    Pros +

    • Ocean view. outdoor space.
    • The view, Hotel grounds and the pools were amazing. Would highly recommend.
    • The hotel’s location near the water is its only real advantage.

    Cons -

    • No drinking water fountain. Fruit flies in breakfast room. Some food trays are empty. No paper cups or Foam cups for coffee to take to room. For the price they charge Amenities should be better. Most patio Pool area is blocked for exclusive members.
    • It was late in the season so some services were not available, but we loved our stay.
    • The property itself is old, dusty, and shows significant wear and mold. If you value cleanliness and modern comfort, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

    Cleanliness, location, view, amenities.

    The breakfast was not great.

    Good breakfast

Didn’t like sitting next to special members and special treatment for them. Including special areas exclusive to special group. Parking was too far away and costly

Great entertainment at night, really a good place to be and enjoyable. Facilities are wonderful and offer great things to do, pool activities, exercise, excursions. The cleaning service was done right away in the villas while we were at breakfast, very clean and tidy.

The services could be improved by the following;- iron availability, not just a service but there should be an iron at the property your room can request to iron items last minute, typical at any hotel/resort etc- valet service to parking lot, we are on vacation we should be able to have someone go get our car that is parked in off property lot instead of walking on busy road- food service to chairs at pool, not relaxing to ask everyone to have to sit at the restaurant to eat, and not be able to get service to your chair (most beach clubs even offer this in Europe)- towel service at pool is ridiculous, giving people 1 towel to drag around with them all day

The view is stunning! The restaurant down by the pool was absolutely delicious! (I believe it’s called beach club … We ate there multiple times because it was so good! The staff at Zagarella is very kind and accommodating! They have shows every night! Also worth noting, they have a pharmacy and doctor on the property incase you need it. (Limited hours)

There are so many stairs! I think i counted 94 stairs to get from the top family pool area, to the bottom pool area that had the beach restaurant. We had our 6 month old baby with us so it was a lot trying to get up and down! The outdoor pool area and rooms seem like they are getting a little old, but they everything was clean.

Incredible location . Great facility . Great staff

I wish they wouldn’t charge to park a car in the parking lot . Only place I know guest pay to park their car.

Rooms and facilities were lovely. As it was the start of the season it was nice and quiet and we could easily use what we wanted.

Breakfast wasn’t the best. Cold options were okay, warm options were cold the first day and didn’t try after that.

Facilities were good. Next to the sea. Beautiful scenic location

Staff doesn't know English. Don't go out of the way to help. Middle of nowhere. Taxis not available. What ever hotel arrange are expensive

Maybe the best garden in Sicily, two big swiming pool and direct acess to the sea

Big hotel, big hall for breakfast, too many people

Bright , modern and well looked after.. plenty of helpful staff

I was was very happy with location and facilities

    7FabianaPosted on: 8-30-2024

Location, beach club, all the pools, employees are very friendly, kids club is also very good.Rooms are very well cleaned.

Breakfast is unfortunately not so great, everyday the same, small option of fruits and lot of sweet croissants, few options of bread, coffee was not a good one... in this point they need to upgrade the service/options. Parking is also a nightmare... they don't let you Park at the Hotel, they send everyone to another parking place and charge a 12 euro per day, to achieve the parking you need to walking near to a very busy road.

    Superb

Without a having a rented car, it's difficult to approach the hotel. 30 min walk from the S. Flavia train station in burning sun with children is unacceptable. At the reception I was told there's no shuttle bus from the station. I had to figure out myself that there's a local service for tourists, taking you to different places gratis.

Very nice hotel and facility. Good location and very nice view..

If you are not a D-Club member you are a third party customer for the hotel. It doesnt matter that you paid also for the hotel. They send you 200m away outside of the hotel via unsafe no pedestrian way for unpaved car park and they take money for it because you are not a member. There is no space at sun beds next of the beach because you are not a member. If it is a special club and has a membership culture! Why you are accepting regular cousters via web based sites like booking.com. No way if you are not a member of the D Club…

The view from the room is beautiful, beds were comfortable. That's all.

We went for half board but breakfast and dinner were the same every day, no much options and every day the same food. Also by 9:15pm all the food were gone and no signs of them refilling with more. The location is not as great either as there is no shops or nothing near by, you definitely need a car. Also the check in and check out hours aren't great, checking in at 4pm is way too late and checking out at 10am is way too early. Finally they charge you for parking €7 a day which in my opinion should be included.

Location and facilities are fabulous. Staff is very helpful. Nice atmosphere. Cleaning service is very good.

You need a car to move around the local village.

Clean and modern- rooms & pools were lovely

Restaurant buffet service needs to be much better.Roast chicken was very very salty & other food was not up to four star hotel status unfortunately. We arrived & paid for the buffet at 20.15 and they started closing it down by 20.40 so we felt very rushed- we should have been informed on arrival at restaurant & before we paid for the buffet. No one came round with water jugs , we did ask several times - I had to get them from other tables in the end. Finally we had lots of problems with the room card key not working, several visits to reception- in the end a manual key was given until the room lock was replaced two hours later.

The hotel structure was very good. The cleaning lady was the best, very service oriented, friendly, and always did a fantastic job. A lot of swimming pools and access to the ocean. Small, but good room. Good breakfast (apart from the juice bar). Also, the hotel is very close to some great fishing villages and beaches. Just make sure you have/rent a car.

Not all staff were super friendly. Lack of organization around pools. Too many people are always around the pools' stairs. The events are not properly announced. It would have been nice to have someone letting us know about what the events(and times) would be while we were there. Also, it would have been nice to be advised that the hotel is NOT in a walking friendly area. It's basically on the road, so if you don't go by car, it will be very difficult to walk in the area.

Using the sunbeds down at the bottom by the sea and swimming in the sea from there was really nice! They had a gym that I used two times, it was nice! When we left the hotel we had an early flight, we asked in the reception and they provided us with a bag of breakfast since the restaurant wasn't open that early, very nice!

I feel cheated by booking.com since they present this property at the top of the search as a 4-star hotel, and don't mention anything about half of the facilities at the property being reserved for "D Club". If you read the reviews you can see it has fooled a lot of people, you simply don't get what you expect. Booking.com, improve! It simply isn't a four star property, I would rate it as a solid 3-star, not more. Some of the doors to the rooms have locks that does not work properly, sometimes they do not lock. The family we travelled with had seen a guy standing in the corridor by the emergency door (that was opened although it should be closed) and didn't think much about it. But at one point, a stranger entered the room since the lock didn't work properly. The woman was in the shower and yelled so the stranger left, when her man went out in the corridor just a few seconds later no one was there and the emergency exit was open. Afterwards we told the reception and they were really upset about this and we got the feeling that this wasn't the first time they heard about it.Then the thing with the "D Club". The sunbeds that you can actually use isn't enough for everyone, you need to get there really early to get a bed.
