    Pros +

    • ECELLENT beach and pools. Nice room good location and friendly staff.
    • Do Not Stay Here!
    • the food is not good, no AC in the dining room, it was extremely hot.

    Cons -

    • same of the facilites need renovation.
    • I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Kalayso Resort was deeply disappointing and well below the standard expected of a resort. The layout of the property makes accessing the rooms extremely inconvenient. The walk to our room was excessive—an unrealistic distance that left us frustrated from the moment we arrived. Once inside, the issues continued. The back door to the room did not lock properly, which raised serious concerns about security. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the sheets felt rough, with a duvet that was not clean upon arrival. The amenities were also subpar. The WiFi was unreliable and barely functional, making it difficult to stay connected. Hot water was inconsistent, with only a limited supply available, making showers an unpleasant experience.Overall, the stay failed to meet even basic expectations for comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. I would not recommend Kalayso Resort and would encourage management to address these issues urgently if they wish to maintain credibility as a resort destination.
    • rooms are old, not clean, the bathroom smalled really bad. I found a plastic cup behind the bad. the side table was with abroken

The location is amazing, and all around is fabulous. The bed is interesting, and you feel like in ancient times.

The room has very old furniture and not so clean. There were a lot of small mosquitos inside the room.

    Place, nature, beach, food.

    1. Hotel management is at lowest level. We booked a room with full double bed and sea view. We got one with 2 single mattresses together put on double bed. Sea view was possible if to go out to terrace. So, it's not a sea view, if you see the rock from the room. I talked to reception immediately after checking in, and the lady didn't get my point about bed at all. I sent 2 detailed messages to the hotel management via email and booking and i got the reaction after 3-4 days of stay (our stay was 7 nights). And still the reply was about something else. When i asked straight and shortly: do you have a room with normal double bed, they said Yes. So, it was possible to get it earlier, but no one is caring about guests and to organize exactly the booked room. 2. Room was very old. 3. Everything in the hotel is old and broken.

The pools were great, the buildings were really well done. There were a few paths to walk on the rocks. The view from the rooms and the restaurant was breathtaking.

Where to start... The place was a lark mirror. It was supposed to be 4 stars but it was not. The phone in our room was not working, and I told to the staff around mid vacation. When we left it was still not working. The entertainment activities from the village were a lie: they either did not happen or they were written to be in a place but they were in another and the receptionists did not know about it. The so-called yoga was in fact muscle awakening, and lasted only 20 minutes instead of the hour it was supposed to be. Mini disco never happened (despite it was written on the program). There were no drying racks; when I asked if it was possible to have something to dry our towels on the receptionist did not know. There was no laundry service, and people in the hotel did not know where we could go wash our clothes. Food was a very sad buffet and the waiters did not know what they were serving, meanwhile the name tags of the food were empty. Sometimes the meat was so well done it was almost burnt. The concept of "all inclusive" did not include the softdrinks for kids, and this was not said nor written anywhere. Tables did not have tablecloths or they had it forever, they were never changed or cleaned. Tables were not cleaned between people not meals. The island is quite windy and there was a lovely room facing the sea to have a meal in, but the windows were white from sea salt from the first day we arrived to the last day we stayed 2 weeks after (never cleaned). The small indoor pool was not in use, some days closed, others simply off, and the windows of the pool were badly cleaned with stains all over it.On the website they advertised some activities that were not done, and the people at the reception did not know anything about those (eg river hiking).

The grounds/location are unbelievable. The natural beauty of the place is hard to put into words. The staff was warm and helpful. We saw a dance performance that was really cool. There were goats in the surrounding hills! There is excellent hiking right from the rooms. The water is gorgeous!

Some of the facilities could use some updating. We had a really hard rain while we were there and a little rain dripped through the ceiling.

How clean it was and the staff! Everyone was exceptional and the food served in the evenings was amazing! I had to leave early in the morning and they prepared a togo breakfast for me! Wow! So accommodating!! I also loved the walking trail they created that borders the sea! Breathtaking views!

