’s a very nice property with an excellent location. The staff , first Roberto with a warm welcome and initial greetings and the during the stay always looking for our best. And Antonio in the breakfast.

There is a restaurant not associated with the hotel, right beside the property that BLASTS VERY LOUD music ALL DAY LONG so it’s impossible to relax by the pool or any of the hotel beaches due to thumping loud music. For as expensive as the rooms are, they are quite small, they charge for ALL water, no coffee or tea options in room, refrigerator in room does not work.

It was beautiful!! The rooms were luxurious, the views were stunning, and the staff was amazing. This property and island is a must visit. Everything about it was first class!

This hotel is a gem. We loved our stay here. The private beaches with crystal clear water. The picturesque location. Wonderful breakfasts in the morning. And very friendly staff.

It's not well set up for families that want to self-cater. We weren't allowed to 'picnic' in the open air lobby so had to go back to our room to eat - the restaurant wasn't open till 7:30pm and our kids go to bed at 7pm so we needed to get them fed around 6pm. Also the pool towels were completely out one day which was inconvenient. We would still choose to come back though - this place is magical!

The hotel is much better than you might think from the photos here. It is some kind of hidden shelter - you are out of reach, out of buzz. With a private beach, cleverly designed so that it is more like a few spots scattered around the cliff so that there are always only a few guests so they don't disturb each other. There's also a lovely pool with a pool bar (although it was basically closed when we visited in mid-September, there was still something for us). I must also admire the staff, who were very helpful and friendly. There was very convenient parking on-site (We flew to Olbia, rented a car, and took a ferry to the island of Maddalena).

We visited at the end of the summer season, in mid-September, and encountered a few complications with the availability of the pool and beach access towards the end of our stay.

Great Hotel/Resort with private beaches around it. The room we stayed was spectacular with a nice view to the marina. Room size is more than enough for a couple, the bed is super confortable, AC is super powerful. Bathroom is also very good with a proper good size shower. The breakfast is amazing. We wish we stayed much longer at the Hotel Cala Lunga.

Only one small wish..I wish they had more boat trip organized options available at the hotel reception.

The private beach was nice in terms of the view and the breakfast was amazing.

As it is together with private apartments, you share the common spaces like the beach and the restaurant with the people spending their vacations in those apartments. Many kids, very loud, in small beach space. We couldn’t read or relax cause it was so messy. Also, the price is very high for the facilities and services.

I loved the place where the hotel is (magic) and the privacy of the beach...the accommodation was clean and with nice amenities. The employees of the hotel are very kind. I will come back for sure.

I think that you should have room service and a coffee machine in the bedroom... It was necessary to go till the restaurant to have a little coffee. The hotel shouldn't have music in the pool bar..It doesn't match with the beauty of the place.. if we want to rest in the sun and read a book it is annoying ...it so much better to be connected with nature and the song of the sea...

Beautifully located, peaceful, clean, and most importantly: Roberto is leading a team of kind, attentive and accommodating staff who made our short stay absolutely wonderful.

Staff were super helpful and kind, gave us a free upgrade which was really appreciated with our 20month old who had the space to run around ! Restaurant was great with good amount of choice, beach bar and pool setup lovely, and the private beach had several different areas so never felt remotely busy. An amazing base for anyone wanting to explore the Maddalena archipelago (which everyone should - it's stunning ) and seriously good value for money in high season compared to NE Sardinia mainland hotels

Not a problem for us but obviously you would need to drive everywhere at night / in the day from here. Tbh in all of Sardinia it's better with a car anyway - we spent a day exploring Maddalena/ Caprera and then a day on a boat around the rest of the islands - thoroughly recommend