    Nothing. Everything was amazing!!

beautiful place...charming location.unbelievable.very nice staff. It was very spectacular. The value for the price paid was top notch....and we live in Hawaii. The surrounding hillsides and towns are beautiful for day trips

    -location-food was good

-wifi is terrible, considering it’s 21st century it should be available everywhere -the rooms are a bit old, entire resort needs a renovation.

    8BálintPosted on: 10-21-2024

The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet spot, surrounded by cliffs. It features a private, sheltered rocky bay ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The breakfast and dinner were both good, and there are plenty of activities, such as diving, yoga sessions, and evening entertainment. It’s also an excellent base for exploring the southern coast, whether by rental car or through the many organized trips offered by the hotel. For those who enjoy hiking, both Plakias and Amundi Beach are reachable by foot.

The place has a nostalgic 1970s vibe, but could benefit from some renovation or, at the very least, better maintenance and cleaning. In certain areas, like the small streets, dirt was swept into piles but left there for days without being collected. The restaurant service was not well organized, with waiters lacking coordination. Overall, the hotel would greatly improve with better management to address the lack of structure among seasonal and temporary staff.

The hotel is in a wonderful place and is very original. Our room was a good size and the buffet breakfast was great.

There was little or no WiFi or phone coverage. The fitness area was quite run down and the equipment there needed some attention.

Incredible location! Hotel is a bit old and definitely needs renovation. But the cliff and the territory is very nice. Personal of the hotel is friendly and helpful, food was great for its value. I wouldn’t stay for long there but for short term is nice

The bathroom in the room was a bit dirty

Fantastic location and beach area. Crystal clear water in rocky cove for swimming. Spacious accommodation

No tea/coffee facilities in room .

    8PanagiotisPosted on: 9-9-2024

Great potential, many public spaces. If someone invests in the place it will become one of the best in the region. If this place was in Italy or US it would claim thousands of euros per stay.

Everything else. Old and outdated but it kept the PASOK character of the 80s.

    8LisaPosted on: 8-30-2024

The location was amazing with stunning views of the Libyan sea. The infinity swimming pools are beautiful and the larger pirate-themed pool popular with children. Rooms cleaned daily and the breakfast buffet has lots of fresh options.

The bathroom in our room could do with some refurbishment or deep cleaning to remove stains around standing shower and bath area. More plantbased protein options for breakfast would also be good.

    2LisaPosted on: 8-19-2024

    Location - great views.

This place is falling apart. Everything needs work. There was only spotty wi-fi in the lobby which kept going out. The room smelled constantly of sewer. No wi-fi in the rooms. When the maid came all she did was take the trash. No sweeping, not cleaning, no clean towels. Most of the staff were horribly un-helpful (there were a few gems in there that were actually REALLY helpful, but not many). The access to the sea was all taken up with outside visitors coming in to enjoy the small swimming area, which made it hard to even get a space. Same as above with parking. The food was less than mediocre. This place has a good concept, but it needs to be updated.

The location is amazing with a beautiful creek perfect for snorkelling.Beautiful views of the sea from all over the resort.Stairs to go up the rock and a 30 minutes hike give access to a beautiful beach - Damnoni where some nice restaurants can be found. The staff from Kalypso were very friendly also.

The rooms could use some renewing of the facilities and the bathrooms are old style.I would be ready to pay a little more to have newer facilities.I would have also liked to have an “a la carte” restaurant as the only possibility to eat is at all inclusive, so at some point you get fed up.The main pool was dirty even though the staff did consistent efforts to clean it up every day

    6DennisPosted on: 7-17-2024

The pool was excellent for kids. I appreciated the room design, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The hotel had a unique charm, and the overall design was special.

The hotel could benefit from some renovations in certain areas. Due to its location on a cliff coast, we experienced stronger winds and gusts overall, at least from our perception. Additionally, with a few exceptions, the hotel staff could be more welcoming.
